CHAPTER 58: CHAPTER 58: CALL ME HUBBY, SAY IT A FEW MORE TIMES

"By the way, earlier, why didn’t you ask about your biological parents?" Caden Hawthorne looked puzzled; clearly, her visit to the hospital was not only to see Mr. Lynch but also to find out who her biological parents were.

Vivian Lynch was slightly taken aback and then gently shook her head.

"Now is not the time. I don’t want to worry Dad any more with my issues. Besides, I don’t know how to face them... if they are still alive."

Caden deeply understood her feelings and instinctively grasped her hand, offering her warmth.

"It’s okay. When you’re ready, we’ll go search for them together. No matter what happens, I’ll always be by your side."

Vivian felt warmth in her heart and leaned into Caden’s embrace, "Caden, it’s so nice to have you."

Afterwards, Caden escorted Vivian back to Hartswell Manor.

He then went to a mysterious place, which was an underworld organization, located in a factory building in the outskirts.

The brothers in the organization, upon seeing Caden arrive, immediately stood respectfully to the side and called out in unison, "Greetings, The Patriarch!"

Caden nodded slightly, his expression stern. He walked into a room where several core members sat, including his childhood friend Zachary Sutton.

"Anything happening recently?" Caden headed straight to his seat, his long fingers lightly tapping on the table as he asked carelessly.

One person stepped forward to report, "The Patriarch, recently various forces have been relatively quiet, but we mustn’t let our guard down."

Caden frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, and then said, "Continue to strengthen vigilance; report any anomalies to me immediately."

Everyone responded in unison, "Yes, sir!"

At this moment, Zachary spoke up, "Caden, why have you been running back and forth here so often recently? Are you ignoring that one back home?"

Caden glanced at him, "Is there a problem?"

Zachary chuckled, "No problem, just that you have dual identities running back and forth; it’s truly exhausting."

Caden’s expression turned serious, "It’s my responsibility, and even if I have a family, I won’t abandon the organization."

Zachary nodded, "Alright, I know you’re a man of loyalty. But you’re a father now, too, so be cautious and don’t take too many risks."

Caden nodded slightly, "I understand. By the way... I have something I’d like you to help me with."

After a moment of contemplation, Caden spoke slowly, "Help me look into Vivian Lynch’s biological parents; see if there are any leads."

Zachary was a bit surprised, "You’re really concerned about Vivian now? Earlier you’d say you weren’t moved, but now your true colors are showing, aren’t they?"

Caden smirked but neither confirmed nor denied, though the tenderness in his eyes betrayed his inner feelings.

"I want to help her find her family as soon as possible so she can be at ease. She doesn’t say it, but I know it’s a matter that’s always on her mind."

Zachary chuckled, "Alright, leave it to me. But be careful not to let your missus know you’re investigating this behind her back, otherwise she might sulk and perhaps blame you for not respecting her wishes."

Caden nodded slightly, "I understand; you must keep this confidential."

Zachary snapped his fingers and gave Caden a reassuring look, "Don’t worry, aren’t you confident in my work?"

Subsequently, Caden discussed some issues regarding the organization with them and then drove away.

Back at Hartswell Manor, Vivian was sitting in the garden painting, sunlight embracing her like a beautiful canvas.

"What are you painting?" Caden walked over, hugged her from behind, and buried his head in her shoulder, asking tenderly.

Vivian turned to look at Caden with a smiling face, "You’re back! I’m painting our future."

"Our future?" Upon hearing this, Caden’s gaze landed on Vivian’s artwork; she was obviously painting rows of sunflowers, basking in the sunlight, brightly blooming.

Bewildered, Caden looked at Vivian, "How’s this depicting our future?"

Vivian held a paintbrush, pointing at her painting, and smiled as she explained, "Look, those sunflowers are like us, forever reaching for the sunlight, filled with hope. Our future will be like these sunflowers, radiant and splendid."

Upon hearing this, Caden released Vivian, a smile appearing in his eyes, "Honey, your imagination is truly vivid. So, what do you think our future will be like?"

Vivian slightly raised her head, her gaze filled with yearning, "I believe we’ll watch our baby grow up together, then live happily as a family. We’ll experience many wonderful things, walk through spring, summer, autumn, and winter together, and explore every corner of the world."

Just listening brought immense delight to Caden, his mind already fantasizing about their future.

"Hmm, sounds pretty good; this painting is quite meaningful."

Vivian was overjoyed, "Caden, do you really think so?"

Caden reached out, gently tapped her nose, "Of course, my wife paints this well, it definitely needs to be framed."

Vivian’s smile was radiant, "Then let’s hang this painting in our room together!"

Caden nodded, gently saying, "Okay, as you wish."

They carefully picked up the painting and together entered the room.

Caden found the tools and with Vivian, hung this hopeful painting of sunflowers in a prominent spot in the room.

Looking at the perfectly hung painting, Vivian was filled with joy, while Caden embraced her from behind, whispering softly in her ear, "From now on, every time we look at this painting, it will remind us of our future."

Vivian nestled into Caden’s embrace, her face glowing with a happy smile. "Caden, I look forward to our future."

"Call me hubby," Caden couldn’t help but emphasize.

Vivian’s cheeks warmed slightly, and she called softly, "Hubby."

"Say it again for me." Caden hugged Vivian, seemingly never getting enough.

Vivian’s face turned red, her voice even softer and sweeter, "Hubby."

"Say it again."

Vivian turned around, her fair hand gently tapping his chest, pretending to be angry, "Caden Hawthorne, that’s enough, don’t push your luck."

"But I want to hear more, who told you your voice is so sweet, so pleasant." Caden held her wrist with an amorous gaze.

Vivian gently nudged him, playfully scolding, "Don’t be too excessive."

Yet Caden didn’t let go, whispering in her ear, "I’ll be excessive because you’re my wife."

"Hubby hubby hubby..."

In the end, unable to resist him, Vivian called him hubby several times, to the point she wanted to find a hole and hide in it—it was too embarrassing.

But Caden looked thoroughly enjoying himself, his mouth curling into a smile, contentedly planting a gentle kiss on Vivian’s forehead.

Vivian quickly snuggled into his embrace, while Caden hugged her tightly, as if time stood still at that moment.

Sunlight poured through the window, adding a soft hue to their warm scene.
