Emotions could be so unpredictable. Josie was startled by the frantic pounding in her chest.

She entered Delh’s office as if escaping something, not daring to look back.

She couldn’t allow herself these reckless fantasies. Sean only saw bher /bbas /ba little sister. How could she be so presumptuous as to develop feelings for him?

This ispletely inappropriate. Given my status, how can I possibly dare to like someone as privileged as the prince–like Sean?‘ she thoughtb. /b

Watching her hurried retreat, Sean fell deep in thought. “Did the little girl notice something? I might have. gotten a bit too close just now. Oh, I lost control for a moment‘

Sean, concerned bthat /bhe might have startled Josie, quickly followed her into the room, intending to offer an apology.

Upon entering. Josie appeared calm andposed, showing no signs of being frightened. She was attentively listening bas /bDelh assigned her homework.

Sean found a ce to sit by himself and waited for the two of them to finish speaking.

“This semester, you will directly enroll in the third–year coursework. If you sessfully pass, you willplete all undergraduate requirements for the acupuncture major next semester.

“If your progress remains strong. I will arrange for you to intern at Aloville Traditional Medicine Hospital during the final half–semester. This will provide you with increased patient contact and benable /byou to transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills.”

Delh was developing a career n for bJosie/b.

She added, “Of course, this is just my suggestion. If you don’t want to or have other bideas/b, just let me know.”

Josie looked down at the bcourse /bschedule Delh bhad /bgiven her. I’m willing. But I did promise to pursue a double major. During the finals period, I might need a few days off to take my cytology exams.”

Delh frowned bslightly/b. “You were able to achieve first ce in your gradest semester because you had studied the fourth–year material bahead /bof time. However, bfrom /bnow on, your efforts must be focused on

    acupuncture.

“From my perspective, and considering the intensity of the course schedule I have arranged for you, I do not believe you have the energy bto /balso pursue another bmajor/b. You need to decide which degree to prioritize.”

Josie looked determined. “I believe I can handle both majors. After all, I’ve already studied cytology up to the third year of graduate school. I believe getting a bachelor’s degree won’t be a problem. I promise it won’t interfere with my acupuncture studies. Please, let me take the exams.”

“Third year bof /bgraduate school?” Delh was slightly surprised. “I underestimated you.”

She smiled and said, “As the exam approaches, I will ask Professor Hacker to prepare several sets of cytology

She had been worried Delh would oppose hermitment to the double major. After all, Delh’s goal bwas /bclear: to take on a final disciple, fully dedicated to inheriting her knowledge of acupuncture.

Josie learned from Zoey that while the Reedshaw family heir may have many students, there bwas /bonly one true disciple.

The first andst, the one who would learn theplete Reedshaw medical band /bacupuncture techniques.

That disciple was originally meant to be ire, but Josie’s arrival had led ire to step aside. Now, Delh was investing all her energy into Josie.

For Josie to give up halfway or have ulterior motives would be a betrayal of that trust, especially since Delh had given her a choice.

Josie would never hurt Delh, much less betray her.

“Go ahead. If you have any questions about your studies, feel free toe to me at any time.” Delh handed the organized study materials to Josie.

Josie took it, put it into her backpack, and walked out

“Wait for me outside. I need to talk to you!” Sean called out to her.

Josie felt a bit guilty and didn’t dare look at him. She lowered her head, staring at her feet. ‘Oh, hurry up. I have another ss soon!

It was ba /bflimsy excuse to make a quick escape.
