God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!
Chapter 133: Upgrade [1]
CHAPTER 133: UPGRADE [1]
Back in the game world, all the guilds participating in the event had set up temporary camps to rest before the event resumed once more.
Just like Scarlet had commanded, the Adventurer Guild had decided to camp by the lakeside, where the fierce fight between Gabriel and the Lake Serpent King had happened.
"How long are you going to sit there?" Scarlet asked.
Even after the defeat of the Serpent King, Gabriel hadn’t moved from his spot.
"It’s nothing," he replied. "I’m just observing the lake."
Scarlet found his reply slightly odd but gave up and went to attend to other matters.
After she left, Anna slowly approached with a towel and handed it to Gabriel. "Master," she said, drawing his attention.
"Thank you." Gabriel took the towel from her, wiping off his face.
Anna didn’t respond. She moved her gaze to the skull of the Serpent King, and her eyes flashed.
The sword mark on the skull was quite deep and had almost severed it into two halves.
’Master is really more powerful than he lets on,’ she thought inwardly, shifting her gaze to his face.
Unaware of his maid’s thoughts, Gabriel used the towel to wipe the droplets of sweat and blood from his face. Then he shifted his gaze to his sword—
[Crimson Judgement]
[Durability: 380/400]
"It was expected," he mumbled to himself. "Still, it was worth it."
If this sword had been crafted by some random blacksmith, the durability would have dropped by at least a hundred points or more.
However, it was because Korean had been the one to craft the skill that, even though he had been through several battles in such a short amount of time, the durability had only gone down by 20 points.
Placing the sword away, Gabriel summoned his system status to check his current progress.

’450 EP points!’ Gabriel exclaimed in shock when he saw the absurd amount of Extraction Points he had stacked.
Since the event had started, he hadn’t used Extraction on any monsters—hence the reason he was able to stack this amount.
’I wonder just how many I can accumulate before the end of the beast tide.’
He then shifted his attention to his level.
He had clearly accumulated enough experience to level up again, but because he was yet to complete his first class advancement, the experience was stuck in limbo.
’So that’s how it is...’ Gabriel narrowed his eyes. ’No matter how much I farm right now, I’ll hit a ceiling until I complete the class advancement.’
He wasn’t too worried, as the experience wouldn’t be lost.
Gabriel closed his status screen and then shifted his focus to the monster below him.
He wanted to use Extraction on it; however, after realizing that several members of the Adventurer group were still outside, he discreetly sneaked a fragment of the Serpent King into his inventory.
Some time later, Gabriel was led to one of the large tents. When he stepped inside, it almost appeared as if he had stepped into a different realm.
It was well-furnished with marble floors and a bathtub. Naturally, this was the work of a skilled runesmith, and the tent itself was a treasure—
A very expensive one at that.
He didn’t waste time and quickly stripped naked, entering the bathtub.
Anna’s face flushed red. "I’ll be right outside if you need me."
With that, she rushed out.
Meanwhile, Gabriel submerged himself inside the bathtub, simply enjoying the calm water and reflecting on all his battles.
The people who would be the biggest threat in this competition were Liang and Jack.
Gabriel closed his eyes as he sank deeper into the warm water, allowing the tension in his muscles to melt away.
’Liang... the Martial Prodigy. And the charismatic and powerful Jack Arefield.’
He wasn’t worried about regular players or even mid-tier guild elites. But those two? They weren’t ordinary.
This was just the first day of the competition. It was probably why they were so relaxed.
Sooner or later, those two would go all out—and by the time that happened, the entire ranking board...
’If I don’t get stronger before then.’ He smirked.
After cleaning up, Gabriel retrieved the monster parts from his inventory—
Specifically, that of Cerberus and the Lake Serpent King.
Now that he was alone, away from the prying eyes of everyone, he could freely use his talent.
[Ding! Do you want to extract Level 65 Cerberus?]
Cost: 28 EP
"Yes," Gabriel replied, and a familiar screen appeared on his retina.
[Please choose what to extract:]
[Cerberus Hide Armour (Gold)]
[+10 Strength]
[Blood Flask (Gold)]
The option that caught Gabriel’s attention was the last one—the Cerberus Blood Flask.
Naturally, he skipped the hide armor, as he already had the Guard’s Robe, which was also gold-ranked and boosted Strength.
Without hesitation, he selected the Blood Flask.
Following a burst of purple light, a black flask appeared in his grasp.
[Blood Flask (Gold)]
[Description: A volatile flask that grants +30 stat points to each attribute and temporarily unlocks (Tri-Elemental Breath LV.2)Cooldown: 24 hours].
Gabriel’s fingers tightened slightly around the warm flask as he examined it, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
’+30 to each attribute... and Tri-Elemental Breath Level 2?’ He could barely hide the grin forming on his lips.
Tri-Elemental Breath was the signature move of the Cerberus—flames, lightning, and frost all unleashed simultaneously. To have that in his arsenal, even temporarily, was absurdly powerful.
"This is easily top-tier even among gold-ranked items," he muttered.
The only drawback was the cooldown, but he didn’t mind. It wasn’t meant for daily use—it was meant for boss fights, for moments when everything was on the line.
He placed the flask carefully into his inventory and moved on to the next extraction.
It was time to extract from the Level 95 Lake Serpent King!
