Pocketing the Water Stone, Lin Feng headed toward the orchard. As he began feeding each of his Pokémon, he called down the Pidgeottos and Pidgeys perched on the pine trees to give them energy cubes as well.

"Pidg~!" (Food time!)

"Pidgey~!" (Yay~!)

"Pidg~!" (Smells amazing~!)

"Pidg~!" (I'm so clever for thinking of this way to get more energy cubes~!)

Watching the cheerful Pidgeottos and Pidgeys eat, Lin Feng nodded with satisfaction. These Pidgeottos were taking their delivery training seriously. In just two days, they'd learned not to deliver to the wrong locations within a hundred-mile radius. Once they became more familiar with Wutong City, they'd be ready to enter the courier business full-time.

As he observed them, Lin Feng's expression shifted slightly.

Wait a minute... didn't he originally have ten Pidgeottos and ten Pidgeys?

Why did it look like there were now eleven Pidgeottos?

Did an extra one show up on its own?

He glanced at the Pidgey group still ten of them. None had evolved overnight.

Could it be that Pidgeot had recommended a new Pidgeotto?

Just as Lin Feng was about to activate his [Appraisal Eye] to find the odd one out, Gardevoir suddenly appeared beside him holding a glass jar.

"Garde~" (We're out of energy cubes.)

That instantly distracted Lin Feng. "Ah, I forgot to tell you you don't need to conserve them. I made plenty over the last two days."

He pulled out a fresh batch of energy cubes from his storage capsule.

"Garde~" (Thanks~)

Accepting the cubes, Gardevoir glanced down at the feeding Pidgeottos and Pidgeys. After a moment, she paused and blinked in surprise.

"Gardevoir?" (There's an extra Pidgeotto?)

If they were gaining one Pidgeotto per night, that pace would be unsustainable.

"No... wait, let me take a look."

Noticing the concern in Gardevoir's tone, Lin Feng smiled awkwardly. He stared at the feeding Pidgeottos, then his smile slowly froze.

Recent events, the sudden appearance of an extra Pidgeotto, and even Mewtwo's visit not long ago...

All these things connected in his mind.

A certain image formed one of a small, hairless feline Pokémon.

Could it be... that mythical Pokémon?

The one that loved wandering the world more than anything else...

With a nagging suspicion, Lin Feng activated his [Appraisal Eye].

After examining each Pokémon carefully, the corner of his mouth twitched.

The "Pidgeotto" looked up at Lin Feng, a bit confused. It was confident that its transformation was flawless.

Satisfied with that explanation, "Pidgeotto" went back to munching on energy cubes without a care in the world.

He hadn't even checked his Joy System rewards the past few days due to everything going on.

Now that he took a look, he noticed an extra supreme-grade Rare Candy and eight packs of premium Miracle Fertilizer.

"Gardevoir?" Gardevoir's puzzled voice snapped him out of it.

Lin Feng raised his right hand. "I swear, this is the only new Pidgeotto that's shown up recently. No more surprise additions, I promise..."

In the end, he decided not to out Mew.
