Samuel Rhodes sighed helplessly and hurriedly placated, "Cynthia, how could I possibly have any connection with her? Right now, you’re the only one in my heart. I don’t even care for someone like her; she can’t compare to you at all!"

To please Cynthia Lennox, the heiress, Samuel Rhodes immediately belittled Sharon Lancaster as worthless.
