Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk
Chapter 712: She Appears at The Sinclair Group
CHAPTER 712: CHAPTER 712: SHE APPEARS AT THE SINCLAIR GROUP
The Sinclair Group.
The man’s half profile was obscured behind the large monitor, and his slightly tense jaw moved as he said, "While I was away from the company, Jenson Sinclair has been up to quite a bit of mischief."
"The people he took from the Sinclair Group were those who followed the old chairman."
The "old chairman" Louis Hayes referred to was the grandfather of the Sinclair Family, who had retired behind the scenes.
"I understand what you mean, but there’s no need to worry about it for now. Once they’ve left, they’re gone."
As Jasper Sinclair spoke, he busily scribbled and doodled on some paper, the pen scratching audibly against the surface.
Louis continued his report, "We can close the net on the Aegis Assurance investment."
"No rush, let’s wait a bit longer."
Upon hearing this, Louis paused, calculating the potential losses in his mind, and then advised aloud, "The stock price is unpredictable; dragging it out one more day could mean tens of millions in losses."
"Tens of millions to destroy the commercial empire Jenson Sinclair built from scratch is not a bad deal."
After saying this, Jasper Sinclair thought something was amiss and corrected himself, "Can’t really call it a commercial empire; it’s like playing house. Let him enjoy it a few more days."
Louis muttered inwardly: Do you really have to be so mean?
Jasper Sinclair waved his fingers, "Go ahead and get busy. Keep an eye on Aegis Assurance."
Louis then left.
The person leaning on the executive chair picked up his phone from the table and found an unread message from Nora Northwood, asking if he had eaten lunch.
Just as Jasper Sinclair was about to reply, his secretary Lila came in with a pile of documents.
"Director Sinclair, the project plans for the past fifteen years in Melbourne."
"Have someone come in, and filter out all those related to Hannah Sinclair."
Once busy, he forgot about the text he had typed but not yet sent in the chat box.
It was nearing noon.
Nora Northwood had the driver take the car to the Sinclair Group, carrying two insulated lunch containers in her hand.
Uncle Kevin said, "Sir’s health has just recovered; you must pay attention to his diet."
The elderly always feel that food from outside restaurants isn’t clean, only finding peace of mind with homemade dishes.
Nora admired Uncle Kevin’s meticulous care, admitting to herself that it was beyond her capability.
So, she could only act as a courier, seizing the chance to have lunch with Jasper Sinclair.
Lost in thought, the car had already parked steadily in the lot.
Just emerging from the back seat, she glimpsed a familiar figure, her expression turning cold immediately.
Why was Peach Bell coming out of the Sinclair Group?
Francis hadn’t noticed Peach Bell’s presence and asked if she needed help.
Nora looked away, "I’ll go up on my own. You can wander around. I’ll leave with Mr. Sinclair tonight."
After she entered the Sinclair Group, only then did Francis slowly drive away.
In the elevator, Nora continued to recall the person she just saw, certain that it was Peach Bell’s silhouette.
But hadn’t Jasper broken contact with her?
With questions in her mind, Nora walked forward distractedly, not even noticing when Lila greeted her.
As she got closer to Jasper Sinclair’s office, she collided with a solid wall of flesh.
"Ow—"
"Nora, why weren’t you watching where you were going?"
It wasn’t until she heard Jasper Sinclair’s voice over her head that Nora snapped out of her reverie.
With a lunch container in each hand, she didn’t even have a free finger to rub her forehead.
Just as she was thinking, a warm hand covered her forehead. Jasper Sinclair gently rubbed it, "Did it hurt?"
Nora looked up, meeting his softly smiling eyes, pouting, she said, "You bumped into me, and you’re still laughing. What kind of behavior is that?"
