Flirted Wrong, Married Right
Chapter 665: Mental Preparation
CHAPTER 665: CHAPTER 665: MENTAL PREPARATION
On the other side, Yara Reagan sat silently drinking her coffee at the dining table.
Since Evelyn Clayton left Riversend, she simply moved into this house, abandoning her previous home.
She never used the master bedroom and always slept in the guest room. Occasionally, when Iris Lockwood visited, they would squeeze into one bed.
With her current savings, Yara could afford any house, but she stubbornly stayed here as if nothing had changed.
The phone rang, and Yara glanced at it; it was a blocked message notification.
With just one look, Yara understood, a cold smile flashing in her eyes.
It must be a message from James Grant.
Hesitating for a moment, Yara opened the blocked messages folder.
The sneer on Yara’s lips grew deeper.
She was curious to see what amazing thing James Grant had sent...
However, as soon as she opened the message, Yara was completely frozen.
The image that James Grant sent was shockingly a screenshot of a passport.
And the photo on the passport—
Yara was so enraged that she laughed.
Suppressing the urge to curse at James Grant over the phone, she turned around and called Iris Lockwood.
"Come over here, there’s something I need to tell you." Yara’s tone was cold, and she hung up after speaking.
Then Yara called Rhys Jacobs, telling him she would come by later, and waited at home for Iris to arrive.
Iris arrived around noon, complaining as soon as she walked through the door.
"Big sister, can you tell me in advance next time if something comes up, or wait until after work? You had to pick this time? Little Nan was going to an audition, do you know how far it is from there to your place?"
While grumbling, she carried in bags and ran into the kitchen to start stocking Yara’s fridge with food.
Yara sat silently at the counter, as Iris muttered to herself, "You know, you never cook at home? Luckily, I bring you ready-to-eat meals, or you’d starve to death, right? You weren’t like this before. Why are you so lazy now?"
Listening to Iris’s chatter, Yara inexplicably felt a bit calmer.
When Iris finished up in the kitchen and came out, Yara spoke softly, "Why are you filling the fridge so much today? We’re leaving in a couple of days."
"Franklin Ford and Violet Ford are coming over for dinner tonight." Iris rolled her eyes, "Did you forget again? We agreed on this a while ago before the last round of the IPO, they would come over to celebrate."
Yara had been extremely busy lately and had indeed forgotten about it.
After a few moments of silence, she gestured for Iris to come over and sit across from her.
Iris looked at her with a peculiar expression, "What’s up? What’s the matter?"
Yara didn’t speak, just pushed her phone in front of Iris, letting her see for herself.
The moment Iris saw the screen, she instinctively cursed.
After a long while, Iris looked sharply at Yara, "What are we going to do? How did the bastard find out so suddenly?"
"Most of Vesseria’s airports to France have been shut down these past days." Yara’s eyes narrowed slightly, "Only a few private airports are operating, which must be why this happened."
Iris nodded, "I know, there was an incident there... But why would she go there at such a time?"
"There was a design exhibition over there," Yara sighed, feeling her headache growing, "With everything in such chaos, I can’t believe the exhibition is still open. It’s unbelievable."
Iris remained on edge.
"What do we do now? James Grant’s found out, he will certainly track her down..."
Yara’s gaze flickered.
"She’s right, James Grant will find out eventually... Let Evelyn know, so she’s mentally prepared."
