Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue
Chapter 328: 328: The Forbidden Spells
"These spells can actually be upgraded. After upgrading, their coverage area and even their power will increase," Ryen explained, adding,
"Of course, what you upgrade is the staff, not the spell itself. You can choose to enhance the staff's mana condensation, allowing mana to recover much faster."
"You can also choose to upgrade mana storage, which increases your mana capacity."
"Mana leech from killing enemies, spell duration extension, spell cooldown, spell range…"
"Even spell slots—allowing you to equip up to eight spells."
"For example, mine has undergone two mana condensations, which is already a pretty solid upgrade choice."
Ryen couldn't help but show off his Thunder Staff again.
Everyone rolled their eyes in unison.
Lisa, looking over her densely filled notebook, whispered,
"Healing, damage, defense, effects, curses, buffs… these spells really cover everything. Even if you can only equip five at a time, that's still insanely powerful."
"I'm really starting to want to find a Druid to get a staff for myself."
Ryen was about to respond when Lisa added,
"By the way, these master-level spells all deal area damage. Are all master-level spells like this?"
Ryen paused for a moment and shook his head.
"It's just that the spells in the Twilight Forest are too few."
"If it were the full Wizardry Mod, wow, then it would be overpowered."
"Pyro: Inferno Meteor, summon blazing meteors—instant death on impact; summon Phoenix, Flame Dragon's Breath, Flame Hunter…"
"Cryo: Ice Age, massive forced freeze, Winter Fortress, summon Frost Giants…"
"Electro: Thunder Hammer, Thousand Thunders' Roar…"
"Necro: Zombie Apocalypse, Dark Plague, Possession…"
"Nature/Earth: Forest Curse, Earthquake's Might…"
"Arcane: Black Hole, Time Dilation…"
"Healing: Immortal Hero, Falling Star's Radiance…"
"For each of the seven elements, there are thirty-six master-level spells, all powerful enough to be called Forbidden Spells. Offensive spells can often kill instantly. They're truly terrifying."
Everyone didn't fully understand what each spell did, but the names alone were enough to know how dangerous they were—summoning phoenixes, triggering earthquakes, creating black holes, even manipulating time itself.
If someone mastered these abilities… could they defeat the Archons? Maybe not. But at the very least, the Archons wouldn't be able to defeat them!
"So, Time Dilation—is that really the Time Dilation I imagined?"
Venti asked seriously, looking at Ryen, who nodded.
"Once released, all time within a certain radius slows down, whether it's enemies or their attacks…"
"You know what that means, right?"
Zhongli nodded seriously.
"Attacks across space-time can't reach us, but we can easily strike them."
Ryen chuckled lightly.
"That's not all. If you wear a Unique Pocket Watch, after casting, the surrounding space-time will completely stop."
"I don't think this ability needs further explanation."
"Although the Time Dilation spell doesn't deal direct damage, it's stronger than any other spell that does."
"This is a true Forbidden Art."
"And if you combine it with upgrades to the staff's range and duration…"
Ryen shrugged.
"Who knows? Once Time Dilation is released, it might freeze the space-time of an entire kingdom."
"But that kind of power is far beyond us. For now, it's something we can only look at from afar."
"Best to just honestly go to the Twilight Forest, kill some Druids, and get a few staffs."
This time, everyone's excitement was a lot more subdued.
It wasn't surprising. Hearing about all those powerful spells in the full Wizardry Mod, and then looking at the so-called master-level spells in the Twilight Forest Expansion Pack…
Those "master-level spells" barely counted! How could they even be grouped in the same category as Time Dilation?
It was almost insulting to true Forbidden Spells.
Still, no matter what, everyone had to thoroughly explore the Twilight Forest.
You can't craft staffs—they can only be obtained by killing Druids.
And even if the spells in the Twilight Forest were weaker, they still dealt significant elemental damage. Combine that with elemental reactions, and their effects in Teyvat would still be quite strong.
Plus, there were weird spells like Necro Magic and Healing Magic.
And on top of that, staffs increase everyone's overall power…
Staffs are absolutely a must-get!
As for spell combinations, that could wait.
Ryen wasn't completely satisfied with his current Thunder Staff either. Once obtained, he could naturally start being picky.
At the very least, the Necro Page spell seemed useless.
His plan was to keep Black Hole, Explosive Fireball, and Lich Barrier, then replace the rest with Snow Cloud Chariot and Annihilation Beam.
But those two spells weren't easy to obtain either. It all came down to luck.
And speaking of luck…
With Ganyu in his left arm and Klee sitting in his lap, who else in this world could possibly be luckier than him?
