From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon
Chapter 47: Unimaginable amounts of Damage
CHAPTER 47: UNIMAGINABLE AMOUNTS OF DAMAGE
Hesitantly I look down to see the sword was stabbed straight through my stomach, an exchange of blows. I could see all the damage I did to him with my attacks but yet he still stood there without any issues.
He coughs up a bit of blood before pulling his sword out. "You are definitely a lot stronger than I could’ve expected but still this should be enough." Lazarus says before coughing more.
Lazarus really did plan out his attack quite well... I didn’t think he’d get an opportunity to pierce me with his sword but he did, how could I have avoided that?
Velia stared at me from a couple feet away with a look I didn’t expect to see from her, a look of sadness. I didn’t think we were that close but I guess fighting alongside someone can do that huh?
I stagger back a couple of steps before falling to my knees, the pain was clearly there but I wasn’t able to focus on it.
"That won’t be enough I’m sure. Cough. Cough." Lazarus says before moving towards me.
Even with all the damage he took... He still could make his way over to me without any problem. He truly is a legendary demon but I still don’t think that this is the end of our fight...
Within a moment of him reaching me I felt his fist go across my face, felt as if a brick itself smashed into me. Thud! Knocked me back onto the ground too, the blood was slowly starting to form in a puddle around me.
"Rokuro!" Velia shouts as she charges in.
Slash!!! Slash!!! The blade is all I can feel cutting across my flesh as I lay here on the ground. Helpless.
Velia stabs her sword straight through the back of Lazarus’s chest and blood spills out onto me as I look up at him.
Unimaginable amounts of damage were done to me, how could I survive this...? The lowest ranking hunters would be dead from the stab alone.
I’m no better after all. Stuck laying here looking up at the dark skies of this floor, my mouth left open with blood leaking out from it. I’m sure I look like hell with all these wounds he inflicted on me just now.
Tear!!! Clang!! I can hear something tearing through flesh before it gets hit by something metallic. They are probably fighting again while I’m stuck here on the ground.
I truly did think that I was hitting him with everything I got so why does it feel like it wasn’t enough? Could I have pushed it even further than this... Further than I did on the previous floor.
Not every dragon is strong either you know, some are probably just as weak as one of the e ranking hunters. Even if they are an SSS ranking dragon does it make a difference if they don’t have anything special about them?
Rika never told me if there was something special about my power or if I’m just getting powers or a basic dragon. SSS my ass!
You are powerful. It’s not easy to unlock the potential of this power Rokuro, it takes time.
Time is something that I don’t always have... Especially right now with Velia fighting against the damn demon by herself. She could die to him while I’m just laying here on the ground in a puddle of my own blood.
Everything starts to go dark around me as I try to reach towards the sky, extending my hand out as if someone is just going to help me. The abyss was probably going to consume me after all.
"Nobody said it was your time to die just yet Rokuro. A young dragon like yourself has a lot to accomplish." A familiar voice of a woman speaks, almost a bit distant.
I’ve heard her voice before. I’m just unsure of when or where I heard it but I know for a fact that I’ve talked to her.
"You’ve got to get back up." She continues on speaking as the voice gets closer.
I can feel wind blowing past me with each time the blades collide. I didn’t know they were still fighting at first since everything felt like it was disappearing around me.
She’s right. We have to get back up.
Getting up isn’t completely impossible, just my wounds are definitely pretty bad. He sliced through me quite a few times with his sword and even stabbed me with it.
I look up as the darkness disappears around me and I can see Seraphine standing right in front of me. Or I guess it would be better to say she’s standing there above me.
"Not every hunter, no, not every human being gets a chance to get help from me." Seraphine says with a smile forming on her face.
This was my second time seeing Seraphine but the difference was that it was in person this time. It wasn’t like the last time when I saw her in that strange room.
I didn’t think I’d ever see her in the real world like this before since I assumed she was some sort of goddess.
She heals some of my wounds and helps me get back on my feet. "T-Thank you..." I manage to say with a bit of a weak tone.
"You’ll have to handle the rest of the healing and the fight of course but it’s not your time to die yet so don’t disappoint me." Seraphine responds before walking away.
"Tch. Not my time to die my ass." I mutter while looking ahead.
Velia was covered in cuts as well so the time to help her out is definitely now... I won’t let something happen to her because of my inability to finish him off.
Clench. My hands still had these sharp dragon like talons but it was possible to form a fist. I’ll just have to use the last of my strength to finish this...
