From Your Backup to His Beloved
Be Honest 205
There must be a way, but should I take the risk if Josh didn’t dare to take it?
It was all right if it seeded, but if it failed, it was a minor matter Josh would never forgive me for a lifetime. He would probably die of sadness.
“Miss, there’s nothing you can do, right?” Molly took my silence as hopelessness.
She lowered her eyes, and her face filled with indescribable disappointment. “Even my
brother doesn’t dare to try because the risk is too high. I know no one is confident in my
situation now.”
Then Molly heaved a sigh of relief, looked up at me, and smiled.
It wasn’t that she changed her expression quickly, but she probably didn’t want her
emotions to affect my mood.
“Miss, it’s okay. I’m happy now. I’ll live as long as I can. Who knows? I might be able to live
to a hundred years old like this.”
It would have been better if Molly hadn’t said anything. The more she said, the more my
heart sank. I felt worse.
How could I bear to see such a beautiful youngdy lose hope? Hence, I coaxed her, “I have a doctor friend. She returned from studying abroad. She’s now a gynecologist, but many of her senior and junior schoolmates are medical experts. Some specialize in cardiology.”
“Really?” Molly’s eyes lit up instantly.
It was the light of hope,
“Of course. I’m here to see how you’re doing and get to know you better.” I was coaxing
Molly but also had the thought of helping her with the operation.
Although I knew it was risky, Molly’s eyes were filled with a desire for health.
Living was not her goal. She wanted to live a healthy and high–quality life.
Although she looked like she was living in a paradise on earth, having a life that many people dreamed of, how could she not yearn for the world outside the paradise?

She should also want to climb mountains and surf. She wanted to ride a bicycle and gallop across the vast world. She wanted to cheer with the person she loved.
However, she had a weak heart and could not do any of those. She could only hide there, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. She could not even get married, fall in love, or
have children.
She seemed to be free but was extremely lonely.
Otherwise, why would she have the time to collect dewdrops?
Molly did not collect dewdrops one by one. Instead, she collected the lonely time she had
nowhere to spend, and the regret of noting out.
“Really? Thank you, Miss.” She immediately raised her coffee cup and thanked me again.
“Really,” I answered her.
My words seemed to have shone a golden light on Molly’s life, making her super happy.
After drinking coffee with me in the courtyard, she took me into the house and even brought me to Josh’s room. “Miss, stay in my brother’s room. Look at how clean I’ve tidied
it up.”
It was indeed clean. Moreover, there were flowers and scenery when I pushed open the
window.
I put down my luggage and looked around the room. I saw several photos hanging on the
wall.
I had some pictures on my house wall because they were left behind by my parents. I didn’t
expect this room to have, too. I walked over and looked at them curiously.
“My brother said they are photos of my parents when they were young, but I don’t remember it.” Molly introduced them to me,
Those photos were old, and the way they were taken was the same as the ones on my
house wall,
At that time, Josh’s mother was holding a small child in her arms. Josh’s father was holding a big child in his arms. It was obvious the big child was Josh, and the small one was Molly.

upset.
I didn’t want my emotions to be affected, so I looked at another photo. I saw a boy carrying
a girl on his back in it. However, it was taken from behind, and only their back was.
captured.
“Is this Josh carrying you on his back?” I asked Molly.
Molly smiled. “No, he’s carrying his…”
The rest of her sentence suddenly stopped. I saw Molly stick out her tongue as if she felt she
had said something wrong.
I wasn’t stupid. I looked at the photo and smiled. “He was carrying his first love, wasn’t he?”
