Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 491: Our Relationship Is Special
CHAPTER 491: CHAPTER 491: OUR RELATIONSHIP IS SPECIAL
The next day.
Leon Keane had Derrick Stern book the plane tickets. By the time he and Ivana Monroe arrived at the airport lobby with Tonia, Derrick had already picked up the other four children from the police station.
The four children almost didn’t recognize Tonia when they saw her, their eyes lit up one by one.
"You... are you Tonia?" Tiger asked in shock.
"Yes." Tonia nodded.
"Wow, you’re dressed so beautifully, I almost didn’t recognize you." Little Bug exaggeratedly laughed at Tonia.
"What beautiful clothes." Nia was extremely envious, and couldn’t help but reach out to touch.
"Don’t touch."
Tonia took a few steps back, avoiding Nia’s small dirty hands.
"Stingy, just because you have new clothes, you treat friends like this." Joy also wanted to reach out to touch, but seeing Tonia act this way, she said a little angrily.
"Exactly, stingy." Nia made a face at Tonia.
Tonia felt Ivana Monroe’s gaze and was a bit at a loss; she explained, "Don’t be mad, I didn’t mean that. These were clothes my auntie gave me, and I don’t want to dirty them."
Ivana felt a pang of sorrow seeing how much Tonia cherished the clothes she gave her. She gently embraced Tonia, saying, "If Tonia likes the clothes Auntie gave, I’ll give you new clothes every season, okay? That way, Tonia won’t be afraid of dirtying them."
Tonia looked at Ivana in surprise, "Really? Auntie, you’ll visit Tonia every season?"
Ivana was momentarily stunned; the little girl misunderstood—giving clothes and visiting were two different things.
Ivana smiled and said, "This... Auntie can’t promise that, but Auntie can promise that each season there will be new clothes delivered to Tonia."
Seeing the dim look in Tonia’s eyes.
Ivana added, "If Tonia misses Auntie, study hard, and you can go to college in Ravenswood, and then you can often see Auntie."
Tonia bowed her little head, not saying a word.
She had one sister and two younger brothers.
Her sister was already in school. Her mom said there wasn’t enough money to support both her and her brother’s education, so she was told to go earn "good money," and if what she earned wasn’t enough, then her brothers would go to school instead.
Her mom said girls studying was useless, her sister went to school because she was the firstborn and was more fortunate. She wasn’t as lucky. Her two younger brothers were only a year younger than her and were twins.
So, her family couldn’t afford it, meaning she couldn’t go to school.
"What’s wrong? You don’t want to try to study in Ravenswood to see Auntie?" Ivana asked with a smile seeing Tonia so down.
Tonia shook her head but didn’t speak. She didn’t know what to say.
"Auntie, you don’t know about her family’s situation; let me tell you secretly, her grandma told my grandma there’s no way they’d send her to school." Tiger’s family lived near Tonia’s, so the news from Tonia’s family usually reached Tiger’s grandma.
"Oh? Is that so? Why?" asked Ivana.
"I don’t know why either; my grandma says not to say, and she didn’t tell me. I only know I make money to pay for future school fees, and Tonia makes money too but can’t go to school," Tiger explained.
Ivana frowned, was there some story behind this?
"I won’t study, but when I grow up, I can work in Ravenswood and visit Auntie," Tonia said, playing with her fingers.
Ivana smiled and pinched her adorable cheek, saying, "Tonia, you can study. Auntie promises to support you through school. As long as you work hard, you can get into a university in Ravenswood."
"Auntie, you..." Tonia felt the warmth of Ivana’s fingertips, her voice trembling slightly.
"I’ll sponsor your school fees until college; you call me Auntie, so we have a special connection."
Tonia’s eyes reddened.
The other four children looked on with envious eyes.
Ivana looked at them and said with a smile, "The same goes for all of you, Auntie will help you, so in the future, you won’t have to work as child laborers to pay for school."
The surprise came too suddenly for the four children to react.
When they finally reacted, they all rushed over to hug Ivana.
Ivana wrapped them all in a hug and, with a smile, said, "Alright, alright! Don’t get too excited, we’re in an airport lobby, we still have to watch for safety."
Derrick Stern looked at Ivana and the children, his eyes slightly wet. Looking to President Kane, Derrick wiped away a tear forming at the corner of his eye. President Kane was lucky to have married such a kind-hearted wife.
Alright, as much as he didn’t want to think it, he had to admit; President Kane was somewhat cold-blooded, not very compassionate.
The Kane Group reaped so much annually, yet President Kane never donated to impoverished areas or sponsored any children.
The only investment President Kane ever made was... uh... probably just to Wellbright Kindergarten, but that’s because Ian Keane attended there, so President Kane was willing to spend.
To President Kane, other children were like strangers.

Julia Sinclair’s phone rang, she took it out to see a text message.
After reading it, Julia’s face twisted into a peculiar grin.
"Hahaha... There are roads to heaven that you don’t take, yet you forcefully barge into hell. Ivana Monroe, you fool, this time I finally have the chance to end your life."
During this period, she had been waiting for the opportunity, almost going crazy.
That bitch Ivana Monroe, always with Leon Keane at work and off, with bodyguards trailing behind. The Kane Group was untouchable; her people couldn’t get in, nor find a chance to get Ivana out.
But now it was different.
Ivana Monroe boarded a plane to a remote mountainous area; it’s a golden opportunity from heaven!
Julia immediately dialed a number.
"Book me four plane tickets, to the same hellhole Ivana Monroe is flying to."
"Yes, Miss Sinclair."
Julia ended the call with a smile and drove to a certain motel, arriving at a hidden room, she knocked on the door.
The person inside slowly opened the door.
Immediately, the unpleasant smell of smoke and the stench of bad breath from yawning hit her.
Julia was utterly disgusted, covering her nose, "What took you so long to open the door?"
The shirtless man looked sleepy: "Miss Sinclair thinks it’s slow? Then I’ll be faster next time?"
Julia frowned deeply, feeling that the man’s words were inappropriate.
Once inside, with the door shut, she was suddenly embraced from behind by the man.
"Ah~ what are you doing?! Let me go."
Julia screamed.
The man groped her randomly, "Julia, you said you’d find women for us, we’re almost bursting from waiting, shouldn’t you compensate us a bit?"
Other men, at this time, also joined in.
Julia, frightened by the heat in their eyes, felt trapped, these bastards were actually trying to turn on her?
Julia was furious.
"You’d better not do anything to me; otherwise, you’ll find yourselves back in an eternal prison cell," Julia held back waves of nausea and continued, "I came here to tell you, that beauty I mentioned is already waiting for you someplace, you can do whatever you want with her, and as long as you follow my instructions, I’ll give you a hefty bonus afterward."
