So, he didn’t want Lu Xingzhi to go through that.

"Thank you." Apart from these three words, Lu Xingzhi didn’t know how else to express her gratitude.

"Between you and me, there’s never a need for those three words." Huo Jincheng’s sharp eyebrows softened, his gentle eyes smiling.

Whenever he faced Lu Xingzhi, he was always like the warm sun in winter, keeping her heart forever warm.

When they got home and were about to change clothes, Lu Xingzhi suddenly called out to Huo Jincheng.

Before she could finish, Huo Jincheng’s phone rang.

"Go ahead and take the call. I’ll head to the room to change." Lu Xingzhi went into the room, breathed a sigh of relief, and decided to save it for next time.

Bertrand was very disappointed about this; one of his reasons for finding Lu Xingzhi was her future.

"No matter what, I support you. It’s okay." Huo Jincheng held Lu Xingzhi’s hand tightly; he knew her struggles.
