Chapter 250 - 263: A Handsome Man is Indeed a Sin
CHAPTER 250: CHAPTER 263: A HANDSOME MAN IS INDEED A SIN
After An Ran finished her bath and came out, she saw Mu Xingfeng sitting on the edge of the bed, dressed in casual clothes with slightly wet hair, clearly having just taken a bath too.
While wiping her hair, An Ran sized him up and asked, "Instructor Mu, where did you take a bath?"
"The guest room." Mu Xingfeng said, taking the dry towel from An Ran’s hand and started wiping her hair himself.
"There’s a guest room?" An Ran’s eyes lit up. Did that mean she wouldn’t have to share a room and bed with Mu Xingfeng?
Mu Xingfeng seemed to know what she was thinking. He pressed down on her head and said, "Don’t even think about it. Don’t forget about our current relationship." After seeing her eyes dim, he added, "Rest assured, I won’t do anything to you."
He would wait for her to fall in love with him and willingly open up to him.
After drying An Ran’s hair, Mu Xingfeng went downstairs to get a glass of milk. The little one was too skinny, and these past months she’d lost quite a bit of weight.
When he returned to the room with the milk, he saw the little girl already in bed, occupying a seemingly advantageous spot and wrapping herself in the blanket, exposing only her head and watching him cautiously.
Mu Xingfeng shook his head helplessly and walked over, "Drink the milk before sleeping."
An Ran took the milk and drank it in one gulp. The moment Mu Xingfeng got into bed, she quickly lay down again and hugged the blanket tightly.
"It’s very cold outside, and you’re really going to let me sleep like this?" Mu Xingfeng stared at the little woman and asked.
"Is there another blanket?" An Ran asked weakly, sharing a blanket with Instructor Mu made her feel really insecure.
"No." Mu Xingfeng answered decisively, then asked, "Don’t you trust my character?"
After thinking for a moment, An Ran finally loosened her grip on the blanket.
Mu Xingfeng directly pulled it over and covered himself, leaving An Ran no choice but to move further towards the edge of the bed, until she couldn’t move anymore.
Mu Xingfeng smiled secretly but didn’t bother with her and directly turned off the light.
As darkness enveloped them, listening to the steady breathing beside her, An Ran felt inexplicably secure, no longer fearful of the dark. Gradually, her tense heart relaxed.
Thinking back on the events of the past two days, An Ran felt as if she were dreaming. Yesterday she was still in deep trouble, but today, under Mu Xingfeng’s protection, she had lived her most carefree day in her eighteen years of life. Gradually, she fell into a sleepy haze.
Mu Xingfeng listened to the soft, even breaths coming from the little girl beside him, knowing that she had fallen asleep.
It seemed that her wariness of him was far less than he had imagined.
He turned on the light and saw the little girl’s serene sleeping face. Leaning over, he gently kissed her forehead, the corners of his lips lifting slightly, "Goodnight, wife."
The next morning, the Mu family sat at the dining table for breakfast. Grandma Mu heard a noise and looked over. At the sight of An Ran, her face lit up in a smile, "Ran, come have breakfast."
Seeing Grandma Mu’s smile, An Ran’s previous gloom instantly vanished. Mainly because Grandma Mu looked so much like her own grandmother. When she was little, every time her grandmother saw her, she would call her Ran.
"Good morning, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle, Aunt."
As An Ran descended the stairs, she greeted the Mu family. Old Mr. Mu and Mu Zhenzong nodded at her, and He Yushu beckoned with her hand, "Come have breakfast, did you sleep well last night?"
"I slept well," An Ran said, feeling the presence of the man two steps behind her, but she thought, This morning was a bit of a scare.
As she spoke, she reached the bottom of the stairs. Just as she was about to head towards the dining table, she suddenly felt a weight on her leg. Looking down, she saw a small dog that had run over from somewhere, wagging its tail and holding onto her leg.
