Flirted Wrong, Married Right
Chapter 49: Are You Saying I’m Not Pretty Enough?
CHAPTER 49: CHAPTER 49: ARE YOU SAYING I’M NOT PRETTY ENOUGH?
Cindy Owens indeed has a scar on her wrist, though it’s not deep, you can still see the flesh.
"Are you satisfied?" Cindy Owens hugged her legs, looking severely injured.
The guy hurriedly said, "You see, right? Cindy is really hurt, she’s not trying to extort you intentionally. Just stop forcing her."
The guy looked at James Grant’s face, but the latter’s expression was dark and unreadable.
James Grant handed the decision to Evelyn Clayton.
"What do you want to do?"
Evelyn Clayton pondered for a moment, "The wound doesn’t look smooth, and you making a fuss over wrist-cutting is just you trying to exploit the situation. Moreover, I have collected evidence regarding your fan splattering ink in the mall last time, proving that you instructed her."
"I didn’t!" Cindy Owens instinctively retorted, "I really didn’t, how could I possibly contact a little fan..."
"Are you sure you want to be stubborn?" Evelyn Clayton chuckled lightly, "I have a recording in my hands."
Cindy Owens turned pale, "Where did you get the recording..."
One second later, Cindy Owens clutched the sheet tightly.
She communicated with the fan via mobile, where could any recording come from!
She fell into the trap.
Evelyn Clayton curled one side of her lips, "Admitting without coercion."
"You tricked me into talking."
"But you need to have actually done it first." Evelyn Clayton raised an eyebrow at James Grant, "Know what’s going on now?"
James Grant never doubted this matter, all the necessary evidence was in his hands.
Just waiting for Evelyn Clayton to make a statement, he could send Cindy Owens to jail.
After confirming what she wanted to confirm, Evelyn Clayton yawned, "Let’s go, we’re heading back. We’ll talk about it tomorrow."
Wait till tomorrow?!
Cindy Owens immediately threw off the quilt and jumped out of bed, alongside the guy, grabbing Evelyn Clayton’s hand from both sides, "Miss Clayton, I was wrong. Please don’t expose this."
James Grant pulled Evelyn Clayton’s hand away from theirs, signaling them to step back.
They didn’t dare not comply, already afraid of the evidence in Evelyn Clayton’s hand, now even more intimidated by James Grant’s momentum.
"Miss Clayton, I’m really begging you. It’s so hard for me to reach this position today, if you expose this, my career is over." Cindy Owens cried in fear, almost wanting to kneel to Evelyn Clayton.
The guy still wanted to play the pity card, but Evelyn Clayton stopped him with a gesture.
"Your misery doesn’t concern me, besides, it’s all your own doing."
"...Miss Clayton, are you really so heartless."
Evelyn Clayton turned to James Grant, pretending innocence, and asked, "Am I heartless?"
"Not at all." James Grant received her signal and immediately played the loving husband role naturally, "What do you want to do?"
"I want you to hold a press conference right now and make this matter public. However many media outlets are blocking us tonight for interviews, get all of them to report this matter."
Evelyn Clayton’s casual words almost scared Cindy Owens out of her wits.
She was determined to destroy her career.
The coldness in James Grant’s eyes was mixed with a trace of fondness, he nodded, "Alright. I’ll do everything you say."
Even before leaving the room, he instructed Quentin Hale to make arrangements, only allowing significant media coverage.
Upon receiving the order, Quentin Hale immediately came to take them to the press conference venue, bringing along two makeup artists and stylists.
Evelyn Clayton smiled when she saw people carrying makeup boxes.
"What’s this for."
"It’s Director Grant’s order."
Evelyn Clayton looked at James Grant, "Do you think I’m not pretty enough?"
