Although Rebecca already knew this, it did come as a surprise to several of those present.
It wasn't difficult to judge the boy's strength at that moment. His magical power was astonishing, and now it was evident, as was the physical prowess he had displayed. He easily managed to break through everything and reach his target with ease.
But was that not his full strength?
If that were the case, then this guy could easily beat even Mark when he unleashed his full power.
The two who understood that this was not his full strength had different thoughts about the reason.
Rebecca knew this because there was no way that the man who dominated the entire southern part of the industrial region had only that much power. Although she had not fought him, she had seen his abilities to a certain extent, and rumors indicated that he was much stronger than he tended to show.
On the other hand, Hardrial could afford to be more specific, as he had seen him train and understood his fighting style better.
Louis had just fought using magic tricks and some of his own magical research. Few people would notice because he was trying to make it less obvious, but those spells in places where no one was, simply to indirectly affect him with strong winds and destabilize his opponent, were not his fighting style.
He prefers frontal attacks without so many frills, emphasizing his total strength and using it intelligently, but very directly.
Now, there was something he had to take into account, and that was that Louis couldn't fight with his full power. This didn't just apply to him, but to Laura as well. That's because they are weapon masters, and their best attacks come to the fore in a battle to the death, which was completely forbidden here.
They couldn't even inflict serious damage on their opponents, so they had to restrain themselves greatly when launching their magical attacks. If they managed to win with that disadvantage, it would only prove what kind of geniuses they were and how dangerous they could be in combat outside the arena.
So they were severely limited, but they still had power to show.
And Laura's fight soon began.
In front of everyone...

Laura was not present when Louis finished because she had gone to change. This time, she came out wearing her combat outfit.
Black, form-fitting spandex-like clothing that enhanced her beautiful figure and allowed for better, smoother, and more precise movements. This outfit provided good defense and covered her from head to toe, where she wore a pair of black sneakers to move nimbly, and even her arms, where she wore black gloves.
But the most surprising thing was that she didn't decide to hide.
Many people, especially the important ones, frowned when they saw her.
"Albinism?" The emperor frowned.
Something was wrong.
He had seen albinism before and sensed that it was very dangerous, but where had he seen it?
Had he forgotten something so important?
He looked around, searching for a clue or someone to help him remember, but everyone was just like him, confused and pensive.
Even Lady Loren.
"How strange..." he thought.
On the other side, in Priestley's room, Robert frowned.
'There's no doubt about it. I'm sure I know her.' He put his hand to his chin, trying to remember, while Laura let her beautiful hair be blown by the wind and sway from side to side.
Maybe it was that movement... maybe it was the way she walked, or maybe...
It was her eyes.
But Robert felt his mind click into place and shuddered for a brief moment.
"Aster Mane?" He nearly blew up the chair beneath him.
Aster Mane's wife, Miss Madison!
"No, it can't be her." Robert calmed down again and took several deep breaths. There was no way it could be her.
Then...
"Is it his daughter? I remember that at that time, he had a young daughter. Could it be her?" he thought.
Now the main issue was that he had forgotten, and no one around him remembered.
"Someone is trying to interfere with the memories, isn't it?" he thought, and suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head that made him put his hand to it.
"Father?" Rebecca looked at him, confused. "Is something wrong?" she asked.
Robert gestured that it was nothing, but remained lost in his thoughts.
To do something like that to an entire empire would require too much power, power that he couldn't even begin to comprehend at this moment.
But then, should he be upset about what was happening? Should he think of alternatives? Should he call a meeting of the Clan Council to discuss the matter?
"Or should he just look for Aster Mane?" he thought.
Maybe he could confirm it.
Even so, there wasn't much he could do at the moment. At least he had discovered this identity.
The problem was what it implied.
She was possibly Aster Mane's daughter. Or at least a relative. And anything involving that guy is a latent danger.
"Although in a situation like this..." he thought, looking at the VIP room on the other side. "It wouldn't be bad to get that guy's help. He's so powerful on his own that it's scary."
It was better to have Aster Mane than any of the castles in the North, that was for sure.
Maybe he should start looking for that guy..
.
In the combat arena, Laura finally came to the front and put on her usual glasses.
"Miss Laura, I hope you'll forgive my discourtesy, but if you don't want to get hurt, you'd do well to surrender," the man on the other side suddenly said.
Laura looked at him. "You're Nova, right?" she asked.
"Indeed."
"As rude as ever. I didn't know you couldn't be polite in your family, but oh well." She suddenly took out her sniper rifle and looked at him.
"I'm not as gentle as my partner, who likes to test others. So I hope you're prepared to leave the arena with a few broken bones." She smiled.
"Tsk, women are always so stubborn." Nova complained, but simply took out a book and opened it in her hand. "All right. Let me show you why you armamentists are useless in arena combat." He sneered.
The referee, as always, waited for both of them to say their opening words or prepare to start the fight.
And the moment it began, two fire spells were created in front of Nova. At the same time, he ran towards Laura, not wanting to give her a chance to shoot.
Laura laughed at this foolish attempt to get close and simply aimed accurately before shooting him.
Immediately afterwards, she threw herself to the ground to dodge one of the approaching spells.
Nova stopped dead in his tracks and quickly protected himself with another spell, taking advantage of what he had just learned from the previous battle. But it didn't work out as well as he had hoped, and he ended up being hit by large fragments of a fire spell that threw him backwards.
"Level 3 magic so quickly? This woman really is..." Nova smiled and went to get up, but then he saw Laura lying on the ground, pointing her rifle at him.
He didn't have time to react. The shot was quick and decisive.
It hit him in the shoulder with terrifying accuracy, and the explosion of fire sent him rolling across the sand.
"I told you I wasn't as careless as my partner. Sigh, people don't believe me these days." She sneered as she tried to reposition herself.
"Even so, you're going down," Nova declared suddenly, wiping the blood from her lips. Laura hadn't expected him to be so decisive, but when she realized it, she had four level 3 spells above her, falling.
She had to jump from side to side and shot one of the spells like Louis, dispersing it with much more precision than he had.
Even so, she didn't have the speed of a revolver.
BOOM*
The fire magic that fell on her sent her rolling across the sand, which Nova took advantage of to get closer once more, but she managed to get up very quickly.
She hadn't been as affected as he had been before. She didn't even have any scratches.
"This woman is tough." Nova had to back away again and raised his hands.
Numerous arkanometric fabrics floated from her book to the ground, activating one by one in succession and beginning to fall onto the sand, seeking to completely drown her amid explosions and powerful magic.
It was no surprise. It was something that happened frequently, so Laura simply acted accordingly and began to run through the explosions, dodging direct hits, as she approached Nova.
These types of attacks were good if you managed to take out your opponent or at least hinder their plan, but if they simply threw them without further ado, as in this case, then all you would achieve would be to limit your own vision and prevent yourself from moving.
So it wasn't the right decision for him.
But it suited Laura perfectly, who had been practicing footwork lately and it was time to show it off.
