Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 855: Details
CHAPTER 855: CHAPTER 855: DETAILS
A short while later, she stood in front of the mirror, dressed in a simple but elegant black dress. It wasn’t too fancy, it had a casual design, but on her, it looked amazing.
Her long silver hair flowed down her back, the color standing out perfectly against the dark dress. Her skin looked pale and flawless, and her eyes seemed to glow under the sunlight.
Even the stylists whispered, "She looks like a goddess..."
Yu Holea looked at her reflection and frowned slightly.
"...Are you sure nothing weird is going on?"
Qiao Li just smiled again.
"You’ll see."
Soon, Yu Holea and Qiao Li arrived at the Qiao Mansion.
The moment they stepped inside the gates, Yu Holea stopped walking. Her eyes widened in surprise.
The entire mansion was decorated with red lanterns, flowers, golden banners, and colorful lights. It looked festive, like a wedding was about to happen.
Yu Holea frowned. "Strange..." she whispered.
Yesterday, when she had come to this mansion, it looked completely normal. No decorations. No signs of celebration.
But now, it looked like a big event was happening. What could it be?
Suddenly, a strange feeling hit her. Her heart started beating a little faster.
Could it be...?
Feeling a mix of confusion and excitement, Yu Holea walked inside with Qiao Li beside her.
As they reached the large living room, Yu Holea was surprised again.
Both her own family members and the entire Qiao family were sitting inside the room, smiling and chatting. Everyone looked cheerful, like they were waiting for someone important.
The moment they saw Yu Holea enter, everyone turned to look at her.
Mrs. Qiao stood up with a warm smile on her face. "Come here, child. Sit beside me."
Yu Holea nodded politely and went to sit next to her.
Even though Mrs. Qiao was supposed to be her mother-in-law, their relationship had always been different.
Mrs. Qiao had taken care of her for nearly three years when she was younger. She treated Yu Holea more like a daughter than a daughter-in-law.
Seeing Yu Holea sit comfortably next to Mrs. Qiao, her own mother, Mrs. Yu, finally relaxed. She smiled softly, happy that her daughter was in a good home.
Still, she looked at the Qiao family and asked with a confused expression, "All this... what’s going on? Why didn’t anyone tell me about this earlier?"
Mrs. Qiao let out a small laugh. "We wanted to tell you. But even we just got to know about it yesterday. He was worried that we would have stopped him if he told us everything. "
"Stopped who?" Yu Holea asked, now completely confused.
Mrs. Qiao gave her a sly smile. "Qiao Jun, of course."
Yu Holea blinked. "What did he do?"
Mrs. Qiao gave a sheepish laugh. "He made all the arrangements for the wedding. It’s going to be held tomorrow."
Yu Holea’s eyes grew wide. "What? Tomorrow?!"
She stood up in shock. "How is that even possible? We... we only talked about getting married two weeks ago!"
Then she paused, realizing what she had just said. Her heart skipped a beat.
Mrs. Qiao raised an eyebrow. "Two weeks ago?"
Yu Holea quickly sat back down and tried to stay calm. "I mean... yeah, we just had a talk about it two weeks ago. That’s all."
Mrs. Qiao nodded slowly. "Ah, I see... I thought you knew more. But it’s fine. He wanted to keep it a surprise."
Yu Holea sighed and smiled a little. "He’s really one of a kind... always doing things his way."
Mrs. Qiao laughed.
"That’s exactly what I told him. I tried to stop him, believe me. But he already planned everything. The food, the guests, the decorations. Only the wedding dress, rings, and a few small things are left. He said he wanted you to decide those today."
Yu Holea shook her head, still smiling in disbelief. "So sneaky... he didn’t tell me anything."
"But he wanted it to be perfect," Mrs. Qiao said gently. "He wanted this wedding to be something special. Something just for you."
Yu Holea’s heart felt warm. She didn’t expect this. She had thought their marriage would be quiet and simple. Maybe just a small ceremony after a few months.
But now, everything was happening so fast. And yet... she wasn’t upset.
Instead, she felt touched.
