From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon
Chapter 64: A Mage Vs Dragon
CHAPTER 64: A MAGE VS DRAGON
It’s likely that she’ll have more than just ice magic.
Any idea what else specifically she might use?
I’d just say watch for any purple looking magic, it is more than likely electric based magic.
Electricity definitely doesn’t sound like a fun time to deal with so I’d rather avoid that as much as possible. Being frozen from ice also would be pretty painful so I’ll just have to find a way to end this as quickly as possible.
Crack. Crumble. The ground breaks underneath me as I push off it towards the girl once again. This time I’ll try to utilize the talons a bit more since they can definitely do some damage.
It didn’t take long for me to infuse my hand with a bit of flames with some additional power mixed in. I’ll try my best to enhance this enough to make a difference.
"Didn’t you already see that your physical attacks won’t be enough?" She asks rhetorically.
It didn’t matter if my first attack hit an invisible bubble or if this one hits it as well since I’m going to make sure I win this fight. The only problem is that I can feel the exhaustion kicking in a little bit.
I don’t know how much time I have left specifically before blacking out becomes a big possibility. I’d like to get this fight over with before that can happen but I don’t know if that’ll be the case.
Rika told me I need to work on this blacking out issue as well so maybe this is the perfect chance to figure it out.
A blast of purplish electricity goes past me as my body instinctively dodges it. It took me out of my thoughts and brought me back to reality.
The wall of flames was gone so I didn’t have its protection anymore... Looking down at my fists I knew that it was the only reliable way of fighting that I have.
Would be great to have some sort of weapon instead but I guess this is the best I got for the time being.
I don’t know how I forgot this but I’m already close enough to try to attack. My fists were already heading towards her as that realization hit me.
Wobble!!!! My hand hits the bubble once again and the cracks form throughout it within seconds. POW!! I slam my left fist into it after seeing the damage appear before my eyes.
Shatter!!!!! It completely breaks as my fist goes through. The force from the punch manages to hit her and knock her back a few feet.
The damage wasn’t anything deadly to her but it showed that I can get through that damn bubble of hers. I can only wonder how much mana it takes her to make one of those bubbles.
I’m sure it’s not a cheap expense for her to use so maybe, just maybe this is the opportunity to finish this fight.
She also seems to be human which will be a problem for me since I can’t handle too much bloodlust to begin with. I’ll have to beat her and leave her in a state for Velia to finish her off.
Clang!! Clang!! I can hear the sound of Velia’s sword clashing against the dagger of that dragon woman. They are also still going at it pretty good so I doubt she’ll be helping with this any time soon.
The red haired girl spits out some blood onto the floor before wiping her mouth. "Rokuro I believe he said your name was... You are stronger than expected." She says, a bit out of breath.
Was the force of my attack that much on her?
Did you forget that she’s a mage? Mages aren’t always the most durable which is why they hide in the background usually.
I just didn’t expect it. Some mages are able to fight in close quarters too but I guess it depends on the mage. Mage knights I believe most refer to them as in our world.
They make a big difference in some fights while others don’t live to tell about it at any of the guild halls. The amount of knowledge I’ve got from guild hall conversations is quite a lot.
"That’s not my fault that you underestimated me from the start." I respond while cracking my knuckles.
"Strong people never arrive on this floor." She speaks while wobbling on her feet.
She was a lot more damaged from the attack than I thought since I could see the way she struggled to stay standing. The amount of power in that punch wasn’t nearly the same as my right hand.
I’ll utilize my power by putting it entirely into speed for a moment. It wasn’t that hard to shift my power around in my body, it was a quick change.
I could feel it pulsing in my heels so this was the time to finish the fight. SWOOSH!
In seconds I appeared behind her before she could react and did a light tap to the back of her neck. She fell to the ground unconscious after that.
I’m glad you have a smart way of thinking. Not everyone can do that so I’m definitely a bit impressed.
Others would’ve killed her without any hesitation but I can’t do that with the bloodlust playing a big part in it. Also the deaths do way on me with each person I’ve killed so far.
I don’t like taking their lives but they wouldn’t give me the mercy either so it’s not worth second guessing.
The fighting in the distance had also died down finally so maybe the fight was over for Velia too. I shifted my gaze towards her direction to see that the dragon girl was on the ground now.
Velia was covered in all sorts of cuts from the dagger but she still seems to be standing just fine.
She walks over to me as she wipes her blade off. "Did you finish that one off yet?" Velia asks while looking down at the red head girl.
