CHAPTER 50: CHAPTER 50: TONIGHT, I WANT TO SLEEP WITH YOU

"That’s right, it’s us." Caden Hawthorne looked at her with interest.

Vivian Lynch’s cheeks flushed immediately. Did she hear correctly? Caden Hawthorne actually wanted to bathe with her?

Vivian Lynch widened her eyes and said with embarrassment, "Caden, you... you’re joking, right?"

But Caden raised an eyebrow, his eyes playful, "I’m not joking. Doesn’t Vivian want to bathe with me?"

Vivian’s face was as red as a ripe apple, she hurriedly waved her hands, "No, no, that’s too embarrassing."

Caden chuckled softly, walked to Vivian’s side, and gently wrapped his arm around her waist, "Madam, you look so cute when you’re shy. Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. Hurry up and bathe! I’ll wait for you outside."

As soon as the words fell, Caden let go of Vivian and walked out of the bathroom.

Vivian finally breathed a sigh of relief, watching Caden’s departing figure, yet a surge of sweetness arose in her heart.

After entering the bathroom, Caden returned to the computer and continued his work from earlier.

Soon, the sound of water splashing was heard.

Vivian wrapped in a bathrobe, came out of the bathroom and saw Caden still working earnestly, she couldn’t help but walk over.

"Working so late?"

Seeing Vivian come out, Caden immediately stood up and handed her the hot milk beside the table.

"Here, drink it. It helps with sleep."

Seeing Caden thoughtfully prepare hot milk for her, Vivian still felt a bit unreal, mainly due to his change in attitude, which made her have the illusion that he liked her.

"Thank you." Vivian took the milk and sipped it slowly, looking heavy-hearted.

"What’s wrong?" Caden saw through her concerns and asked involuntarily.

"Caden, are you being nice to me because of the baby in my belly or because of me?"

Upon hearing this, Caden couldn’t help but touch her nose and smiled, "Do I need a reason to be nice to you?"

"Of course, you clearly know..." Vivian looked anxious.

"Know what?" Caden’s lips twitched playfully.

"Caden, I hope your kindness isn’t just because I’m carrying your child. I... I wholeheartedly want to be with you. I might have violated our agreement and fallen for you."

Vivian poured out the words from her heart in one breath, feeling a sense of relief as these words had been pent up for too long.

"What did you just say?" Caden’s eyes lit up, a look of joy appeared on his face, and he even excitedly placed his hand on her shoulder.

Vivian slightly paused, thinking Caden hadn’t heard clearly, she bit her lip and repeated with a flushed face, "I said I’ve fallen for you, and I don’t want your kindness to be just because of the baby."

Caden’s eyes turned exceptionally gentle, he softly grasped Vivian’s hand, his voice deep and magnetic, "Vivian, actually I like you too. From the first time I saw you at the hotel, I liked you."

Caden would never forget the moment he saw her that night at the hotel.

She wore a white dress, like a startled little deer, she rushed into his room and into his world.

She clung to him, pleading with a soft, helpless voice, "Sir, please, help me!"

At that moment, the Buddha Beads in his hand fell to the ground, his heart could no longer be calm, and at that moment, he lost his rationality, knowing she had been drugged, yet still took her under such circumstances.

"Vivian, my kindness isn’t just for the child, but more for you. You are kind, brave, strong, making me involuntarily want to get close to you and protect you." Caden held Vivian’s hand, looking at her tenderly.

Upon hearing Caden’s words, Vivian couldn’t help but cry for joy, "Caden, so, you liked me long ago. Why didn’t you tell me earlier then?"

"At first, I thought you approached me to join the Hawthorne Family, I thought you sought out grandfather to force me to take responsibility for you, I thought you wanted to threaten me with the child. That’s why I said those unpleasant things to you."

Despite suspecting Vivian approached him for wealth and status, he still wanted to keep her by his side, hence suggested marriage; only this way could she give birth to the child.

Listening to Caden’s words, Vivian’s grievances gradually dissipated.

She gently wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes, "Caden, I never wanted to threaten you with the child, nor aimed to join the Hawthorne Family. At that time, my foster mother forced me to marry Director Warner’s son, having nowhere to turn, I sought help from grandfather. I didn’t know he would send you, nor thought about marrying you."

Caden embraced Vivian tightly, filled with remorse, "I misunderstood you. From now on, I won’t let you be wronged even a bit."

Vivian leaned into Caden’s warmth, experiencing the comfort of his embrace.

She understood that their misunderstanding was finally resolved, realizing why he had an attitude earlier.

"Caden, I want to be with you forever. After a year, can we not divorce? I’m... I’m afraid I can’t bear to part with you and the child then." Vivian said softly, looking up with a pitiful gaze.

Caden nodded, imprinting a kiss on her forehead, "Okay, we won’t divorce and we won’t separate."

As soon as the words fell, Caden lifted Vivian horizontally.

Vivian, realizing her body was in the air, was startled and quickly hugged his neck, "Caden, what are you doing?"

"Going to sleep, of course." Caden’s lips twitched playfully.

"If you want to sleep, go back to your own room." Vivian said with a flushed face, pushing against Caden, struggling in his arms.

"No, tonight, I want to sleep with you." Caden shook his head, a smile rising on his handsome face.

Vivian’s face turned redder, she whispered, "No way, I’m still pregnant!"

But Caden was indifferent, carrying her to the bed, he said, "Pregnant is not a worry, just sleeping simply."

At the bedside, Caden gently placed Vivian on the bed, then leaned over to press her down, lifting her chin playfully, "Or, does Vivian want to do something else with me?"

Upon hearing this, Vivian’s face blushed to her neck, "No way."

Caden smiled and lay down beside her, wrapping her in his arms.

Vivian was so nervous her body stiffened, she attempted to break free from Caden’s embrace, only to be held tighter.

"Don’t move, just sleep well!"

Feeling helpless, Vivian gave up struggling, lying quietly in Caden’s arms.

Listening to his steady heartbeat, her heart gradually calmed.

Caden looked at the obedient Vivian in his arms, his lips slightly curved, he couldn’t help but give a light kiss on her forehead, and then his kiss landed on her red lips.

"Mm..." Vivian widened her eyes and looked at him, "Caden, didn’t you say just sleeping? Why are you kissing me?"

But Caden played innocent, looking at her with a naive expression, "You’re my wife, I’m your husband, kissing is not illegal. Besides, if we can’t do more, can’t we at least have a kiss?"
