(Eren’s PoV)

“Heavenly Decapitation!” Sumeragi exclaimed.

I used the Dark Purple Flowing Wall skill to parry his long-range attack and throw it towards the ceiling though. Then, I used Killer’s Juggle skill to throw multiple rubber balls towards him in a confusing pattern.

“Coiling Dragon!” However, he moved his sword with a skill that left a dragon-like aftereffect from its movement and blocked my attack.

“Not bad, boy!” I exclaimed while still running from him.

“Just how many corridors does this mansion has? It feels like we’ve been running for eternity…” He asked me.

“A mafia base will, of course, have some secrets, fool!” I told him.

“I guess I shouldn’t have expected a proper answer…” He commented while sighing.

“You know, the base is only like that because a certain madwoman blew up the original mansion of the city’s lord…” I said.

“… I’m sorry.” He replied.

Well… At least he seems to feel a bit of guilt from it, since he was involved in the attack that made her blow up the whole place… It’s nice that someone has a bit of sense.

However… “If you’re sorry, then leave! This is the new home for the lord now! And you’re invading it! Moonlight Rabbits!” I exclaimed.

“Flying Z Cut!” He used his sword to start cutting the purple flying rabbits that I threw at him… However, their real goal wasn’t to hit him directly, but to instead throw even more rubber balls in even harder to keep up patterns than before! “Agh! “You keep on looking more and more stupid each time you’re hit!” I told him while laughing, “What now? Are you going to cry to your mom?”

He had stopped running for a bit and seemed to be shaking, so I taunted him like that, though he was probably just angry and frustrated at it… But then, he exclaimed, “Y-you dummy! I’m really angry now!”

“Eh…?” Wait, was he trying to insult me or something? Is that the best he can come up with?

“Prepare yourself!” He shouted… Just how old is this knight captain again? He really feels like a child now, “Body Transcendence: Sacred Knight!”

“Oh… Did I go too far?” I tried throwing one of the leftover poisonous smoke bombs that Rena left here, but Sumeragi created a strong wind that scattered the poison gas, “Guess it can’t be helped then… Body Permeation: Moonlight Cover”

“Eh…!? Bo-Body Transcendence: Storm Knight!” He used next. Seems like he was surprised I could also strengthen myself.

“Body Sublimation: Laughing Clown!” I used next.

“Spiritual Transcendence: Divine Guidance!” He used.

“Spiritual Sublimation: Emotional Outburst!” I used.

As we strengthened ourselves, we were still running through the narrow corridors and throwing attacks at one another.

“Ex Enchantment: Physical Might; Ex Enchantment: Physical Barrier; Ex Enchantment: Accelerate; Ex Enchantment: Sacred Brilliance; Ex Enchantment: Regeneration Storm” He used all those next, so I followed suit.

“Ex Enchantment: Physical Might; Ex Enchantment: Accelerate; Ex Enchantment: Dexterity; Ex Enchantment: Evil Spirit; Ex Enchantment: Conqueror’s Flame” Were my strengthening skills.

Our attacks were becoming more and more intense with each strengthening skill that we used. Even the rubber balls were starting to shave off a part of the walls and ceiling when they bounced on those. Not to mention how much damage Sumeragi’s sword swings caused… It’s good that this guy has some common sense, differently from that madwoman, or this building would have collapsed by now.

“Divine Oath: Laughter in the dark night!” I also didn’t hold back.

“Divine Oath: I am the shield of the empire!” He finished his oath.
