Chapter 50: Sean vs Stage-2 out-worlder II
CHAPTER 50: SEAN VS STAGE-2 OUT-WORLDER II
Seraphina moved like the wind, twin daggers in her hands, as she circled the two grotesquely naked, big cat-like out-worlders that were attacking her.
Each flash her arm, left deep gashes and lacerations on thier skins from which their foul blood flowed out, only for the wound to start closing after a while, sinew and tissue growing back into place in real time.
Her expression was relaxed, and her lips curled slightly, as though she was enjoying a play, but the efficiency of her slashes and footwork, didn’t seem to sell the same trope.
DING!
The device strapped against her wrist gave off a notification bell, vibrating slightly against her palm.
’Hmmm?’
She jumped back, putting distance between herself and the out-worlders, while her gaze flickered to her wrist.

"Oh?" She exclaimed lightly, as she jumped back, a clawed paw slamming the ground where she was.
Her gaze darkened as she stared at the two unrelenting creatures. Feeling irritated for some reason.
If she knew there was something like achievements and announcements like this, she’d have made quick work of these out-worlders, and probably be on her way to killing her number sixth if they were I’m close proximity, and she was fast enough.
"I guess that’s what you get for playing too much," she sighed.
The next instant, her shadow shifted unnaturally, and she vanished from her position, appearing at the rear of one of the out-worlders, blade drawn.
Her eyes glowed green, as she slashed, tearing open the creature’s neck and spine in a single bound.
Unsatisfied, she took a step forward, and with an inverse grip, plunged the blade deep into the creature’s neck, cutting off its airways, and effectively killing it off.
She vanished again, as the second one crashed on her previous location.
In the same instant, she reappeared at its rear, throwing a mouthful of spit on her blade, and then slashed with it, tearing into the creature’s body and moving away.
Blood pumped out of the wound and the creature trashed about in pain, an action it was only displaying for the first time.
"Still works on them... Good enough." She nodded, feeling satisfied, as the creature collapsed, its breathing strained, as though air refused to rush into its lungs.
Yet, even on its dying breaths, the creature still struggled towards her, dragging its body slowly towards her, while it came closer and closer to death.
After a few struggling steps, it stopped moving, paralysis finally immobilizing it completely, while its respiratory problems continued until it couldn’t breathe anymore and died.
Instantly...
DING!
"Oh? Did I get an achievement for playing with them?" She mused.
However, her expression changed the next second.

Seraphina’s expression darkened as she read through the different notifications.
"I see..." She muttered lightly... Though her eyes spoke of anything but.
’Let’s see... If opening up the leaderboards merited a reward, and being the first to kill a Stage-2 did same, then...’
Her eyes suddenly shined, and she flickered from her location.
---
Sean evaded the blow, feeling the massive wind brush against his face, whipping both his hair and head back.
Before he could regain his footing, the other fist slammed into him, knocking the wind completely out of him, and throwing his body away like a ragdoll.
He crashed unto the hard caked and cracked soil, feeling his chest tighten in immense pain. Blood poured out of the side of his mouth, and his breathing felt like grasping for straws.
"Ughhh" he grunted through gritted teeth, trying to suppress himself from letting out a cry of pain.
There was no time to nurse his wounds however, as he rolled away the next second, feeling his chest tighten from the sudden surge of pain that came as a result of his movement.
BOOMM!!
The giant fist slammed into his previous position, line of fissures cracking the earth, blowing his hair back, and throwing soil on his face.
He could feel his pulse racing in his heart, his entire body hairs standing on end, and an irritating tingly sensation in his head, as though an insect was clawing his brain, as what he believed to be his third affinity, warned him about approaching death.
He instantly paused his rolling, rolling back to the other direction he came from, as the second fist impacted the ground, cracking it even further, and causing the ground beneath his head to almost completely split open.
Without any consideration for his mana reserves, he unleashed a continuous streak of lightning on the open chest of the creature that was now hunched above him, until it began to spasm from shock.
With hurried movements he pulled away from his position underneath the partially stunned creature, rising painfully to his feet.
His ribs ached, and he was sure he had broken a few, and maybe even injured his lungs with how difficult breathing had become.
Advancing forward, he forwent trying to conserve mana, as he punctured the unprotected eyes of the creature that had by its own actions, reduced itself to his height range.
Before the out-worlder could recover, he channelled in a dense amount of lightning into its head through the opening where its beady eyes used to be.
The creature trembled, feeling its delicate nerves overloaded till they were fried, the mushy mass that formed its brain, following next.
Its body jerked fiercely, almost ripping Sean’s arms off his shoulders, before it twitched twice, and then stilled... Dropping to the ground dead, as Sean withdrew his hands.
Sean breathed heavily, his eyes still focused darkly on the Stage-2 out-worlder’s form.
DING!
The device on his wrist alerted for the second time, drawing his darkened gaze to his wrist.
