Flirted Wrong, Married Right
Chapter 667: He Already Knows
CHAPTER 667: CHAPTER 667: HE ALREADY KNOWS
The little bundle on the bed stirred, taking a while to fully wake up.
Upon hearing Pauline call for Mommy, the little bundle immediately turned over and quickly saw the laptop on the bedside table, hurrying over.
"Mommy!"
The little bundle’s cute, fair face instantly appeared, planting a solid kiss on the screen.
"Mommy, I miss you so much!"
Looking at her daughter’s pretty and adorable face on the screen, Evelyn Clayton’s eyes were full of doting affection.
"Be good, Sharon, Mommy will be back soon. Then your godmother and aunt will also visit you. You must listen to Grandma at home, okay?"
Pauline Warren was combing her granddaughter’s hair, transforming her messy bedhead into two lovely pigtails, then, unable to resist Sharon’s cuteness, she hugged her and gave her a kiss.
Sharon let Pauline hold her, while she cradled the laptop in her arms, asking playfully, "Will godmother and aunt bring me something yummy?"
"Of course." Evelyn Clayton smiled with crescent-shaped eyes, "Or you could call them, you know. If they don’t bring you something tasty, you don’t let them kiss you."
Sharon laughed along, her big, gleaming eyes like black grapes, full of mischief and liveliness.
"Alright, Sharon, you need to get dressed, wash your face, and eat breakfast." Pauline Warren rubbed the little one’s cheek, "After breakfast and your morning lesson, you can call Mommy again, okay?"
"Okay!" Sharon nodded obediently, then told the computer screen seriously, "Mommy, I’m going to play piano with Grandma later, so you be good, and Sharon will play piano for you!"
Evelyn Clayton chuckled with delight, "Alright, got it, go ahead!"
Sharon put down the laptop, and as she got off the bed, she didn’t forget to hug Pauline and give her another kiss, saying, "Thank you, Grandma, for braiding my hair."
Watching the little bundle run off quickly, Pauline Warren’s eyes were overflowing with affection.
Evelyn Clayton also felt quite gratified.
Five years ago, deciding to give birth to Sharon was truly the best decision she ever made.
Sharon was now five, but she matured early, naturally sweet-talking and endearing to her family. After some reasons at the time of her birth, Evelyn Clayton decided to have her bear the Sinclair family name, which made the Sinclair family adore Sharon even more, treating her like a little princess.
"Oh Yara, you must be careful over there. If anything feels off, immediately call Shane to fetch you. Don’t put yourself in danger for a design exhibition."
As the video call was about to end, Pauline Warren earnestly reminded Evelyn Clayton.
Evelyn Clayton nodded with a smile, "Don’t worry, I’ll be careful. I’ll be back in three to five days, so don’t worry!"
After hanging up the video call, Evelyn Clayton felt somewhat reassured.
Just as she was about to go back to sleep, her phone rang.
Evelyn Clayton glanced at it; it was her domestic number.
The one only Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood knew.
Evelyn Clayton furrowed her brows slightly, feeling a hint of suspicion.
For so many years, to avoid being discovered by people in Riversend, she only contacted Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood when necessary and met them annually at specific times either at the Sinclair family or her place in Vesseria.
Even phone contact was rare on this number, favoring calls to the overseas one instead.
Pausing for a moment, Evelyn Clayton picked up the call.
She didn’t rush to speak and only relaxed upon hearing Yara Reagan’s voice on the other end.
"Evelyn, have you arrived in Paris?" Yara Reagan’s voice was fairly light-hearted, "It’s not too chaotic there, is it?"
"No worries, it’s not as exaggerated." Evelyn Clayton laughed, joking lightly, "Maybe it’s because where I’m staying is pretty nice."
However, Yara Reagan didn’t laugh along as usual.
Her tone was somewhat heavy.
"This morning, James Grant sent me a screenshot of your passport... He has found out."
