A single sentence left Mu Yuxun speechless.

The eyes of all the classmates widened, especially Li Yin, whose face was a picture of disbelief. Has the school flower gone crazy?

Wang Qi approached with a dark expression and said to Mu Yuxun, "Yu Xun, if he won’t go, I’ll take you. I’ll protect you."

Mu Yuxun was speechless. She was the school flower, after all, yet Chu Hao showed her no respect whatsoever.

A wall had been built on the back hill to prevent students from entering. It wasn’t very high, so the group found some objects to help them climb over. Wang Qi patted his chest. "Don’t be scared, Yu Xun, I’m here. Liu Chan, go check out that half-buried coffin and see if there’s anything inside."

Mu Yuxun rolled her eyes. She wasn’t worried; with Chu Hao around, she actually hoped a ghost would appear so she could see him catch it.

Liu Chan’s face twisted. "Brother Qi, I... my stomach hurts."

Wang Qi kicked him and cursed, "Damn it! You’re useless."

Seeing a real coffin, who wouldn’t be afraid? No one dared to approach.

The others started to back away—it was clear they couldn’t be relied upon. Wang Qi then said, "Chu Hao, you go check it out."

Chu Hao, arms folded, scoffed, "I’m not your lackey. You’re quite comfortable ordering me around, aren’t you?"

Wang Qi’s face darkened. Truthfully, he didn’t dare go over either. Who knew if there was still half a corpse inside?

Chu Hao said, "With guts that small, you still want to hunt for treasure? If I were you, I’d hurry home."

"You!" Wang Qi was livid, wondering how this kid could be so audacious as to dare talk back to him.

Chu Hao strode over, showing no fear, which made many of the girls’ eyes brighten.

There was nothing inside the coffin. If there had been anything, it wouldn’t have escaped his notice. Finding it pointless to stay without any ghosts, he turned to leave.

Seeing Chu Hao turn to leave, Wang Qi let out a sigh of relief. Putting on a brave front, he walked over and said, "It’s just a coffin."

As he spoke, he even kicked it with his foot.

"CRACK!"

The coffin lid splintered, and some tiny, shiny black bugs crawled out.

"Crap!" Wang Qi jumped in fright.

The black bugs, with their strong jumping ability, leaped onto Wang Qi’s nose and bit down hard.

"AAAH!!"

Wang Qi screamed miserably, rolling on the ground while everyone else, terrified, turned and ran.

"Brother Qi!" Liu Chan was too scared to approach, his face pale.

Chu Hao was amused, folding his arms and watching Wang Qi yell.

Chu Hao spoke up, "Idiot, they’re just fleas. They won’t kill you."

Hearing this, the others gave Wang Qi strange looks. What a coward! Getting so scared by mere fleas that he wet his pants!

Once Wang Qi heard this and carefully recalled, the bugs did indeed resemble fleas. His face became extremely unsightly.

Wang Qi’s face flushed red. To think he’d actually wet his pants because of a few fleas! It was utterly humiliating.

Li Yin laughed so hard his stomach hurt. "Haha... That’s hilarious! Wang Qi, you’re really something else, peeing your pants because of fleas!"

Liu Chan and the others couldn’t help but want to laugh, but seeing Wang Qi glaring at them, they quickly hid their amusement, their faces turning red from the effort.

Enraged, Wang Qi pointed at Chu Hao and shouted, "You knew they were fleas! Why didn’t you tell me sooner?"

Chu Hao chuckled. "You wet your pants out of fear, and now you’re blaming me? Besides... why should I tell you?"

Wang Qi was so furious he felt a stab of pain in his side. Glaring at Chu Hao with a cold expression, he threw a punch.

Chu Hao sidestepped and neatly tripped him. Wang Qi fell forward, getting a mouthful of mud. His lip split and immediately started bleeding.

Liu Chan and the others, shocked and angry, rushed forward to surround Chu Hao, glaring at him menacingly.

"You want to fight, don’t you?" Li Yin said angrily.

Wang Qi scrambled up, furious, tears of pain in his eyes. He roared, "Get him!"

Chu Hao scoffed, ready to teach Wang Qi a lesson.

Suddenly, an icy voice interjected, "What are you all doing?"

A few men wearing safety helmets approached. They had heard Wang Qi’s shouts earlier and came over to investigate, finding several students there.

One of them was the school’s Vice Principal, Zhang Dehua.

Seeing Zhang Dehua, everyone gasped and felt the urge to bolt.

"Stand still! Anyone who runs will be expelled!" Zhang Dehua said angrily.

The frightened students immediately froze, heads bowed, not daring to speak.

Wang Qi, his lip split and bleeding profusely, pointed at Chu Hao and whined, "Vice Principal Zhang, he hit me!"

Wang Qi was quick to play the victim.
