A faint smile yed on Sean’s lips. “So?” Sean asked. So? How could Sean ask Josie such a question? Wasn’t it weird that he had just poured her drink into his ss?

Struck by a sudden thought, Josie turned scarlet red in the face, in the ear, and in the red…

“Hey, Josie, why is your face so red? Are you allergic to alcohol?” One of Josie’spanions shouted.

Josie was too coy to raise her head, so she randomly nodded. “Perhaps. I feel a bit tipsy.”

Instantly, she heard some hearty chuckles next to her ear. The chuckles were soft, low, and pleasant to hear. Like the pebbles, they caused ripples in theke of her heart.

Josie was a bit bewildered. What was wrong with her? Why was her heartbeat so fast all of a sudden? She must have been bewitched. By the chuckles, yes, by Sean’s chuckles, which were intoxicating.

Josie was so carried away that she failed to notice the bicker between Zoey and Colby.

“Let go!” Zoey said under breath, turned her head, and shot Colby a reproachful nce.

Colby ignored the order and sent a shrimp to Zoey’s te. “Try this.”

“Will you peel it for me?” Zoey raised her eyebrows at Colby.

Colby fell silent. What a bad choice! There were so many dishes on the table, so why had he chosen the troublesome shrimp?

This gathering was prepared by Josie’s roommates because they had made progress in the recent exams. They felt grateful to Josie for her recent help in their studies.

Colby, Sean, and Joseph volunteered to be the escorts of thedies because it was dangerous for women to wander around at night.

As expected, Josie and herpanions ran into three drunkards right out of their private room in the restaurant. One of the drunkards even charged at them.

“Josie, Josie, I am sorry… I learned my lesson. Can you forgive me?” Drunk, Kyle had an illusion. He mistook whoever he met for Josie and gave his apology again and again.

Josie felt dumbfounded when the alcohol made Kyle’s knees go weak before Zoey.

“I am not Josie. She is there.” Zoey withdrew her hand and moved aside. “Apologize to her. Given what you did, I don’t think you could get her forgivenessb./bb” /b

Josie quickly distanced herself from Kyle and said, “She is right.” Hearing this, the others chuckled.

In a trance, Kyle stretched his hands for Josie’s knees. “Josic, don’t leave. Forgive me, okay? Do you hate me so much? Can’t we be friends again?”

Before his hands touched the hem of Josie’s trousers, Sean kicked them away and said, “What a drunkard! Where are hispanions?”

There came the waiters. Gavin and Vincent came into view, intoxicated.

“Sorry, sorry!” The waiters apologized to Josie and herpanions repeatedly.

Gavin and Vincent attempted to unite with Kyle, but they were dragged away by a surge of

    waiters.

“Hey, wasn’t he expelled? Why is he here?” Allison nced at Kyle with a puzzled expression.

Adeline exined, “It is said that he came to go through the formalities. From tomorrow on, he won’t set foot on the campus anymore.”

“That will be great. He is just a disgrace to our university.” Josie’s roommates sounded angry.

Outside the restaurant, Joseph offered to escort his femalepanions back to their dormitory. Before Zoey gave a response, Colby pulled her away.

“What a gentleman! I need a talk with Zoey about work, so we will head straight to the library first,” Colby exined.

Sean looked at Josie and said, “Let’s go to theboratory. The professor told me to give you some advice about your experiment this afternoon.”

Josie felt speechless. Allison shifted her gaze from one couple to another and then concluded, “Well, I am the only woman who is single here.”

“You…” Josie turned her head to give her disagreement, but she was quickly dragged away by

    Sean

Josie seemed a bit unhappy. “Sean, why did you pull me away? I wanted a word with Allison.”

“Later, I am anxious.” Sean didn’t loosen Josie’s hand, and his hand subconsciously pulled his

    cor.

Thinking that Sean had other schedules, Josie said, “You should have told me. We could have left earlier. My friends wouldn’t mind.”

“What a little fool!” Sean sounded indignant. By the grove, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

    “Josie, I…”

Right then, Josic staggered into Sean’s arms. “Sean, I feel a bit dizzy.”

“What?” Sean was so angry he couldn’t help butugh.

Josie clutched the hem of Sean’s clothes and said, “Dizzy, I’m dizzy.”

She tilted her head back, and Sean lowered his head. His warm lips brushed against her slightly cool forehead. Instantly, both of them stood frozen.

His heart skipped a beat. By instinct, he wrapped his arm around her waist.

“Sean…” Josie gasped. “It hurts, it hurts so much! Sean, I’m in so much pain!”

Startled, Sean swiftly let go of Josie. “How? Why?” He then saw her tearful eyes and blushing cheeks.

“My whole body aches. My head… My head hurts badly. Sean, I feel terrible!” Josie clutched Sean’s clothes and huddled up in Sean’s embrace. Her body shivered uncontrobly…

“No way…” Agilely, Sean picked up Josie and ran out of the campus after something popped into mind. His passion waspletely forgotten.

It was soon confirmed that Josie was allergic to alcohol. She could use and smell alcohol, but not drink it. What a narrow escape!

Looking at the sleepy Josie, Sean was carried away by his passion again.

Recalling the small kiss in the grove, he leaned over, swallowed, and nted another kiss on her forehead.

This kiss couldn’t help at all. His heartbeat was still fast and uncontroble. He wanted more, more, and more.

His greedy gaze lingered on Josie’s red lips. He swallowed once, then again. He moved closer, closer, and closer…

When his lips were one inch away from the red ones, Josie kicked her nket and waved her hand. “Itchy…”

She pushed his head aside, turned over, and slept on. Leaning back in his chair, Sean keptughing.

He lost to Josie again, but there was no way out. The reason was that he loved her. He would patiently wait for her love.

The sunshine in early spring was warm. It prated through the window and warmed Sean.

Satisfied, Josie stretched. “What a good sleep!” She murmured before she opened her eyes.

    “Awake?” A captivating voice sounded.

Instantly, Sean opened her eyes with a jerk. “Sean? Sean! Why are you in my room?”

With a red face, she sat up and didn’t have the guts to look at Sean. Her phone rang before Sean gave his answer.

Sean reached for the phone. “A call from Zoey. Answer it. Perhaps something is up. I will go get you the medicine.”

Only then did Josie find that she was in the hospital. However, she didn’t know why.

‘The alcoholst night was great. It has been quite a long time since I had such a good sleepst time,’ she thought.

Then, she answered the call. “Zoey, what’s wrong?”

Over the phone, Zoey sounded agitated. “Come now! Something bad happened!”
