From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon
Chapter 59: [20] King of the Abyss
CHAPTER 59: [20] KING OF THE ABYSS
"Do you know what awaits us on the 20th floor?" I ask.
As annoying as she might be, she is also very knowledgeable for the most part. She’s been pretty helpful with getting through the floors as much as I hate to admit it.
She just keeps a smile on her face as she starts to speak. "Not a single clue, but I’m quite curious to see whatever it is that is waiting for us." Mira answers.
"I thought you’d know about it but it was stupid to think otherwise." Velia chimes in with a bit of disappointment in her voice.
I walk past the both of them towards the door in the distance, one that seems to be made out of pure black with nothing else to it. No engravings, no strange lights lining the door, and nothing extra period.
It was definitely quite the ominous feeling to be faced with but at this point we’ve already faced all sorts of enemies in this tower. Golems, undead, dragons, demons, and even some ghouls.
Regardless of all that I began to push the door open, listening to the wind that blows past me. This was definitely the floor of a boss... Especially with the way the aura felt from opening the door alone.
The feeling of death lingers in the air, no signs of peace are present in the slightest... Not that I expected it to begin with.
"Rokuro I must welcome you to my home." A voice calls out with calmness in its voice.
[20] The King of the Abyss.
I look behind me to see that Mira and Velia are gone out of nowhere, it was just pitch black all around me. The voice starts to sound a bit more clear as it gets closer.
"See, I don’t get too many visitors so it’s nice change of pace to have you here." His voice becomes crystal clear.
There wasn’t any reason for me to be to let my guard down so I lifted my arms up and prepared for a fight. "I don’t trust you asshole, wherever you may be." I respond while glancing around.
"Behind you." He whispers into my ear.
Quickly I turn around to see that he’s not there whatsoever but then light begins to shine onto a distant throne. A man wearing a black coat, white undershirt, black pants, and a crown on his head stared directly at me.
His dark blue eyes were staring right at me. Short black hair that just barely reached his eyes was also something that caught my attention.
This surprised me because he looks quite young and has a pretty familiar hairstyle to those in my world. I guess beings probably have similar styles to our world but his clothes are definitely not the same as my worlds.
It definitely looks like some fancy noble gave him clothes to wear but it’s pretty baggy on him.
Light begins to surround him more as two beautiful women stand by his side, both wearing pretty revealing clothing. It appears as if it’s supposed to be armor but you can see their thighs clear as day, the outline of their ass was very nice, and both appear to have double D’s.
The one on the right has horns coming out from her short pink hair and even seems to have yellow dragon eyes. Meanwhile the girl on the left seems to have long red hair with a death stare already locked on me with her crimson red eyes.
Both were definitely beautiful to look at but it didn’t really make much sense to me.
-10 points for the perv.
I’m just being honest here Rika, can you really blame me for noticing the beauty of them both. I wouldn’t mind having a bunch of beautiful girls around me all the time.
"Art he’s staring at us, it’s kind of weird." The girl with pink hair says with a bit of disgust in her voice.
He smirks as he looks towards me. "Don’t mind him, this is only natural." Art responds with a bit of excitement in his voice.
"Are we going to fight or... what the hell is going on?" I question with a bit of confusion.
"Obviously. I just needed to see what you were like first. Amelia, Mizuki, show the others some them around while I handle this." Art responds before shifting his attention to them.
The two girls vanish shortly after he tells them what to do and now it was just the two of us here. He still sat in the throne as he stared at me.
Everything about him felt off but I didn’t really let it get to me since I’ve got to overcome everything in this damn tower.
"The tower is your way to get stronger I bet, not that I’m surprised." He says while slowly standing up.
I clench my fists and prepare for him to attack me. "What does it matter?" I ask with a bit of an annoyed tone.
"I just wish someone would have a unique reason for climbing, that’s all." Art responds with a bit of disappointment.
Dodge now Rokuro!
I jump back as multiple arms come flying up from the ground where I was originally standing. Landing back on my feet I took a few steps back while watching for his next move.
"Your instincts are quite good but I don’t think it’ll be easy to predict every time." Art says with a bit of a cocky tone.
There’s no guarantee that I’ll be able to avoid every one of his attacks but I’m going to do my best to understand how he fights. That’ll be the key to beating him since I can’t brute force it every fight.
Sometimes I’ll have to actually think about how to beat the enemy before me.
We are definitely at quite the disadvantage in here so we’ll need to be quick if we want to survive this floor.
Fully noted Rika.
