“Don’t be mad, David,” said Audrey. “I was upset earlier, so I said a few things I shouldn’t have. I was standing up for you. When ites to status and position, you’re in no way inferior to Delh.
“Why is it that she was permitted to enter, while we were stopped at the door? It cannot be simply because Mr. Longley wishes to express his gratitude to Josie?”
David had been concerned about the matter. After hearing her words, he felt his heart sink to the bottom.
He thought, ‘If that is indeed the case, how can my newly initiated research project possiblypete with Delh’s?
‘Delh’s Reedshaw Acupuncture Technique …
‘No, absolutely not!‘
David pulled Audrey toward the elevator.
“Audrey, it appears that Mr. Longley will not meet with us. There is no need for us to remain here any longer. At present, we should focus our efforts on research. As long as we achieve results, we don’t need to worry about being ignored.”
As soon as he finished his words, the elevator doors opened. Upon seeing the neer, David and Audrey were both stunned.
“Mr. Nelson? Keh?” David paused momentarily and then slightly stepped
aside.
“Are you also here ito /ivisit Mr. Longley?” David added.
Several days had passed since theirst unpleasant parting, yet David appeared to have forgotten the embarrassment Keh had caused him at that time, greeting her with a natural andposed demeanor.
A cold smile appeared at the corner of Keh’s lips. ‘Mr. Longley has given instructions: no visitors are allowed to visit him during his hospitalization period. Professor Lawson, I wonder if you didn’t receive the message, or are you simply unwilling to let go?‘

“Keh!” Xander said in a low, urgent tone, “No more talking! Let’s go! Mr. Longley is still waiting for us.”
Xander strode towards the ward after nodding slightly to David and Audrey.
“Weren’t visits supposed to be prohibited? It’s understandable for Delh and Josic, but how were they allowed in as well?” said Audrey, who was iso /ifurious that she felt faint.
“David, could it be that Mr. Longley is targeting you? Otherwise, how could he have rejected your research applications twice in a row and now refuse to meet with you?”
David was already somewhat embarrassed by what Keh had said. After hearing Audrey’s pointed questions, he wished the ground would swallow him up.
He had not experienced such embarrassment in a long time.
“How should I know!” David swung his arm and, with a stern expression, entered
the elevator.
Audrey choked momentarily, nearly losing her breath. She thought, ‘What does he mean he doesn’t know either? It seems David may not be as impressive as people say.
‘Most sought–after university professor? Strongest medical student research team in the country? That’s not the case at all!
‘In the presence iof /iMr. Longley and Mr. Nelson, he is absolutely nothing!”
Audrey, who also looked pale, followed into the elevator.
After they left, Xander and Keh entered the ward.
Xandrov invited Xander and Keh to sit down, saying, “My father is currently receiving acupuncture treatment from Dr. Reedshaw, which will be finished in about ten to fifteen minutes. Please wait here for a moment.”
“There is no need to hurry. We arrived early.” Xander waved his hand and sat down at the coffee table outside the ward.

Keh then nced at Xandrov.
“Mr. Xandrov, you mentioned Mr. Longley is currently receiving acupuncture treatment from Dr. Reedshaw. Does it mean that acupuncture can truly treat cerebral infarction?”
Xandrov looked worried and said, “Yes, it was actually Dr. Markey’s insistence. Initially, we wanted to opt for surgical treatment, but my father is too old to bear the risks of surgery.
“Later, at Dr. Markey’s beg, Dr. Reedshaw employed acupuncture techniques to clear the meridians and dissolve the blood clots. Although the process was somewhat slow, it was the best choice for my father’s health.”Dr. Markey
Keh was somewhat incredulous and asked, “Beg?”
Xandrov smiled and said, “Indeed. As you are aware, after that incident years ago, the Reedshaw family ceased providing medical consultations to the nobility. Only those who have absolute trust in the Reedshaw acupuncture technique are exceptions.
“If I had not assured her that I would not question Reedshaw Acupuncture Technique regardless of whether the oue was good or bad, and even signed a written guarantee, Professor Wilcourt likely would not have agreed to make a house call.”
“So, was Mr. Longley saved by Reedshaw Acupuncture Technique at that time?” Xander blurted out a rather inappropriate question.
