CHAPTER 96: CHAPTER 96: A COLORFUL LOVE LIFE

Once they were far away, James Grant and Evelyn Clayton stepped out from behind the stall.

"Almost got seen by him..."

Evelyn Clayton let out a sigh of relief, "Let’s not spread what happened just now. I want to reveal it at the right time."

If it weren’t for the fact that the other main character was Sheldon Zane, someone she had a good relationship with, Evelyn would have already come up with the most explosive way to make it public.

But she didn’t want to drag others into her grudges, so she needed to think it over.

James Grant, however, smiled faintly, "Do you think Matthew Sullivan doesn’t know about this?"

"He knows?" Evelyn Clayton frowned slightly.

But why would Matthew Sullivan allow his woman to be involved with another man?

Unless he has other plans.

As they continued strolling, she was eating when she suddenly got a call from Yara Reagan.

"Evelyn, I heard something happened to you. Are you okay?"

"I’m fine." She said with her mouth full of dumplings, while James Grant was carrying the popcorn she asked him to buy.

"That’s good." Yara Reagan sighed in relief, "It’s so noisy over there. Are you outside?"

"Yeah. On the food street, there’s so much good food here. I’ll bring you next time."

Yara Reagan was intrigued, "Aren’t you the one who hates eating in crowded places without fixed seats the most?"

"It’s okay to come by once in a while. By the way, do you know Sheldon Zane?"

Yara Reagan pondered for two seconds, "I think I’ve heard of him. Isn’t he from the university next to ours? You said you went to the same high school?"

"That’s right. I just saw him with Iris Lockwood. I’d like you to check it out."

Yara Reagan agreed without hesitation.

She knew a lot of people, so checking on someone shouldn’t be a problem.

The sky was darkening, and she thought it was time to head back.

But James Grant took her to a nearby hot springs villa.

"I’ve relaxed enough." Evelyn Clayton frowned.

James Grant raised an eyebrow, "Consider it as employee benefits. I still need you to help me with the Starlight Project, and you can’t be too stressed, otherwise, how can I exploit you?"

"...Thanks, you’re really an honest man."

Evelyn Clayton felt much better.

Since James Grant had already figured out how to exploit her, why shouldn’t she enjoy it a little more?

James Grant had already booked the room, and he handed one of the room keys to Evelyn Clayton.

"I booked too late today, all the rooms with private hot tubs are taken, so we’ll have to make do."

Evelyn Clayton didn’t care about that, after all, it was James Grant who was paying.

She quickly changed into a bathrobe, and they were about to head out when they ran into two familiar figures at the door.

"Iris, I heard the hot springs here are very nice, soak a bit longer later..."

"How good can it be? For hot springs, you have to go to Japan. I agreed to come today just to give you face."

Iris Lockwood finished mocking Sheldon Zane, then spotted Evelyn Clayton and James Grant standing not far away.

She immediately pushed Sheldon Zane away, looking flustered.

"You guys... what a coincidence, haha."

"Not a coincidence." Evelyn Clayton’s gaze deliberately swept over them, "Are you here for inspiration too?"

"Ye-yeah!" Iris Lockwood forced a laugh, "I’m here with a friend for inspiration, we’re staying in two rooms, just friends."

Iris Lockwood immediately signaled Sheldon Zane to help cover her lie.

Sheldon Zane, although feeling down, had to comply and awkwardly greeted Evelyn Clayton.

"Evelyn, long time no see. You never come to the class reunions after graduating high school."

"No need to go. There’s no one I want to see." Evelyn Clayton gave a polite but distant smile, "Looks like you’re doing well, with a rich emotional life now."

Sheldon Zane was momentarily speechless, his face turning from pale to red.
