CHAPTER 40: 40. ARE YOU NO LONGER YOURSELF? (NEW BOOK, PLEASE COLLECT AND FOLLOW)
"Bang!"
The door of the villa was slammed shut by Xia Na, her lower face covered with a black mask, a circle of pink surrounding her pretty eyes.
It’s hard to tell if it was out of anger or something else.
After shutting the door, Xia Na’s mind seemed to still be in a daze from the impact, not quite recovered.
Recalling that scene kept playing in her mind.
"That damned guy... that damned guy, how dare he eat that thing with my sister... I won’t let him off, I won’t let him off..."
Xia Na kept mumbling to herself.
Making the two large dogs standing nearby exchange puzzled looks.
What happened?
...
Two hours later, An Nishang was finally full and satisfied.
Her snow-white body outlined in a blooming Other Shore Flower, she lay lazily on the sofa, her red pupils exuding laziness, with no hint of emotional imbalance or violence.
Chen Che’s body was like a special medicine for An Nishang.
An Nishang lay on Chen Che’s lap, Chen Che massaged her head, perplexed at how the original master managed to make An Nishang want to kill him.
Doesn’t he need to transform into a Lao Ai to make An Nishang unable to leave?
The mixed-race looking face of An Nishang still had a flush of color, she slowly got up, climbing off Chen Che’s lap, with long hair cascading down her snow-white back, covering the blooming Other Shore Flower.
She picked up the water cup on the table, took a sip of water, rinsed her mouth, and softly said, "I’m hungry."
This time she was honestly hungry.
Chen Che immediately got up, changed into a set of clothes, went upstairs, and found a coat in their room to drape over An Nishang’s body, covering the stark whiteness, and softly said, "There are dumplings."
"Dumplings?"
After the apocalypse, all cultures basically merged.
Dumplings, with their unique Eastern cultural heritage, were rare on the Wasteland.
Moreover, dumplings were very troublesome to make.
On the Wasteland, most people didn’t have the time to enjoy such things.
They scrambled for survival.
Many people have never eaten dumplings in their lifetime, or even heard of them.
Including An Nishang.
Chen Che tied the robe strap on An Nishang’s shoulder, looking at her vivid red lips, unable to resist leaning down to take a bite. Faced with Chen Che’s bold intimacy, An Nishang was momentarily stunned but did not refuse.
"I’ll go cook."
With that, he got up and left.
Watching Chen Che’s back, An Nishang’s eyes took on a more scrutinizing look.
After dying once, Chen Che had indeed changed.
His courage had grown.
Whether it was staying calm during a confrontation, able to find a flaw.
Or in his interactions with her, Chen Che was completely different from before.
This man no longer needed her permission just to wrap her waist, just to kiss her lips.
He even dared, without her permission, to pose her in various positions.
Even after a conclusion, he dared to kiss her lips like just now.
The past Chen Che would never dare to do so.
In the past, when dealing with her, Chen Che always maintained a deliberate sense of propriety, due to the soul’s fear of her.
Just like when two people from different classes stand together, there is always an indefinable sense of disparity in social status.
But Chen Che now was different.
That feeling was gone.
An Nishang could sense that Chen Che still held some reverence towards her, but this reverence was no longer a class-based awe.
More like between... employee and boss, superior and subordinate, teacher and student.
But when he starts to become pushy, achieving outcomes on her body, An Nishang could feel this reverence fade infinitely, replaced more by physical desire between man and woman.
Particularly pure.
This guy just wants to give generously to her, to nurture her.
Completely different from the past Chen Che, the past Chen Che seemed to be performing tasks; in what should have been a completely mutual indulgence and enjoyment, the past Chen Che was always restrained.
He seemed afraid to cross that line.
Clearly, An Nishang welcomed him with open arms, wanting both her body and soul to be captivated fully, not just to relieve mere physical desire, but to let her soul be satisfied as well.
Only then could she last longer.
Mere physical satisfaction could not achieve what An Nishang wanted, but the previous Chen Che could only fulfill her physical needs.
An Nishang knew the reason why, stemming from Chen Che being born of a different class, the souls of the two destined never to resonate fully.
It all came down to a profoundly mystical question of soul strength.
An Nishang could only tell herself, since spiritual satisfaction was not possible, she’d have to overfill physically to compensate the spirit.
After all, she favored Chen Che, just for this physical purpose.
This guy had innate strength, it didn’t hinder it being so.
That’s also why, despite Chen Che being the only man with such a unique ability that allowed him to be accepted by her, he could still harden his heart to kill Chen Che.
Because, so long as it doesn’t involve spiritual submission, a body can endure all kinds of trials.
Finally, when discovering Chen Che’s betrayal truly exceeded An Nishang’s limits, An Nishang decided to personally kill Chen Che.
Truth be told, when waking up that morning and discovering Chen Che was not dead, An Nishang indeed felt a certain indescribable emotion.
Relieved? Joyful? The joy of regaining what was lost!
Yet this emotion only lasted for a moment, continuing to be overwhelmed by her rationality.
What Chen Che did had utterly surpassed An Nishang’s endurance; when his hands were around orange Chen Che’s neck, wanting once more to strangle this man for whom she had once moved her affections.
He seemed like a different person.
He saved himself.
And gave An Nishang a reason not to kill him.
Simultaneously, it also sparked a bit of curiosity in An Nishang, who was quite familiar with Chen Che.
She gave Chen Che an opportunity, firstly because she truly didn’t want to kill him, secondly to see how far Chen Che could go.
Chen Che truly changed.
The inherently reserved soul had become wild and flamboyant.
Not the kind of ostentatious arrogance facing others under the guise of her favor.
But a change deep in the soul, seemingly unafraid of everyone under this apocalypse, looking down upon them.
An Nishang could perceive that sometimes Chen Che appeared subservient and pleasing before her.
In reality, he would secretly and quietly seek revenge.
For instance, making every effort to have her kneeling and crouching on the ground.
Making her unable to stand on her feet.
Pushing her knees to rest on her shoulders.
Anyway, all his servility in front of her, he would find ways to make up for.
This was something Chen Che, who had died once, never dared do before.
But honestly, An Nishang liked this version of Chen Che, because not only did it satisfy physically, it created a faint resonance between their souls, so she willingly cooperated with Chen Che’s quirky amusements.
An Nishang stretched her fingers over her neck and collarbone.
The delicate skin of her neck and collarbone bore prominent red marks.
Seemingly deliberate battle scars left by a man.
Looking down, there was even a bite mark left on her thigh.
An intoxicating haze flashed across An Nishang’s red pupils.
Just now, her soul had also been satisfied.
That guy, when galloping, was exuberant, devoid of prior restraint.
Seemed like an entirely different person.
She liked this version of Chen Che, where body and soul could be satisfied simultaneously.
If the former Chen Che could have done this, An Nishang honestly couldn’t determine if she would have been willing to kill Chen Che.
But she would have tied Chen Che up, raising him daily like a songbird for endless play, certainly.
A rich aroma of dumplings permeated the whole villa, bringing a touch of surprise to An Nishang.
She actually felt a desire to eat.
Since when did Chen Che have such good culinary skills? It was never revealed before.
Previously, the only thing that could whet her appetite was Chen Che’s robust physique.
She was not picky about food, as long as it was edible.
But now she felt a bit famished.
An Nishang understood Chen Che better than he knew himself.
Staring at Chen Che, An Nishang could also feel a sense of unfamiliarity.
Those beautiful eyes, tinged with scarlet pupils, fleetingly flashed a sickly expression one would expect from a patient.
"Are you still you? Or... have you become someone else?"
