Forgotten Love: Mr. President, Mrs. Fordham Has Rejected You!
Chapter 148: She Jumped Into the Sea
CHAPTER 148: CHAPTER 148: SHE JUMPED INTO THE SEA
Andy Lockwood’s voice grew increasingly unrestrained, and he shouted again.
"Answer me, do you want your life, or do you want her? Trust President Fordham, he will definitely make the wise choice."
Aiden Fordham looked at the woman whose wrist was tightly gripped by Andy. She lightly shook her head at him, her eyes already glistening with tears.
The next second, Aiden Fordham said with unwavering certainty, "I want Stella Grant. Give her back to me."
Stella Grant was infuriated upon hearing this and shouted at him, "Aiden Fordham, are you crazy? What are you talking about!"
This exclamation only made Aiden Fordham’s heart clearer, as he repeated even more firmly:
"Andy, give Stella back to me. I only want her."
Stella Grant roared angrily, "Shut up!"
Andy watched the two interact as if no one else was present, and a surge of fury rose sharply from his heart, his face cold enough to chill.
"Aiden Fordham, are you certain that you only want her and not your own life?"
His voice carried a suppressed bitterness, as if he wanted to tear off Aiden Fordham’s mask of deep affection on the spot.
Aiden Fordham’s tone was calm yet penetrating, "Andy, you must be very disappointed. My life has never been in your hands."
Andy was completely enraged.
He let out a cold laugh, "It sounds so nice! I want to see how you, Aiden Fordham, with only ten days left to live, plan to love her!"
He finished speaking, raising the test tube in his hand with the intention of smashing it fiercely.
"No!"
Stella Grant screamed, clutching his large hand with all her strength, her eyes full of pleading.
"Don’t smash it, Andy, don’t smash it. I’ve never asked anything of you... Can you give it to me? Don’t let him die, I beg you!"
At this moment, she was sobbing uncontrollably.
No matter if she loved or hated Aiden Fordham, no matter what grievances they might still have, none of it mattered anymore in this moment.
This small test tube, seemingly light, truly held his life.
How could she bear to watch him die right in front of her?
She could love the world but couldn’t ignore his life.
Aiden Fordham looked at the desperately pleading Stella Grant, his eyes slightly moist.
His voice was extremely hoarse, "Stella, don’t cry, don’t beg him. Even if it’s just to live one more day, I don’t regret it. Come home with me, okay?"
He paused, and softly called out again.
"Sweetheart."
Stella Grant just shook her head, tears falling like a string of broken pearls, wildly.
Watching her about to break, Andy’s anger burned even hotter in his chest.
"You actually begged me for his sake?"
"Where’s your pride? You are a deity on this earth! You shouldn’t belong to him alone! You should love the world, but why do you only love him?"
All this made him feel sinful, like a clown.
He didn’t understand, he was resentful. But he didn’t know that a deity who loved the world wouldn’t abandon their beloved.
Stella Grant forcefully sniffed, her voice still full of intense pleading, "Andy, give it to me. I can go back with you and never see him again."
After all, Aiden Fordham was poisoned because he saved her master, he didn’t deserve to die no matter what.
Andy grew more furious, veins bulging on his forehead.
"Stella Grant, I forbid you to cry! Not another tear for him!" He gritted his teeth, every word squeezed out as a threat from between his teeth.
"Fine, fine, I won’t cry, won’t cry."
Stella Grant reached out to haphazardly wipe away the tears on her face, but no matter how she wiped, she remained drenched, her eyes a wellspring.
This scene once more soaked Aiden Fordham’s heart.
It’s tearing him apart.
"Stella, don’t cry." He coaxed her gently, yearning to hold her tightly and wipe away all her tears.
Andy once again looked at Aiden Fordham, this time with the final ultimatum, "Aiden Fordham, are you sure you only want her and not your life anymore?"
Aiden Fordham, gazing intently without a trace of hesitation: "That’s right, I only want her. Your threats are useless."
He answered with conviction.
Andy suddenly flung Stella Grant away, causing her to slam heavily against the ground.
"Since he’s decided, accept the reality!"
With that, he flicked his wrist and casually tossed it away.
A long arc traced through the air, the purple-red test tube tumbling, headed straight for the turbulent sea.
"No!"
Stella Grant cried out, almost as a reflex, she leaped up, eyes locked on that test tube, reaching out in a desperate attempt to grab it.
Her entire body plunged straight towards the icy sea water.
"Stella!"
"Stella!"
Two voices, filled with extreme terror, simultaneously rang out.
Two men, at this moment, shaken to their very core.
Andy was dumbfounded; he hadn’t expected she would be so reckless. Then, he too dove into the sea.
Aiden Fordham wanted to dash forward but was held tight by two bodyguards.
He violently shook off the two guards, but immediately four more rushed in, holding him down tightly, unable to move.
"Stella!"
His knees buckled, collapsing onto the cold ground.
She had actually jumped into the sea for him!
But, she feared water!
At this moment, the wind was high and the waves were fierce, boundless despair and sharp pain engulfed him instantly.
Stella Grant felt her body hit painfully against the water surface, but it seemed she caught the test tube.
