CHAPTER 566: CHAPTER 566: HAVE YOU MADE UP YOUR MIND?

Evelyn Clayton’s expression showed a hint of severity.

"What photo?"

Unexpectedly, Lily Warren suddenly turned around and looked toward the door.

Evelyn Clayton’s gaze followed, just in time to catch a glimpse of Elias Sherman’s figure flashing past the entrance.

Moments later, Lily Warren suddenly said, "Come alone, then I’ll tell you."

Her phrasing was odd, but Evelyn Clayton understood Lily Warren’s meaning.

Perhaps she had some concerns, or something she didn’t want Elias Sherman and the others to know.

Could it be that Lily Warren didn’t trust the police?

At this moment, a chilling thought appeared in Evelyn Clayton’s mind.

Could Lily Warren be faking her current condition?

But this thought only passed fleetingly before she quickly dismissed it.

Because Lily Warren’s mental instability was personally confirmed by the doctor.

Earlier, Evelyn even saw Lily Warren’s attending physician administer some kind of sedative medication.

It probably wasn’t false.

Leaving the hospital room, Evelyn Clayton wore a thoughtful expression.

Elias Sherman was waiting beside her, and seeing her come out, he couldn’t wait to step forward and ask, "How about it, did she say anything to you?"

After hesitating for just a moment, Evelyn Clayton shook her head.

By the time she realized it, it was already a bit too late.

Evelyn Clayton’s heart sank slightly.

Her intention wasn’t to hide anything from Elias Sherman, but to quickly gain Lily Warren’s trust, so she could learn more information from her.

So Evelyn Clayton said somewhat vaguely, "I feel she’s not that hard to approach. I’ll try coming alone next time, maybe it will work out after a few more interactions."

Elias Sherman didn’t suspect anything, just nodded and then politely saw Evelyn Clayton out.

Leaving the hospital, Evelyn Clayton didn’t return to the company; instead, she asked Rhys Jacobs where Soren Foster was placed.

Rhys Jacobs sent her the address.

After reviewing it, Evelyn Clayton sat in the car to calm her mind.

She drove back home and finished the breakfast she missed in the morning, just to fill her stomach.

As evening fell, Evelyn Clayton drove alone to the hotel where Soren Foster was staying.

Rhys Jacobs was very cautious; he had arranged for Soren Foster to stay at a small hotel, but the surroundings weren’t bad, which somewhat preserved Soren Foster’s dignity.

Moreover, Rhys Jacobs seemed to know the hotel owner, and as soon as Evelyn Clayton arrived at the hotel entrance, someone came to greet her.

"Our boss said, rest assured in handling your affairs. If there’s any movement, we’ll inform you promptly," the young receptionist whispered to Evelyn Clayton.

Evelyn Clayton nodded, thanked her, and went up to the third floor where Soren Foster was located.

There weren’t many rooms on the third floor, and although the corridor was long, it seemed there were only four or five rooms.

Evelyn Clayton arrived at the door of room 305 where Soren Foster was staying and knocked.

After a while, Soren Foster’s slightly hoarse voice came from inside, "Who is it?"

Evelyn Clayton responded sternly, "It’s me."

After some time, Soren Foster opened the door.

He was tall, looking down at people with drooping eyes, his gaze appearing extremely dejected.

Seeing Evelyn Clayton, Soren Foster stepped aside to invite her in, sneering softly.

"Director Clayton, could you give me a heads-up next time? You make it seem like I’m having an affair with you."

Evelyn Clayton walked to the round table in the room and sat down, looking back at him with an indifferent expression.

She spoke in a detached tone, "You’re overthinking. I never do such things. Even if I wanted to do something, I’d have someone come to me."

Once Soren Foster sat down, Evelyn Clayton was unhurried.

"So, have you thought it over?"
