CHAPTER 297: CHAPTER 297 ARGUMENT (2)
"No, not at all, Xuanxuan loves it when Mom sends her to school," Xuanxuan explained hastily, a flash of panic crossing her face upon hearing the question.
"Then..." Mi Wan wanted to ask more, but after thinking about it, she changed her mind suddenly. She paused and then smiled, "That’s good, I thought Xuanxuan was annoyed with me."
"How could that be? Xuanxuan loves Mom the most." Xuanxuan looked up at Mi Wan, smiling sweetly.
Hearing this, Mi Wan couldn’t help but smile. She then bent down and kissed Xuanxuan’s forehead, saying gently as she hugged her, "Mom loves Xuanxuan the most too."
"Haha, if Mom loves Xuanxuan the most, then Mr. Ji can only be second!" Xuanxuan burst into laughter, her laughter as clear and pleasant as a silver bell.
"Yes, Xuanxuan is always number one in Mom’s heart."
"Hehe, Xuanxuan is so happy, Mom is so good!" Xuanxuan wrapped her arms tightly around Mi Wan’s neck, her pretty face full of joy and innocence, looking even happier than when she received her favorite Barbie doll.
Walking across the empty playground, Mi Wan carried Xuanxuan to the front of the teaching building. The classroom was always bustling at this time, with children either chattering in groups or laughing and playing, chasing each other around amid excited shouts, as lively as a pot of boiling porridge.
"Song Jinxuan is here!"
Someone shouted from the classroom, and suddenly the bustling atmosphere came to an abrupt halt. The children looked towards the classroom door, as if ready to watch the excitement. At the same time, the teacher standing at the door also noticed Mi Wan’s arrival and immediately greeted her with a smile.
"Good morning, Xuanxuan. Are you feeling better?" the teacher asked, smiling at Xuanxuan.
"Good morning, teacher. I’m fine now, thank you for your concern." After speaking, Xuanxuan had Mi Wan put her down.
Seeing this, the teacher smiled and then turned to Mi Wan, "Miss Mi, why did you bring Xuanxuan in today? Is there something you need to discuss?"
"No," Mi Wan shook her head with a smile, then looked down at Xuanxuan and said, "Xuanxuan, you go into the classroom first, I have something to discuss with the teacher."
Hearing this, Xuanxuan’s expression froze for a moment, but she quickly forced a smile and agreed cheerfully, "Okay, goodbye Mom."
"Goodbye." Mi Wan waved with a smile, her gentle gaze following Xuanxuan’s back until she walked into the classroom before shifting her attention.
"Miss Mi, is there something you need to know?" The teacher asked with a smile when she saw Mi Wan’s gaze on her.
"Yes." Mi Wan nodded slightly, then turned and walked forward while asking, "How has Xuanxuan been at school these past few days? Has she had any conflicts with classmates or any unpleasant incidents?"
"No," the teacher’s eyes flickered slightly, her emotions wavering briefly before she quickly regained her composure and answered calmly.
"No? But I sense something off with Xuanxuan these past few days; today she even didn’t want to come to school." Mi Wan was good at reading people’s expressions. Noticing that the teacher seemed to be hiding something, she continued calmly without pressing too hard.
Didn’t want to come to school?
Hearing this, the teacher’s steps paused. She thought, if Xuanxuan stopped coming to school, would Chairman Ji continue to support their kindergarten? If they lost this important sponsor, wouldn’t this year’s hefty bonus be gone?
Thinking this, the teacher’s heart raced, and her expression became uneasy, "Uh... actually..."
"Teacher, did you recall something?" Mi Wan kindly gave the teacher a way out.
"Yes," the teacher followed the lead, glancing nervously at Mi Wan, "it’s... it’s just..."
"What exactly happened? You can tell me directly, teacher."
"Uh..." the teacher hesitated for a moment, took a deep breath, and said, "It’s about your personal matters. A kid in the class said some unpleasant things, which made Xuanxuan very angry, causing some friction."
"How could that happen? Why didn’t you tell me immediately?" Mi Wan’s expression changed, her face stern as she questioned seriously.
"It’s... it’s..." Usually gentle and kind, Mi Wan’s stern demeanor now gave the teacher a strong sense of pressure, making her even more nervous and stutter, "it’s... Xuanxuan asked me not to tell you. She didn’t want you to be unhappy."
"Even so, you shouldn’t have kept it from me." As a mother, Mi Wan was eager to know all her child’s joys and sorrows and share or solve them in time. Therefore, she could not agree with the teacher’s deliberate concealment.
"I’m sorry. I promise I won’t make the same mistake again." The teacher had put in more effort than taking the college entrance exam to teach at this prestigious private kindergarten, where salaries and benefits were excellent. If she lost her job over this, she’d be unemployed. So, the teacher had no choice but to admit her mistake nervously and humbly.
"Please keep an eye on Xuanxuan for me. If anything like this happens again, please call me." Mi Wan didn’t like to be aggressive. Seeing the teacher apologize sincerely, she calmed down and, after giving this instruction, left.
In the classroom, Xuanxuan chatted absentmindedly with her good friends, her eyes frequently glancing out the window, closely watching Mi Wan until she left. Only then did Xuanxuan hide her forced smile and sit back in her seat, staring blankly at the blackboard.
"Song Jinxuan, your mom is a bad woman. My mom said your mom left your dad for a rich man. I’m telling the truth, why did you have the teacher scold me?" A chubby boy stormed over to Xuanxuan’s desk, clenching his fists and glaring at her with a stormy expression that seemed to want to devour her.
"Liu Junkai, you’re not allowed to speak ill of my mom!" Xuanxuan stood up abruptly, her eyes filled with even more anger and a barefaced look of disgust on her pretty face.
"I will say it, I will! Your mom did shameless things, why be afraid of others talking?" Liu Junkai taunted, his fair and chubby face full of disdain.
"Your mom is shameless! Talking nonsense without knowing the situation, so uneducated!" Xuanxuan retorted, hands on her hips, assertive and strong-willed.
