Chapter 611: You Are Not Allowed to Leave
CHAPTER 611: CHAPTER 611: YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE
One of the bodyguards bent down to untie Gene Young’s ropes, then used one hand to lift him up.
Gene Young’s stance was unsteady. Yara Reagan was caught in a dilemma, wanting to go to Evelyn Clayton’s side but was blocked by the bodyguard.
She gritted her teeth and had to step forward to support Gene Young.
James Grant turned sideways at this moment, pulling Evelyn Clayton’s waist to his side, looking indifferently at Yara Reagan and Gene Young, "Get out."
Yara Reagan glared with bloodshot eyes, looking at Evelyn Clayton.
Gene Young’s face was pale, and his consciousness seemed a bit scattered, but he still tried to look at Evelyn Clayton, his lips moved, wanting to say something.
"Go." Evelyn Clayton’s voice was hoarse, suppressing the nausea that surged up her throat momentarily, she repeated again, "Hurry up and go."
Yara Reagan looked at Gene Young, who was almost fainting, and finally steeled herself to help Gene Young leave.
She walked to the door but stopped.
After a long pause, Yara Reagan turned back to look at James Grant, and said hoarsely, "James Grant, by doing this, you’ll only make Evelyn hate you."
Harrison Grant chuckled lightly at her words, then looked down at Evelyn Clayton, and said in a deep voice, "What about it, will you hate me?"
Evelyn Clayton looked down indifferently, saying nothing.
James Grant did not press, only gestured for the bodyguards to escort the two out.
"Well, you’ve done what you wanted to do." After a while, Evelyn Clayton turned her head to look at James Grant, "Do whatever you want with me."
James Grant gazed steadily at Evelyn Clayton, seeing her indifferent coldness, it felt like a knife was sawing back and forth in his heart.
His smile gradually disappeared, leaving only extraordinary anger, "Evelyn Clayton, do you always have just this one expression?"
When pretending to be with him, it was like this, and now it’s still the same.
James Grant didn’t understand what he did wrong that made Evelyn Clayton unwilling to even look at him directly now.
"It was you who promised me, that you would be with me properly, you were the one who broke your word first." James Grant held Evelyn Clayton’s face, forcing her to look at him.
He struggled to hold back the redness in his eyes, but being this close, Evelyn Clayton could still see it clearly.
After a long time, Evelyn Clayton sneered, "James Grant, can’t you handle losing?"
James Grant gritted his teeth, staring hard at Evelyn Clayton, "What did you say?"
"I said, can’t you handle losing?" Evelyn Clayton said word by word, "Between adults, where’s all this talk of eternal love? Or do you think that by breaking away from the Grant Family, you are different from your father?"
"Have you forgotten how your father deceived me, year after year, using me as a blood source for Summer Monroe?"
She let out a nearly taunting laugh, "I’ve been away for so long, you must have found out a lot of things, right? Like how my father’s death was abetted by Harrison Grant, like how Summer Monroe was the one who took my father’s heart."
"You know all this, but you want to pretend it never happened, you’re eager to find me, it’s because of these reasons, right?"
"You feel guilty, but you don’t want to admit it, you, your family, owe me!"
Unable to bear it any longer, James Grant roared, "Shut up!"
Evelyn Clayton tilted her face up and suddenly laughed.
"See, I hit the mark."
James Grant, as if going mad, crushed his lips against Evelyn Clayton’s.
A long, almost punishing kiss.
James Grant mercilessly invaded and conquered, as if wanting to leave an indelible mark on the lips in front of him.
This way she would shut up, and obediently stay by his side.
After an unknown amount of time, the taste of blood spread between their lips and teeth.
James Grant finally let Evelyn Clayton go.
He looked at the person in front of him with a sinister gaze, and after a long time, said coldly, "From now on, I won’t let you leave my side ever again."
