Chapter 611: 611: Kneel!
Chapter 611: Chapter 611: Kneel!
“Qiaoqiao, don’t touch there.” A hoarse voice, with immense restraint.
Nan Qiao was teasing Li Yehan’s emotions, pulling them to the maximum.
“Can’t take it anymore?”
Li Yehan: “…”
He couldn’t resist at all.
The moonlight crept up silently, casting a beam into the room, only for the moon to shyly hide behind the clouds.
…
Li Tianyi brought a cup of milk over to Mei Tian Sha Zi.
“Drink some milk and sleep early.”
Mei Tian Sha Zi couldn’t sleep at all, she gazed in surprise at the man beside her.
After twenty years of marriage, she couldn’t quite understand the man before her.
“Aren’t you worried? If they find out you’re not allergic to chestnuts, aren’t you really worried?”
“Whatever comes, adapt to it calmly. Every time there’s a problem, it’s too easy for the two of us to panic. What’s done is done; we should handle it calmly instead of blaming each other.”
Mei Tian Sha Zi embraced Li Tianyi emotionally, her face pressed against his chest: “Tianyi, you’re really good to me.”
Li Tianyi’s gaze was complex.
“Drink your milk and go to bed early.”
Mei Tian Sha Zi drank the milk and soon fell asleep.
Once Li Tianyi confirmed that Mei Tian Sha Zi was asleep, he changed into black clothes and sneaked out through the back door.
He didn’t drive or go far, just walked for ten minutes, drenched in sweat, before entering the most secluded house.
He opened the door and went inside, familiar with the way to the second floor.
The room was pitch black, so dark he couldn’t see his hand in front of his face.
“I’m here.” Li Tianyi’s voice was very gentle.
In the darkness, a cold woman’s voice responded: “Kneel.”
Without thinking, Li Tianyi knelt smoothly.
The woman slowly approached Li Tianyi, and with each step, Li Tianyi’s heart jumped.
The outdoor lights shone inside, illuminating Li Tianyi’s back; the rest of the room remained dark.
The woman’s hand caressed Li Tianyi’s face gently.
His heart hadn’t settled when a loud slap landed on his face.
Li Tianyi’s head was knocked to one side, and not a word of blame escaped his lips.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to protest, but he didn’t dare.
“Li Tianyi, you messed things up like this, and you still have the face to speak?” The woman’s voice was sharp, carrying the authority of a superior.
Li Tianyi knelt on the ground, his handsome face hidden in darkness, his expression unreadable.
“I wasn’t effective.”
“Just claiming you’re incompetent isn’t enough to make up for it? I’ve invested so much money in Hua Country; the lab is gone, and you didn’t manage the aftermath at Qing University. Li Tianyi, oh Li Tianyi, what use are you?”
Li Tianyi remained silent, unable to speak.
The woman struck him again: “Go back and think carefully about how you should repay me!”
Li Tianyi stood up slowly, his knees aching from kneeling.
As he walked back, bent over and moving slowly, Li Tianyi’s eyes glinted with murderous intent.
…
Morning.
Li Yehan woke Nan Qiao up.
“Qiaoqiao, let’s do the checkup on an empty stomach. We’ll go early, so we can eat right after.”
Nan Qiao climbed out from under the covers, letting out a sigh of reluctance as she really didn’t want to get up.
Li Yehan walked over, helped her dress, squatted down to put socks on her.
Nan Qiao quickly bundled her hair up, chaotic yet stylish.
Li Yehan took out a toothbrush, passed it to Nan Qiao to brush her teeth, then went downstairs to fetch the nutritious breakfast prepared in the kitchen.
Completing the checkup, they ate promptly.
Soon, they arrived at the hospital.
Nan Qiao laid down, and the doctor performed the checkup.
Holding the probe, the doctor was surprised: “Two kids, huh.”
The doctor checked Nan Qiao’s records; the previous checkup noted one baby.
Now two, the doctor was amazed, then congratulated them with a smile.
Nan Qiao was equally surprised: “Two? Last time my checkup showed only one!”
Li Yehan stood still, stunned, unable to speak for a moment.
Two?
Two?
The word ‘two’ echoed nonstop in Li Yehan’s mind, as though a reverberation.
Li Yehan truly hadn’t expected to end up with two children.
Twin treasures in one pregnancy.
If the grandpa knew about this, would he be so happy he’d pass on?
Li Yehan didn’t dare see it this way, he truly didn’t dare.
Nan Qiao was delighted continuously; upon seeing Li Yehan like a wooden figure, she chuckled.
The doctor teased them: “Your husband is so happy he can’t speak.”
The doctor wasn’t aware of Li Yehan’s identity, simply sensing the love between these two.
Nan Qiao tugged on Li Yehan’s hem, finally bringing the eagle-like man back to reality.
With eyes locked, Li Yehan’s eyes turned red, and just as Nan Qiao wanted to comfort him, the doctor spoke.
“I’ll do the checkup first.”
Li Yehan’s flushed lips pursed slightly, focusing on the computer screen, not understanding any of it.
“Qiaoqiao, let’s do the checkup.” Li Yehan’s voice was a bit hoarse.
Nan Qiao calmed her emotions, continuing to lie there for the doctor to conduct the checkup.
…
Li Yehan held the checkup results, accompanying Nan Qiao to the doctor to review them.
Nan Qiao and the children’s conditions were excellent; both children were developing well, healthy.
Li Yehan held the checkup results as Nan Qiao pushed him outside, realizing he was becoming increasingly abnormal.
Nan Qiao couldn’t help but laugh: “My dear husband, wake up. I’m just pregnant with twins, not Nezha, so why are you so nervous?”
Nan Qiao pushed Li Yehan onto a chair, took the checkup results from his hands, and placed them back in the folder.
“Li Yehan, are you dazed?” Nan Qiao pulled his hand.
Li Yehan was too surprised, never expecting to have two children.
“What? You never thought you’d be so capable?” Nan Qiao teased with a laugh.
Li Yehan couldn’t help but laugh, hugging Nan Qiao tightly, as if embracing the whole world.
“My Qiaoqiao is amazing too, getting pregnant with two at once, it’s too hard on you. Qiaoqiao, I don’t want you to be so worn out.” Li Yehan murmured, distressed.
“Hope the kids are good and don’t cause trouble.”
Li Yehan: “If they misbehave, I’ll spank them when they’re born.”
Nan Qiao withdrew from Li Yehan’s embrace, held his hand, and seriously said: “For now, let’s not tell our families about the twins. I’m afraid they’ll worry too much. You know my family and your grandfather are very anxious about my pregnancy. Any little disturbance, and the whole family’s unrest. The fewer people know about this, the better; what do you think?”
“I think you’re absolutely right, my Qiaoqiao always considers everything so thoroughly.”
Nan Qiao raised her red lips, her sweet smile impossible to conceal: “Then it’s settled.”
The two stood up and walked outside the hospital.
“I’ll take you to eat, eat more, and nourish yourself well.”
Li Yehan now wished for every nutritious thing in the world to be brought to Nan Qiao, so she could replenish her body properly.
The two left hand in hand, with a voice ringing behind them.
“Ye Han?” A woman’s voice full of surprise.
