CHAPTER 41: CHAPTER 41: DAMN MUSCLE MEMORY!

As soon as the words were spoken, Caden Hawthorne walked over to the large bed and lay down on his own.

Seeing this, Vivian Lynch stood rooted to the spot, feeling slightly awkward and at a loss.

Caden curled his lips and patted the empty space beside him, "I saved a spot for you, come on over and sleep."

Vivian’s face turned red, and she quickly found an excuse, "I... I’ll go change into pajamas first."

With that, Vivian ran to the wardrobe room.

Once inside, her heart was pounding.

She leaned against the door, trying to calm her emotions. Her mind kept replaying the image of Caden lying on the bed, that deep look in his eyes and the slight upturn of his lips made her both nervous and excited.

There was no denying it, Caden had looked incredibly sexy in his pajamas just now, especially with his partially open collar teasing a glimpse of his chest muscles, and the muscles of his abdomen were full of sensual tension.

Vivian almost couldn’t hold back, her heart racing, desperately needing a place to cool down.

Just thinking about that night at the hotel made her cheeks flush uncontrollably.

"Vivian, what on earth are you thinking?"

Realizing this, she quickly patted her face, gradually regaining her composure.

"And you think you can covet President Hawthorne?" Vivian muttered to herself, "Heh, but to be honest, Caden’s got quite a good build."

After quite some time, Vivian slowly took a simple pajama from the closet and changed out of her damp nightwear.

She took a deep breath, finally mustering up the courage to leave the wardrobe and return to the bedroom.

When she returned to the room, she saw Caden still lazily lying on the bed, looking her up and down, "All changed?"

Vivian nodded slightly, her cheeks involuntarily heating up as she slowly walked toward the bed. With every step, she could feel her heartbeat quickening.

At the bedside, she hesitated for a moment before cautiously sitting down on the edge.

Noticing her nervousness, Caden’s smile grew more teasing, "So nervous? Afraid I’ll do something to you?"

"No way." Vivian immediately blushed and retorted.

The next second, Caden sat up and reached out to take Vivian’s hand.

Vivian’s body trembled slightly, wanting to pull her hand back, but Caden held it tightly, leaving no room for escape.

"Don’t be nervous." Caden’s voice was low and gentle, "I won’t do anything to you."

Looking into Caden’s eyes, filled with warmth and reassurance, she gradually relaxed.

Seeing Vivian let down her guard, Caden gently guided her, "Come, lie down."

Vivian obediently nodded and slowly lay down beside Caden.

Caden turned off the lights and lay down, extending his arm to cover Vivian with the blanket.

Vivian turned over, facing away from Caden.

The two lay on the same bed, a distance between them, yet they could clearly feel each other’s presence.

The room was so quiet that only their breathing could be heard, making Vivian too tense to fall asleep.

She tossed and turned, her mind filled with a myriad of thoughts.

At that moment, Caden turned over to look at her. "Vivian, can’t sleep?"

Vivian nodded, "Yeah, it’s a bit unusual."

Previously, she always slept alone, never having shared a bed with a man.

Now, with a handsome guy like Caden beside her, how could she possibly sleep?

Except for that night when she indeed slept deeply, perhaps because she was too tired, and Caden’s relentless demands had exhausted her, she quickly fell asleep.

Hearing this, Caden said nothing, just moved closer to her and then reached out, pulling Vivian into his arms.

Caught off guard by Caden’s sudden move, Vivian’s heart skipped a beat.

Caden buried his head in her neck, inhaling the fragrance of her hair, identical to that night, leaving him inexplicably satisfied and calm inside.

He whispered softly in her ear, "Don’t be afraid, I’m here."

His voice was tender yet firm, causing Vivian’s tension to gradually dissipate.

Feeling the warmth of Caden’s hand on her waist, a stream of warmth surged through her heart.

In this warm embrace, Vivian gradually relaxed, slowly closing her eyes and drifting into sweet dreams.

Caden watched the person in his arms, now asleep, a slight smile on his lips, filled with happiness.

He also slowly closed his eyes, immersing himself with her in this peaceful and beautiful night.

The next morning, the sunlight gently streamed through the gap in the curtains, waking Vivian.

She slightly opened her eyes and the first sight that greeted her was Caden’s handsome sleeping face.

Her heart skipped a beat, and the warm memories of last night flooded back instantly.

Vivian moved slightly, realizing she was still in Caden’s arms, with one of his hands inside her pajama.

Her cheeks flushed a bit as she tried carefully to slip away, not wanting to wake Caden.

Caden opened his eyes, and their gaze met, his eyes carrying a hint of laziness and affection. "Morning."

His voice was deep and husky, filled with magnetism.

Vivian shyly responded, "Morning."

She lowered her head, not daring to meet his eyes.

Caden looked at her adorable look, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, and the warm, soft sensation under his palm instantly tensed his nerves.

"Sorry! I... I didn’t mean it." Caden quickly withdrew his hand.

He couldn’t quite understand how in a daze, his hand ended up there, perhaps due to the muscle memory from that night!

Instantly, a bit of embarrassment showed on Caden’s handsome face, cursed muscle memory!

"It’s... it’s okay." Vivian replied softly.

Caden sat up, feeling extremely awkward, his eyes avoiding Vivian’s, trying to divert his attention, "So, did you sleep well last night?"

Vivian nodded shyly, "Um, very well."

In Caden’s embrace, she indeed felt an unprecedented sense of security and comfort.

"That’s good, the door should be open by now, I’ll go freshen up first."

Caden gave an awkward smile, then, getting out of bed swiftly with his clothes, headed to open the door.

Sure enough, the room door was open.

Caden quietly closed the door, then tiptoed back to his own room.

Riley Hawthorne had been waiting outside his room. Seeing Caden trying to sneak quietly, she couldn’t help but chuckle, "Bro, did you sleep well last night?"

At the sight of Riley, Caden immediately straightened his posture, becoming a completely different person from a moment ago.

"What do you think?"

"Looks like you had a good sleep." Riley chuckled softly, "Didn’t anything happen between you and sis-in-law?"
