CHAPTER 167- FAMILY DRAMA(2)

The situation was awkward.

They all have returned home.

What Mira and Shiori saw in the hotel room left no room for doubt.

Kosuke and Minoru were in a relationship, but not familial. They are in a sexual relationship.

Mira and Shiori had been silent the whole time as they returned home in a cab.

She has been suspicious of her husband for some time now. She was initially guilty of hiring a detective but considering how much he paid attention to her recently, and how their sex life improved out of the blue, she knew there was something going on

She wasn't a naive woman. She knew that if her husband had become so active in their relationship then surely he was receiving something from an external source.

And as she thought he indeed was having an affair...but she never thought it would be with Minoru.

Now, they all were seated in the living room.

Shiori was not as shocked as her mother for some reason...not only because she knew Minoru's origin but also because she suspected things.

Not so long before they went on the trip, she heard some sounds from Minoru's room that didn't belong to him alone, and those sounds indicated that he was having sex. Now, since their mother was out of the house and no one else walked in, and also since their father couldn't be found anywhere in the house she somehow knew it.

But until now, it was just a hunch...however, today, all her doubts got clear.

Shiori glanced at Minoru, thinking what he would say. Rather than thinking, she was hoping that he would say something here; otherwise, there was a high chance their family would break apart today.

Minoru finally got up from his seat and stood in the middle of the living room from where everyone could see him.

"...huh?" The first one to react was Mira as she caught Minoru's face changing, his skin color turning darker, and two horns appearing on his head. All his clothes were shredded because of the sudden shift of his size and only a minimal amount of cloth remained hanging down his waist to cover his groin.

His eyes were bright red and a whipping tail behind his back.

This was the first time even for Shiori to look at this form. Although she already knew that as an Incubus, he must have a different form...looking at him right now left her flabbergasted.

Minoru calmly stood there and told them, "This is my reality...something only Shiori knew about. I am not a human, Mom...Dad...I am a demon."

Mira and Kosuke couldn't say a word that much they were shocked at the moment.

...their son, whom they raised with all love and affection was actually a demon?

Minoru's eyes were drawn to the ground as he continued, "Mom...you can blame me for seducing Dad. I was the one who approached him and seduced him through my powers. I tried to do the same with you. And Shiori too...so please, blame me for what you saw today."

Minoru dreaded nothing more than to see this family breaking apart. The whole reason he was ready to go against the Vanquishers rather than escape was to be with his family and to keep them protected.

Raising his eyes which were filled with honesty and grief, he said, "But Mom...Dad...I never intended to harm you. I never wanted you to break apart. I always wanted to be together with you all, and that is a fact no one can change."

Their shock slowly subdued as Mira and Kosuke looked at Minoru with a complicated gaze.

There was a lot on their mind to put their finger on a single thought.

That's why, Minoru said, "I will give you all some space to digest this fact...and once you do, please let me know your decision."

Minoru turned around, and under their astonished gaze, he opened the sliding door and jumped out—before disappearing in the next instance.

Shiori rushed towards the door but it was too late.

He was already gone.

[Minoru's POV:]

I was...lost. I couldn't think of anything at the moment.

Things happened not in the way I anticipated. I wanted to reveal things about myself and the relationships I have with others slowly to them.

That's why I even asked Dad to meet me today...I wanted to first tell him so we can, together with Shiori, inform Mom as well.

However, everything flipped upside down. Mom arrived at the hotel room and...

"Will they even accept me back in the family..." I know my family won't get rid of me because they love me...but I am a demon—a trouble magnet.

They know nothing about the demonic world or what demons could be...that's why, they must be thinking that I am an inhumane creature that doesn't deserve to live.

I know I might be over-exaggerating things a little...but in my current mood, I couldn't think anything straight.

*Bzzz*

I heard the buzzing of my phone which ushered me to take it out.

It was from Shiori.

[Where are you? Please return home.]

She was anxious about me...that made me feel a little better. Even though, in a way I betrayed her by not telling her about my relationship with Dad, she was still concerned about me.

Taking a deep breath, I responded,

[I am at Akisu's place. Don't worry about me.]

I really didn't want to return there right now...at least until they don't make a decision.

And if they actually decide to split...I don't know what I would do.

"Ah!" Suddenly bumped into someone, breaking my daze.

"Why are you doing here?" It was a familiar woman...

It was Yuna.

"I...I was just roaming around a bit..." I replied, unsure of what I should say.

"Hey, are you crying?" She suddenly approached me slightly leaning towards me to see my face clearly.

I took a strong gulp and shook my head, "No...I am not..."

"Like hell, I'd believe you. Come with me and tell me the whole story." She didn't even think twice before pulling me toward her apartment.

It was strange that the woman who wanted to kill me the last time we met...was eager to hear my problems.
