Chapter 79: Is Vivian Lynch the Lynch Family’s Adopted Daughter?
CHAPTER 79: CHAPTER 79: IS VIVIAN LYNCH THE LYNCH FAMILY’S ADOPTED DAUGHTER?
Stella Fletcher smiled somewhat shyly. "President Hawthorne, this is quite embarrassing."
Vivian pulled Stella’s hand. "Stella, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. It’s settled, we’ll have dinner together."
Seeing Vivian’s enthusiasm, Stella didn’t refuse. "Alright then, I’ll impose."
Caden Hawthorne smiled faintly. "Not at all, the more the merrier."
Butler Hughes quickly arranged the dinner, and the three of them sat around the table, the atmosphere warm and harmonious.
Caden Hawthorne occasionally served food to Vivian, his eyes full of tenderness. Stella watched their loving display and felt a mix of emotions.
"Vivian, you and President Hawthorne are really happy. Seeing you like this, I’m a bit envious," Stella said with a smile.
Vivian smiled. "You’ll find your own happiness too."
After dinner, Stella was about to leave. Vivian and Caden personally saw her to the door and arranged for Butler Hughes to drive her home.
"Stella, come by anytime," Vivian said.
Stella nodded. "Alright, you both head back inside."
With that, Stella waved at them and got into the car.
Watching the car drive away from Hartswell Manor, Vivian turned her gaze back.
"Vivian, did you have a good day?" Caden wrapped his arm around her shoulder, his eyes full of affection.
"I did." Vivian nodded with a smile, gently leaning into his embrace, "Caden, thank you."
"What are you thanking me for?" Caden looked down, puzzled at Vivian.
Vivian looked up, whispering with a smile, "I know you invited Stella over so I wouldn’t be bored, didn’t you?"
Caden gently kissed her forehead and said with a smile, "As long as you’re happy. We can invite more friends over, so you won’t feel bored."
Vivian nodded, her heart filled with happiness, "Okay."
Then, as if remembering something, she looked up and asked, "Caden, I want to visit the Lynch Family tomorrow and see my dad."
Upon hearing this, Caden frowned slightly, "You’re quite far along now, I worry. How about I arrange for someone to bring him here to our home?"
Vivian smiled, "My dad doesn’t like being a bother. If you bring him here to the Hawthorne Family, he definitely won’t come."
"Alright then, I’ll have Butler Hughes take you back." Unable to change Vivian’s mind, Caden gently tapped her nose.
"Okay." Vivian nodded.
In a luxurious hotel, Silas Everett sat on a comfortable sofa, holding Vivian’s profile, studying it seriously.
"Is this Vivian Lynch, the Lynch Family’s adopted daughter?" Silas looked up, glancing at his assistant.
The assistant nodded, "Yes, Daniel Lynch brought her back from the orphanage. She was only five years old then."
Silas narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "Her background seems quite special. How has her life been with the Lynch Family?"
The assistant continued to report, "Miss Lynch’s life in the Lynch Family appears to be difficult. Daniel Lynch’s wife was not kind to her and often made things hard for her. She has a brother who has a gambling problem and racked up a lot of debt. It’s said she worked while studying to help pay off his debts. Miss Lynch is quite resilient and has made a name for herself in jewelry design through her own efforts."
Silas’s lips curled into a faint smile, casually asking, "It seems she’s a very tenacious woman. How did she and Caden Hawthorne meet?"
The assistant replied, "The details aren’t very clear, but it’s said they married because of a child. It’s clear President Hawthorne really cares for Miss Lynch; it appears to be genuine affection."
Silas smiled slightly, "I never thought the Aethelgard Circle’s prince would one day be swayed by beauty."
At this, Silas set down the materials and instructed, "Continue investigating discreetly; I want to know the entire process of how Vivian Lynch and Caden Hawthorne met."
"Yes, young master."
After the assistant left, Silas stood up, walked to the window, and gazed out at the city view.
He adjusted the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, a meaningful smile playing on his lips, "This Vivian Lynch is becoming more and more interesting to me."
There was a complex emotion in Silas’s eyes. A strong and resilient woman, striving forward despite difficulties, capable of attracting someone like Caden Hawthorne. What kind of charm does she have?
The next day, Vivian returned to the Lynch Family accompanied by Butler Hughes.
When Mr. Lynch saw his daughter return, he showed a relieved smile.
"Vivian, why are you back? Running around while pregnant, it’s worrisome," Mr. Lynch said with concern.
Vivian smiled, linking her arm with her father’s. "Dad, I just missed you. And with Butler Hughes here, nothing will happen."
Mr. Lynch shook his head helplessly. "You always make people worry. How have you been? Is the baby well?"
Vivian nodded. "Dad, we’re both good. You don’t have to worry."
Father and daughter sat in the living room chatting. Vivian shared her recent life, and Mr. Lynch listened earnestly, occasionally smiling.
"Vivian, seeing your happiness now, I can be at ease. Caden treats you well, you should treasure that," Mr. Lynch advised.
Vivian obediently replied, "Dad, I know. Caden is very good to me, and I’ll be good to him too."
Just then, Vivian’s phone suddenly rang. She picked it up and saw it was Caden calling.
"Vivian, have you arrived? Is everything okay?" Caden’s voice was full of concern.
Vivian replied warmly, "Caden, I’ve arrived, everything is okay. Don’t worry."
Only then did Caden feel relieved. "Good, then spend some good time with your dad. Call me if you need anything."
After hanging up, Vivian smiled at her father, "Dad, Caden really cares about me."
Mr. Lynch nodded and said with a smile, "It’s clear he’s reliable. Vivian, you must live well."
Mr. Lynch’s eyes were full of comfort, along with pain for her. This child had such a hard life, abandoned to the orphanage.
At that time, Vivian was only five and had not lived well in the orphanage.
All dirty, she had once held his hand, pleading, "Uncle, I’m hungry, can you take me away?"
It was then that Daniel Lynch found her pitiful and brought her back to the Lynch Family, naming her ’Vivian’, meaning ’not too late.’
Vivian tightly grasped her father’s hand, happiness evident on her face, "Dad, rest assured, I will."
