CHAPTER 75: MAGIC KNOW

Ren didn’t waste words and directly pulled out his Magic Net device.

At this moment, his Magic Net had a new app called "Magic Know."

This was a Q&A sharing platform where all users could freely post various questions and choose whether to offer rewards and how many points. Other users could then earn points by answering questions. At the same time, these questions would be displayed for everyone to search and view.

Essentially, it was a knowledge Q&A platform that combined sites like Quora and Stack Exchange.

Nobody was omniscient, not even deities. The Magic Encyclopedia could share most general knowledge, while Magic Know could share and answer some individual problems that users might encounter.

The two combined would transform each user’s personal knowledge into public knowledge, sharing and spreading it. Everyone could be a user, a seeker, and a creator.

"What a brilliant idea," the Goddess of Magic couldn’t help but marvel. "It won’t take long before all Magic Net users improve like never before. You’re truly a genius!"

"Haha, I’ve got tons of amazing ideas. Once our Magic Power Network spreads and magic power information transmission increases, I’ll show you what real innovation looks like!" Ren laughed heartily and focused all his attention on the new app.

During this time, they’d already achieved small-scale image and video transmission within the divine realm, but that was only because they were in the Goddess of Magic’s divine realm. In the mortal realm, it still wasn’t possible—in fact, you could say it was nowhere near happening. They had to wait until the self-charging arrays and Magic Power Network were fully widespread!

However, this time, besides Magic Know, there were some other updates. For example, bean emojis and emoticons. Bean emoji information loads were small enough that the Magic Net could transmit them, which could really enrich the user experience.

Though Book liked to ramble on, you had to admit it was pretty reliable in many ways. Especially as it kept developing new apps during this time, it increasingly understood Ren’s logic. This Magic Know was absolutely perfect—Ren couldn’t find a single problem with it.

This city, known as the "City of Gold," had been pretty tense lately.

The whole atmosphere of the city seemed off somehow.

A young woman was pouring her heart out to a magician about something. She seemed to have fallen into sorrowful memories, while the magician’s expression gradually grew grave!

"You’re saying that almost all the high-ranking officials in the castellan’s manor get drawn to that mirror, kneel and worship before it together, and then they get weaker day by day until they eventually can’t even get out of bed?"

The legendary druid Master Wrathwind had been pretty annoyed lately. After frantically uploading all kinds of knowledge to the Magic Net and raising his level to one of the top spots, he’d gone around showing off in various forums. Who would’ve thought that he’d accidentally get carried away and expose his hiding place?

Several old friends immediately tracked him down, but where was he supposed to get the money to pay back what he’d lost gambling years ago? So he disguised himself as a human magician and traveled around neighboring countries. Now that he was running low on funds, when he saw that the famous City of Gold’s castellan’s manor was offering a reward, he came here without a second thought.

But listening to the Golden Princess’s description, he found himself totally confused.

About a month ago, the City of Gold’s castellan went out hunting and accidentally obtained an ancient-looking crystal mirror. Normally, for the castellan of Gold—one of the wealthiest people on the continent and quite famous—a crystal mirror wouldn’t catch his eye. Heck, even an entire crystal mine might not move him!

But after encountering that crystal mirror, he treasured it like a precious gem and never left it behind. What was even stranger was that almost every night, city officials would go to her father’s bedroom. Out of curiosity, the Golden Princess secretly went to peek and actually saw the castellan and those officials kneeling before the crystal mirror in the bedroom, chanting something.

The next day, when she went to ask about it, the castellan actually said there was no such thing and told her she must have been dreaming.

From that day on, she went to spy every day and saw the same scene every time.

In just one month, the City of Gold’s castellan and all the high-ranking officials had become seriously ill and extremely weak. Forget managing the city—whether they could even take care of themselves had become a problem!

Master Wrathwind was the most powerful druid in the world, having lived for thousands of years. But even so, after seeing the castellan, he was pretty stumped. He could only use druid divine magic to inject some pure life energy into the castellan, barely restoring him somewhat. But this only helped his body—his spirit still remained in a strange state.

"Regardless, your abilities are plain to see. This is the payment I promised." The Golden Princess sighed and waved her hand, having someone bring forward a plate of gold coins. No matter what, her father’s condition had at least clearly improved. The person before her definitely had skills. "I hope you can stay here a bit longer. Don’t worry, each time you help, the payment won’t be lacking."

Though the Golden Princess had never presided over city-state affairs, she was ultimately the heir to the City of Gold and had decent abilities in recruitment and management.

Master Wrathwind hadn’t been able to fully restore her father, but there had been significant improvement. If she could keep him around, at least the lives of the high-ranking officials would be safe, and then they could slowly solve the root of the problem... After declining the gold they offered, he carefully investigated the castle once more and found that the castellan’s manor still showed no abnormalities. With no other choice, he could only return to his bedroom, take out his Magic Net, and plan to ask some of his old friends about it.
