God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank
Chapter 70: Although it looks complicated, he wants to go for that goal.
CHAPTER 70: ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS COMPLICATED, HE WANTS TO GO FOR THAT GOAL.
Louis didn’t wait for a reaction from anyone there. He left the cards on the table and took the rest with him.
He didn’t need to worry about anything else when he was now the leader of this place.
Theos and the other leaders of Ancient Moon grabbed the cards and what belonged to them and left with their heads down. They didn’t even know what to say or do.
They needed information.
Jackvin looked at the remains of Iseni and then at Fraid.
Fraid smiled slightly.
"Don’t blame me. Life takes many turns." He shrugged as he sat down. "Looks like we’ll be working together again."
Though his words were in jest, they reflected the reality of the situation. One that neither Jackvin nor Dicson wanted to believe.
How had he been saved? Could he really outwit one of the Lockward Family Executioners?
Processing the information took time.
--
That day, Theos did not return to the Ancient Moon headquarters. He didn’t even know what face to use to look at his employees, etc.
Instead, he ran to his brother’s mansion.
He couldn’t believe it until he saw it for himself.
When he arrived, his brother was rocking quietly in a chair while gazing at the sky.
Some documents were lying in his hand.
He looked calm.
Theos frowned.
’This bastard...’ He quickly came before and wanted to insult him, but his brother was already waiting for him.
He lifted the documents and handed them to him.
"It’s all yours. I couldn’t do anything about the trouble that boy caused me, so I owe you." He said, turning to look at him with a calm smile.
"I’ll just tell you: don’t antagonize him. If you do, you’ll certainly die."
Theos frowned and looked at the documents: he had signed to sell the two companies.
’So, it’s true...’
Also, the percentage of the Ancient Moon he had and, at the same time, the money cards he had been given.
There were four money cards.
’Four billion?’ Theos was shocked.
Had he sold those two companies and that 12.5% for four billion?
Had he underestimated his brother’s bargaining power?
While those companies were extremely valuable, they would never reach those amounts alone, and 12.5% was barely a billion.
He looked at his brother.
"You..."
"Haha, don’t get excited. I will be working for him. I realized he’s an amazing guy with an amazing future. If I want to fulfill my dreams, I must be with someone like that. He partly gave me this to buy me. But I give it to you. Make Ancient Moon great once again."
Theos frowned. "You’ll work for him? You realize he’s a young man? Rumor has it that he started attending the Academy recently. What good can you get out of him?"
"A random Young One could outwit Ancient Moon, The Shadows, and an Executioner of Lockward?" he asked, curious as to what answer Theos might give him.
But he couldn’t answer him.
He was right.
Just any young man couldn’t be.
But still...
"Besides." He added. "The question is not what can I get out of him. But rather, what does he see in me, to believe I’m worthy?"
Then he stood up and patted Theos. "My intuition got us this far, and now I think it will be able to take me higher. I have already given you what I owed you, so make Ancient Moon great. If you go hand in hand with him, it would be all the better."
Then he left Theos alone in the courtyard.
His thoughts went wild as his mind sought to understand his brother, but he could not.
"We gambled as brothers and grew up as brothers. Do you pretend you’ll be alone now that you want to go off in a different direction? Hehe, we’re going to make it upstairs as brothers too. I promise."
His whisper was gone amidst the winds and the rustling of trees.
Words are carried away by the wind when no one hears them. But these words his mouth spoke were carved in his heart. The wind could not carry them away.
--
Upon returning to his mansion, Louis looked at Jessy.
"Welcome back, Lord Louis."
She was waiting for him, dressed in a secretary’s outfit. Spruced up in a... somewhat peculiar way.
He didn’t like her outfit, as it looked more like a maid’s outfit.
After looking back, Dan was waiting for him on the couch.
’It had to have been his doing.’ He thought with a sigh and patted Jessy on the head.
"Go get changed. From now on, you will be not only my secretary but also someone capable of representing me, my ambassador. You must not wear those clothes," he said.
Jessy was stunned. Ambassador? Had she suddenly risen in rank? What the hell was going on?
But she didn’t have time to ask, as Louis walked into the mansion and started talking to Dan.
"Did things go well, Young Sir?" Dan asked as he greeted him.
"Good enough. I plan to take over the entire Industrial District, is that okay with you?" he asked.
"Huh?" Dan looked at him in shock. "Take over the Industrial District?"
"Yes." Louis nodded. "Why, is that far-fetched?"
Dan nodded. "More than that, it’s a little... crazy and difficult."
"The other area of the District is rather peculiar, from the information I have. Is that why?"
"Yes, Young Sir." Dan stared at him. "They are conservative and staunchly follow the teachings of the Industrial God of Steam. They have a certain alliance with the Asoists."
"Industrial God of Steam?" Louis frowned. "Is there such a God?"
Dan shrugged. "Maybe. What’s certain is that it’s not a God like the ones we know."
"Are there other kinds of Gods?"
"Well, the Asoists have the Arkantes Gods. According to the teaching, the Five Elemental Gods, the Arkantes Gods, are the ones who enact Arkanóesis Magic. They are part of the Creation Myth. They also believe that the Industrial God of Steam is the one who enacted the good progress of the world to the development as we know it." Dan said and then added:
"They hate the Armamentalists, by the way. They believe that the Armamentalists emerged from an evil being that opposes the Industrial God of Steam."
Louis frowned. That was troubling.
He had indeed read something about these Arkantes Gods, mostly in the notes given by Professor Hardrial, but he hadn’t paid any attention to them. But now it turned out they were so important as to say that they ’enacted’ Magic itself.
"That being the case, I’ll have to do better research on it then. Still, plans remain the same." Louis replied after thinking about it for a while.
"Very well then, Young Sir. I wish you good luck."
He had nothing to say, although he could. He should let young people be young. Besides, he had just seen the ability of this "young".
He simply helped him a little to speed up the process, but sooner or later, he would make it even better.
He was capable and had demonstrated that absurd ability in such a short time. Therefore, he had to trust him.

NTA: This concludes Volume 1 of the Novel. I hope you enjoyed it. Honestly, I feel like I faltered a lot at the end. It didn’t come out the way I had planned. I feel like there was a lot missing. I will try to improve on that for the next volumes.
Thanks for reading!
