Chapter 257: Bullying or Caring
CHAPTER 257: CHAPTER 257: BULLYING OR CARING
"See the guest out!"
Mi Wan didn’t want to say another word to Rou. Whenever she thought of the moment Rou hit Xuanxuan just now, she couldn’t help but want to fight her, but her rationality held her back. With a slight movement of her lips, two words came out of Mi Wan’s mouth like sharp swords breaking through bamboo, resounding firmly and making everyone’s eardrums vibrate!
The two bodyguards were the fastest to react, skilled in observing nuances. As soon as Mi Wan’s voice fell, they moved in unison towards Rou.
"Stop!"
Shi Minjun suddenly stood up, like a commanding queen, ordering in a deep voice.
Having been thrown out by her son last time, she had lost face once. If she was to be driven out by Mi Wan now, what authority would she have left in front of Rou?
However, the two bodyguards seemed not to hear Shi Minjun’s command. They walked to Rou’s side and grabbed her shoulders and arms indifferently, expressionless.
"Let go of me!"
The bodyguards never showed mercy when they made a move. Rou’s shoulders and arms were painfully gripped, infuriating her instantly!
Ji Dongquan hurt her last time, and she could let it go because she liked him. But she, Rou, was still the young lady of the He Family, not someone anyone could bully lightly!
"Let go, or I’ll have someone chop off your hands next time!"
Rou’s face contorted as she loudly threatened, but the bodyguards remained calm, dragging her outside.
"I told you to stop, didn’t you hear?" Shi Minjun stepped quickly past the bodyguards, blocking their way and coldly questioning with an imposing force.
"Here, we only follow the instructions of Sir and Madam. Please move aside," one of the bodyguards replied, strictly adhering to his duty.
Hearing this, Shi Minjun was almost fuming, her icy cold gaze landed back on Mi Wan. "Tell them to let go!"
"Can’t do that," Mi Wan said in a calm tone.
Shi Minjun’s face went from black to pale, then turned ashen. She gritted her teeth bitterly, glaring at the bodyguards with fury, "Get out of the way, we know where the door is, and we’ll leave ourselves!"
"..."
The two bodyguards said nothing, looking back at Mi Wan, clearly wanting to confirm her intention.
"Let them go," Mi Wan wouldn’t stop Minjun from leaving, as she really didn’t want to continue entangling with them.
With Mi Wan’s instruction, the bodyguards finally let go of Rou. Filled with anger but with nowhere to vent, Rou turned around furiously, grabbed her bag from the sofa, and rushed out rapidly.
"Rou, wait for me." Minjun was also very angry, but she maintained her elegant and noble demeanor, walking unhurriedly behind, calling after the rushing Rou.
On the second floor, He Zerui had also witnessed the scene where Xuanxuan was hit. As Rou ran out, no one noticed, He quickly slipped into his room, picked up the slingshot on his desk, hid behind the curtain, calmly observing the commotion downstairs.
Soon, Minjun and Rou appeared in his sight. He coolly drew the slingshot, then closed one eye, aiming at Rou’s right hand.
"Ah!"
Rou’s hand was suddenly struck hard by something solid, causing her body to tremble and scream out in pain.
"Which bastard ambushed me?" She lifted her hand and saw it was swollen and bruised. Instantly, Rou’s already burning anger flared up even more, turning around, she scanned the house behind her and started cursing.
"Rou, what’s wrong?" Minjun, unaware of the situation, looked at Rou perplexedly and asked.
"Auntie, look at my hand!" The intense pain made Rou increasingly irritable, almost shouting as she talked to Minjun.
"This..."
Seeing the wound on Rou’s hand, Minjun’s face darkened. She was silent for two seconds, then grabbed Rou’s uninjured left hand and angrily strode towards the exit.
"You’re not allowed in. Please leave quickly!" Two bodyguards stood left and right at the entrance, firmly blocking Minjun and Rou.
"Get out of the way!"
"..." The bodyguards stood like two mountains at the door, unmoving.
"Mi Wan, get out here!" Being so blatantly ignored, Minjun felt a strong sense of humiliation that made her disregard her elegant image, shouting at the top of her lungs.
"Please leave immediately!" The bodyguards couldn’t bear Minjun’s shout. Their ears buzzed, and their expressions finally showed some change.
"Auntie, let’s go!" Rou completely lost her patience, her hand hurting badly, not wanting to stay here another moment.
"Rou, is your hand okay?" Minjun asked with concern.
"It hurts!"
"I’ll take you to the hospital now." Minjun didn’t quite like Rou, but to ensure He Gang wouldn’t secretly harm her son, she had to align with Rou. If anything happened, she could use Rou.
So, to Minjun, Rou was just a pawn. But Rou didn’t know this, she always thought Minjun genuinely liked her, hoped she would be her daughter-in-law, and would work hard to match her with Ji Dongquan. So, Rou always held a hope to become Ji’s wife.
After Minjun and Rou left, the heavy atmosphere at home dissipated significantly. After applying an ice pack to Xuanxuan, Mi Wan continued preparing lunch, planning to make two dishes Xuanxuan liked to reward her.
"Kabi, those two annoying women have finally been driven away." Xuanxuan held Kabi’s front paws excitedly, whispering.
"Chirp chirp," Kabi wasn’t very interested, his head rested on the ground, lazily glancing at Xuanxuan with a sleepy look.
"Oh well, I’m not telling you. I’ll let Cancan know the good news, she’ll be as happy as I am." Xuanxuan gently put down Kabi’s paws and, with a bright smile, happily went upstairs to call Cancan.
Thud thud—
Xuanxuan’s steps were light and cheerful, bouncing all the way. Upon reaching the top step, she rushed forward. Too excited and fast, she didn’t notice Zerui in front of her at the corner. When she realized, it was too late to stop, so she crashed straight into Zerui’s arms, falling into an unexpected embrace.
