God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!
Chapter 132: Joining the Game?
CHAPTER 132: JOINING THE GAME?
During the break, most of the players had logged off after hours of intense gaming.
Even though their respective guilds weren’t the ones leading, a look of satisfaction could be seen on almost everyone—except...
IceQueen.
She paced back and forth in front of her brother’s door, a furious expression on her face while breathing heavily like a wounded beast.
Since she logged out of the game, she had knocked a couple of times but didn’t receive any response.
IceQueen knew her brother could hear her, but he chose not to respond. Still, she didn’t give up.
’Even if I have to wait here all night, then I’ll gladly do it,’ she swore in her mind with resolve.
After some hours of relentless knocking, the door finally opened. Jayden, dressed in nightwear despite it being daytime, looked at his sister with a speechless expression.
"Finally, you opened." IceQueen let out a relieved sigh as she cried out. "Brother, please, you have to help me... he’s making life difficult for me. I can’t even enjoy the game in peace."
In front of others, IceQueen was a cold, controlling boss lady, but before her brother, she acted more like a spoiled brat.
Jayden stared at his little sister and facepalmed. He let out a tired sigh. "For the umpteenth time, I can’t participate in the game. I retired. Everyone knows that."
She pouted. "You can always come out of retirement, you know."
"Nope." Jayden shook his head. "Besides, I’ve gotten rusty already. The game’s been ongoing for some time now. How do you expect me to catch up to that Broken Heaven NPC?"
Although he had chosen not to involve himself with anything gaming-related and focused solely on pursuing a normal life, he still randomly came across some articles and videos about a certain red-haired NPC.
At first, he had kept skipping them. However, with everyone in his workplace talking about ’Sir Broken,’ he watched a couple of videos in his free time—and was impressed by what he saw.
This NPC clearly had skill. Though his fighting style was brash, Jayden knew if they had met when he was at his peak, it’d be hard for either to come out on top.
"Rusty?" IceQueen raised her brow. "That’s not even possible. Brother, you dominated every game during the last few years. You defeated monsters far surpassing your level—how can you be rusty?"
"Well, life happened." Jayden shrugged, then looked at his sister sternly. "Besides, if I always come to your rescue, what would happen if I’m not around?"
"Just this once, please," she replied, looking at him with a pleading gaze. "If you help get rid of him, I swear I won’t ask you for any help anymore."
After a moment of thought, Jayden’s eyes suddenly lit up as he had an idea. He held his sister’s gaze and said, "Look, here’s what we’ll do. If you can manage this, then I’ll join the game to help you get rid of this Broken Heaven."
She paused, pressed her lips into a frown, then said, "Alright, I’m listening."

At the same time, in a bar packed with several customers drinking and watching highlights of the game, a lady with a face cap covering her face moved from table to table, serving with a tray in hand.
She was tall and had a very hot, seductive figure that instantly drew the attention of everyone present.
Some had even made advances at her, and when they did, they were politely declined. Those who tried to force their way received a kick to the lower region, leaving them reeling in pain.
The bar was quite noisy as several people were all talking at once. And naturally, their topic revolved around the hottest game of the century—
Realm of Ascendency.
"This might seem wild, but I think the Olympus Guild will still take the lead after this," said a man.
"Yes, that destructive power their leader showed... I have a hunch that was one of his weakest attacks."
"You people keep sleeping on Sir Broken," said a woman quietly smoking a cigarette at the side. "Since the game began, he’s already defeated two bosses while being underleveled... and he’s even holding back. If he really goes all out, I’m afraid not even a Hero Rank like Liang or Jack could stop him."
The seductive salesgirl listened to their conversation. She felt the urge to comment but decided to keep quiet.
Right at that moment, the bar lights dimmed as the large flat screen shifted from highlight displays to a special news broadcast: GameCritix Now.
The screen flickered for a moment before displaying the smug but charismatic face of game analyst Kenny.
Behind him were slow-motion replays of Gabriel—better known to the world as Sir Broken—ripping apart the Serpent King with a bloody grin on his face.
"Well, folks," Kenny grinned, "if you logged out early tonight, then you missed history. Again. Because Sir Broken—yes, that same red-haired anomaly NPC rumored to be a bug—just flipped the entire Inter-Guild Event upside down."
A second analyst, a well-dressed woman with a tablet in hand, nodded. "And what’s even more shocking is that the developers have yet to acknowledge his origin. However, they’ve claimed that he’s not a bug."
When they heard this, the bar quieted slightly as more customers tuned in, some muttering in disbelief.
The waitress paused to watch the segment too, before turning away and resuming serving drinks.
Although she wasn’t a player, she followed the game closely. And like the majority, she was a fangirl of Broken Heaven.
But this wasn’t just because of his strength.
Rather, it was mostly because of his resilience, calmness, and fearless attitude in the face of danger.
’Just a little more, and I’ll be able to save up enough money to join the game,’ Vallery thought, her eyes gleaming fiercely.
