CHAPTER 556: CHAPTER 556: DRY HEAVING, GOING TO THE HOSPITAL

"No, no, I promise to tell the truth."

Harrison was terrified, curled up on the ground, trembling all over.

"Take him out."

"Yes, President Kane."

Two bodyguards dragged Harrison out.

Leon Keane turned around, standing in front of the large floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the gloomy weather outside, just like his mood at the moment.

He lit a cigarette, put one hand in his trouser pocket, and stared out the window, exhaling clouds of smoke.

He smoked several.

Leon Keane finally picked up his phone and dialed his mother’s number.

It took a while for his mother to answer.

"Si... Leon... Mom’s busy now, I’ll call you later! Bye..."

"Wait a minute."

"Mom really has something urgent."

"Tomorrow at ten in the morning, I’ll send a car to pick you up."

"Ah?"

"I have something to ask, that’s it."

Not waiting for his mother to refuse, Leon Keane hung up the phone.

Hearing this, his mother’s fingers trembled, and the phone fell to the ground. She was stunned, heart pounding.

It’s coming, it’s finally coming.

Leon wouldn’t call her for no reason; it must be about Ivana, that’s why he made this call. Leon didn’t come here because he was afraid the old lady would know, which would be bad for her health.

His mother’s heart ached, after all, she is Leon’s mother, yet he thinks of Ivana at every turn, even to the point of offending her, breaking her heart.

His mother’s eyes swelled with tears, wanting to cry. She clenched her fingers, she wouldn’t let Ivana have her way. Tomorrow, she would bring the old lady with her. If Leon wants to help Ivana and question her, she’d go down fighting with Ivana.

In the blink of an eye, it was the next day.

Around seven in the morning.

Timmy Monroe and Ian Keane had breakfast, Leon Keane then had the driver take them to school.

"Daddy, can we skip school today? We want to stay with Mommy."

"Yeah, I don’t want to go to school either."

Ian fervently supported Timmy; besides, with what just happened to Mommy, they really weren’t in the mood to go to preschool.

"No." Leon Keane said resolutely.

Fawn Rhodes finished the last bite of seafood porridge, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and tenderly said to the two little boys, "Going to school increases your knowledge! Leave your mommy to me! I’ll take good care of her."

Leon Keane frowned, his dark eyes coldly looking at Fawn as if seeing her as a rival: "My wife needs you to take care of her? Hmm?"

Fawn was somewhat afraid of Leon’s gaze, too cold, without any warmth. She had never seen such a cold man before.

"Hah... It’s just a little help! Besides, Ivana and I have had a deep bond for so many years, taking care of her is my duty."

"Ivana? A deep bond for so many years?"

Leon’s words sounded very jealous. This guy was asking for trouble, daring to affectionately call his wife "Ivana" in front of him? And flaunting their relationship?

"Y-yes! Did I say something wrong?"

Fawn was frightened by Leon’s cold aura, instinctively stepping back a few steps, and asked in a trembling voice, seeing Leon’s murderous look, she shrunk her neck, puzzled looking at Ivana, as if asking with her eyes, where did I offend your husband? Why does he look at me so hatefully?

Ivana was speechless. What was Leon doing? Fawn was a woman, yet he showed such hostility?

Ivana wanted to say something...

Suddenly she felt discomfort in her stomach. She smelled the remaining seafood porridge in the pot and turned to dry heave.

Leon took a few quick steps over, supporting Ivana, and asked with concern, "Honey, what’s wrong?"

Ivana couldn’t speak from retching, tears formed at the corners of her eyes, and after a while, she stopped dry heaving, her face somewhat pale.

"Mommy."

"Mommy."

Seeing Ivana like this, both children were even more reluctant to go to school.

"Ivana, is your stomach upset? You must have caught a chill last night. Let me take you to the hospital."

Just as Fawn finished speaking, she was met with Leon’s icy glare.

She pulled back her hand extended to Ivana.

"No need, I’m fine."

Ivana suddenly felt very tired, moved to the chair, sat down slowly, forced a smile, "I’ll be okay after a little rest."

Fawn looked at Ivana’s face, "Ivana, there’s no color in your face at all, how can you be fine? I don’t care, I must take you to the hospital. Only when the doctor says you’re fine will I be at ease."

Fawn was very insistent on this matter because when they were abroad before, Ivana wouldn’t go to the hospital for any illness, always gritting her teeth and saying some nonsense about being fine in a while.

Ivana was just too strong, that’s why Fawn was worried, because many small ailments can turn into big ones if ignored.

"There’s really nothing wrong."

Ivana didn’t want to trouble Fawn.

"Mommy, Uncle Rhodes is right, you have to go to the hospital, otherwise, brother and I won’t go to school."

Timmy stood by Fawn’s side, worried because Mommy’s face was so pale.

"Mommy, we’ll go to the hospital with you."

Ian said firmly.

Leon glanced at his watch, it was almost 7:30, and his mother would be picked up in an hour and a half to the place he had arranged. He couldn’t accompany Ivana to the hospital.

But seeing Ivana like this made him very worried.

Leon suddenly lifted Ivana horizontally in his arms.

"Husband, what are you doing?"

Ivana exclaimed, her stomach started churning again, wanting to throw up.

"I’m sending someone to take you to the hospital."

"No need, I’m not... ugh..."

Before she finished speaking, Ivana started dry heaving again.

Afraid she’d actually vomit on Leon, she stretched her neck out. Leon reached his hand over, holding her face back, "You might fall off. It’s okay to throw up on me."

This woman was so silly. She’s his wife; how could he despise her?

Even if she vomited on him, he wouldn’t find it gross, just hoping she could feel a bit better.

Fawn saw how considerate Leon was towards Ivana, a hint of envy flashed in her eyes. Ivana’s man was so caring, which eased her concerns.

Leon carried Ivana into the car, instructed the driver to drive.

The two little boys quickly climbed into another luxury car, with Fawn following closely behind and getting in too.

As the car door closed, she felt the cold atmosphere of the little boy beside her.

"With such a cold face, you must be Ian! If it were Timmy, he wouldn’t have this expression towards me," Fawn slightly curled her lip, "Ian, don’t emulate your daddy’s icy expression, look at Timmy, how cute he is?"

"Chatter on, and you’ll be asked to get out."

Ian moved closer to Timmy, seemingly disliking Fawn’s proximity, his voice as cold as Leon’s, without warmth.

This child is not cute at all.

Fawn pursed her lips silently. She knew this kid wasn’t joking, and she really feared the driver would make her get out.

This is the Kane family, little ancestor, you win.