She held on tightly, not daring to let go for even a second.
Huge waves battered her, making her helplessly float in the water.
Suddenly, her head struck a rock hard, and a wave of intense dizziness hit her.
She lost all strength to struggle, and her body began to slowly sink.
Bam! Another huge splash of water, Andy Lockwood surfaced, quickly looked around, and swam towards her with all his might.
Seeing her sink, Andy Lockwood dove into the depths with effort, finally seeing her figure, a thick blood red surrounding her completely.
Now it seemed incredibly similar to that scene four years ago.
Back then, when she saw Aiden Fordham fall into the sea, she jumped in without hesitation, using all her strength to pull the unconscious Aiden Fordham up.
Unexpectedly, nearing the surface, a shark appeared, swimming towards them.
In desperation, she pushed Aiden Fordham away with force, using a hairpin to cut her arm, turned around, and swam away, leading the shark in another direction.
In the water, her blood stained a uniquely unsettling red shimmer.
The shark opened its mouth towards her, just two meters away...
She widened her eyes in terror, her heart racing abruptly, her breathing halted.
At the moment of life and death, Andy Lockwood used the harpoon in his hand to injure the shark, in the struggle, she gradually sank into the depths.
After being rescued, she fell into a severe coma, almost becoming a vegetable.
When she woke up, her memory remained on that terrifying moment of the shark’s open mouth, from then on she dared not enter the water again, undergoing half a year of psychological treatment for this.
And the Aiden Fordham she pushed to the surface was "picked up" by Corinne Kensington.
Andy Lockwood once again had his pupils constrict in fear, swam over madly, holding her tightly, using all his strength to break through the water’s surface.
"Stella!" he urgently cried hoarsely.
The bodyguards on the shore scrambled to pull them up.
As he took steps onto solid ground with the unconscious person in his arms, he was so frightened he was at a complete loss, promptly administering urgent compressions and artificial respiration.
Yet she showed no signs of waking.
"Stella! Stella!"
Aiden Fordham shouted madly, struggling desperately, like a trapped beast trying to pounce over, but his body was firmly restrained, unable to move an inch.
Andy Lockwood continued with CPR, shouting incessantly, "Stella, open your eyes, look at me! Stella, don’t sleep! Stella!"
At this moment, he felt an unprecedented fear gripping his heart.
He was afraid, afraid of losing her once again.
But she never woke, her eyes remained tightly shut, with no breath.
"Stella, don’t sleep! I was wrong." Andy Lockwood stopped performing CPR, instead holding her head tightly, desperately calling her name over and over.
"Stella, please, open your eyes." Andy Lockwood’s heart was already deeply wounded.
He regretted!
He shouldn’t have brought her here.
"Andy Lockwood, what are you doing, save her, hurry!" Aiden Fordham frantically shouted at him.
Suddenly, Andy Lockwood seemed provoked by something, rushed over madly, grabbed Aiden Fordham by the collar, and punched his face several times.
His eyes were bloodshot, angrily scolding, "Aiden Fordham! You bastard, four years ago, you nearly cost her her life! Why do you still endanger her! Why make her die for you again!"
"The one who most deserves to die, should be you!"
Aiden Fordham, beaten to the point where blood oozed from the corners of his mouth and his eyebrows, only stared blankly at him, his mind a complete blank, having no idea what Andy Lockwood meant by what happened four years ago.
Why did she once risk her life for him?
But at this moment, he no longer had any ability to think.
"Andy Lockwood, quick, take her to the hospital, hurry!" he yelled, trembling all over.
Andy Lockwood’s eyes were fierce, "Aiden Fordham, you will never see her again!"
With these words, gunshots suddenly rang out intensively from the trees.
Soon after, five well-trained men in black emerged.
Yes, Aiden Fordham’s people had come over.
In the distance, the hum of a helicopter grew closer.
Andy Lockwood wanted to immediately pick up Stella Grant and leave, but his bodyguards rushed over first, protecting him firmly.
"Mr. Lockwood, go! There’s no time!"
The bodyguard pulled him, forcibly retreating to a hidden area.
When Aiden Fordham was let go, he rushed over frantically, tightly holding the limp Stella Grant in his arms.
Her eyes were tightly shut, her face as pale as paper, and the wound on her forehead still bleeding profusely, horrifying to sight.
Aiden Fordham bent down, once again performing CPR on her, pressing her chest over and over.
Continuously administering artificial respiration.
Tears uncontrollably fell "pat pat," landing on her cold, pale face.
Keegan Lindsey jumped down from the rope ladder of the hovering helicopter, anxiously shouting at him, "President Fordham, quick! Carry madam onboard, there are emergency facilities available!"
Aiden Fordham carefully carried her, frantically boarding the helicopter.
Onboard, Zane Zimmerman had come personally, instructing the doctor to immediately perform emergency care on Stella Grant.
Aiden Fordham looked at her tightly clenched right hand, still dripping blood from the palm.
He trembled, gently prying open her fingers.
In her palm, she was clutching half of an already broken test tube.
The sharp glass deeply embedded in the tender flesh of her palm, gushing with blood.
His heart wrenched into a knot, the pain almost suffocating him...