Maybe this was what happiness felt like, being surrounded by people who cared for you, by a man who loved you deeply and showed it in his own special way.
Just then, the large door to the hall opened, and Qiao Jun walked in with a bright smile on his face.
He looked straight at Yu Holea and asked excitedly, "So? How was your surprise?"
Yu Holea stood up slowly and looked at him calmly. Her expression didn’t match his excitement.
"It wasn’t good," she said softly.
Qiao Jun’s smile froze. His eyes widened. "What? Why? What happened?" he asked quickly, walking toward her in worry.
Yu Holea crossed her arms and looked at him with a disappointed gaze.
"You did everything by yourself, Qiao Jun. You planned the entire wedding without me. I feel like I’m not even a part of my own wedding."
Her words were gentle, but they hit him hard.
Qiao Jun’s heart dropped. Panic filled his chest.
"No! Holea, don’t think that way. I... I only wanted to give you a surprise. I didn’t mean to leave you out. I saved all the important parts just for you, like the dress, the rings, and the guest list. You were always in my heart."
Yu Holea shook her head slightly. "Even so... I’m not happy," she whispered.
With that, she turned slightly as if she was about to walk away.
Qiao Jun’s eyes went wide in shock. No, if she walked away now, he knew he might never get her back.
Without thinking, he ran toward her and hugged her tightly from behind.
"I’m sorry. I’m really, really sorry," he said again and again. "Please don’t leave. I can’t lose you..."
Yu Holea stayed still for a moment... then let out a soft chuckle.
She turned her head slightly and smirked. "You’re really a fox, Qiao Jun. But when it comes to me... such a naive fox."
Qiao Jun blinked. "Huh?"
He stared at her. Then he realized she had been teasing him the whole time!
He let out a breath and gently pinched her waist. "You little trickster," he said with a low laugh.
Yu Holea raised one brow and leaned forward quickly, biting his neck lightly.
Qiao Jun froze, his breath caught. His whole body tensed.
This woman...
He wanted to grab her and take her upstairs right now, but he took a deep breath and held back his desire.
Turning to the guests, he forced a smile. "We’ll go now. Still some details to finish. We’ll meet you all tomorrow!"
Everyone nodded, laughing and waving.
Then Qiao Jun gently grabbed Yu Holea’s hand and led her out.
Their first stop was the wedding shop.
Yu Holea tried on many dresses. Some were elegant, others were cute, some too fancy, others too simple. But finally, she found the perfect one.
It was a soft white gown with tiny crystal flowers across the bodice. The skirt flowed like a gentle waterfall, hugging her body in every right place with a sweetheart neckline and no sleeves. It sparkled under the lights, just like a dream.
When Qiao Jun saw her in it, he was completely speechless.
"You... look like someone from a fairytale," he whispered.
Yu Holea laughed. "Only fairytales, huh?"
"No," Qiao Jun said seriously. "You look like the bride I never even dreamed I’d deserve."
After picking the dress, they went for drinks, nothing too strong, just something light and sweet.
Then they visited shops to buy gifts for their guests and took care of the rest of the little wedding details together.
By the time they were done, the sky was already turning dark.
Qiao Jun held Yu Holea’s hand tightly.
"Tomorrow," he said quietly, "we’ll officially become husband and wife in front of everyone. I still can’t believe it."
Yu Holea smiled. "Even I feel a bit nervous."
Hearing that, Qiao Jun turned serious again.
"If you’re really nervous," he said, "or feeling any kind of pressure, just tell me. We can stop everything. I’ll cancel the wedding if it’s too much for you."
Yu Holea blinked. Then she giggled.
This man... always puts her first.
"I’m okay," she said. "I promise."
It was already night, and Yu Holea suggested they part for the day.
Qiao Jun looked at her reluctantly. "Alright... but don’t disappear on me tomorrow, okay?"
She smiled, waved, and left.
Once she was back in the Yu Mansion, Yu Holea walked to her room with a light hum.
She sat down and took out her skincare remedies and pills meant to help her glow from the inside out. She never cared much for beauty tricks before... but tomorrow was special.
She wanted to look her best, because she was marrying someone who truly saw her worth.
