CHAPTER 252: CHAPTER 136: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT_2
The Bear Goblin, with an exceptionally strong body and a red mane running down its back, finally moved!
It paid no attention to the weapon it had discarded, now lying among the goblins.
It merely gazed in the direction where Xia Nan was.
Inhale,
Exhale...
A long and powerful white smoke gushed out from between its teeth, almost coalescing into a long serpent in the rain mist.
It took a step.
A thick, dark green liquid mixed with mud and plant stem water oozed from between its toes, tearing up the turf like a green carpet.
Its thick fur trembled with the movement of its body, vaguely revealing the writhing and swelling muscles beneath it.
"Thud, thud, thud."
Even from a distance, the footsteps, like beating drums, echoed clearly into the ears, resonating with the flowing blood like a heartbeat.
From slow to fast.
One step, two steps...
Its legs, as thick as young trees, took increasingly larger strides, and its muscle-filled arms swung more frequently.
Then, from the center of its chest, rose a dark red flame.
It engulfed its entire body, the flickering flames blending into the air currents stirred by its high-speed movement.
"I’ll die!"
This was the first thought that surfaced in Xia Nan’s mind.
The burly figure shrouded in energy flames was like a blazing tank; anything daring to stand in its way would be crushed by its muscular tracks and turned into nutrients for the land.
His legs suddenly exerted force, phantom wolf shadows appeared around his body.
[Teeth Hunting], [Teeth Hunting], [Teeth Hunting].
Driven by survival instincts, he used [Teeth Hunting] three times in quick succession.
Originally amidst the goblins, his figure instantly retreated to the outskirts of the village near the battlefield’s edge.
But due to the lingering effect of the "Taunt" skill, he was forced to stop.
Meanwhile, the Bear Goblin, accelerating with the rising dark red flames, finally charged into the battlefield’s center.
Surprisingly, its target wasn’t him, as it didn’t pursue him further.
This allowed Xia Nan to catch his breath and quickly restore his strength while witnessing the Bear Goblin crashing into the battlefield.
To the Bear Goblin, humans and goblins seemed indistinguishable.
It paid no heed to the goblins it had led out of the forest, relentlessly crushing them into minced meat.
The Red Mane’s naturally robust body extended its destructive range far beyond normal.
In mere seconds, the number of crushed Green-skinned Goblins, like roadside wild dogs, approached the total killed by the villagers earlier.
Without any pause, it smashed into the villagers’ just-repaired defensive line, dragging a trail of corpses behind it.
The trench filled with traps was crossed in a step, and the fire-hardened hardwood, withstanding the Bear Goblin’s charge, was as fragile as water-soaked paper.
Upon slight contact, it was easily torn apart, turned into splintered fibers and wood shavings.
The villagers who braced the barricade with all their strength couldn’t hold even for a second.
With a thunderous "boom," they were explosively thrown upwards by the massive force, hitting the ground with uncertain life.
The defensive line that had withstood hundreds of goblins collapsed in an instant.
The goblins shrieked as they surged in, pouncing on the fresh, lively flesh.
For a moment, cries, roars, and screams filled the air with the blaze and thick smoke.
Unable to halt, the Red Mane, after destroying the fence, slowed down along the way and finally collapsed a wooden house near the village entrance, its body buried in the ruins.
His gaze swept across the devastating trail left by its rampage.
"Damn it."
Xia Nan cursed silently, growing even more vigilant.
Yet his body rushed towards where the Bear Goblin lay.
Unable to escape due to the "Taunt" control, defeating the enemy was the only way to end the battle swiftly.
No need for combat; the force felt while blocking the bone stick was enough to deduce:
The Red haired Bear Goblin’s strength far exceeded their own.
To repel, even kill it, they must gather strength.
Leverage their numbers advantage to besiege...
"Huh? No, don’t!"
As Xia Nan rapidly approached, searching for Adeline, Berg, and others, he had yet to arrive when he saw a sturdy figure already dashing to the wooden house ruins where the Bear Goblin lay buried.
