Chapter 141: Red Skinned Goblin Generals [1]
CHAPTER 141: RED SKINNED GOBLIN GENERALS [1]
"First it was the mountain ogres, now these disgusting goblins!" Brunt, the Level 50 Awakened, cursed under his breath as he bashed in the head of a goblin.
After Scarlet’s group separated from Gabriel’s, they encountered a horde of goblins and wolf-type monsters with bloodthirsty red eyes.
"It seems the wolves and the goblins have formed some kind of alliance," Sophie commented as she threw dozens of seeds, which quickly turned into devouring vines that snaked into the sea of monsters.
The vines she had planted earlier hungrily strangled two armored wolves before slamming them into the ground.
Just behind her was Cassie, her expression pale as she expended more mana to support her teammates.
She had already drunk a couple of mana potions, but with the increasing number of monsters, her mana was being depleted in a flash.
Cassie stumbled slightly, mana exhaustion creeping in again. "Sophie... I think I’m almost out..." she whispered in a barely audible voice.
"Then stick close to me. Brunt, cover her!" Sophie barked.
"On it!" Brunt smashed his shield into a charging goblin, sending it tumbling like a ragdoll. He grinned at the kill notification.

"Ladies and gentlemen, like in previous years, it seems the monster horde has doubled!" the commentator back at the plaza announced.
"So far, the only guild still faring well is the Olympus Guild. All other guilds have found themselves in an extremely tough spot!"
The viewers watched with their faces glued to the screen, their hearts pounding in anticipation and exhilaration.
Suddenly, in an excited voice, the announcer shouted, "Guys, hold on—it seems... it seems we’re about to witness the strength of Scarlet, the youngest Hero-rank!!"
At the announcer’s words, thousands of people rose from their seats simultaneously, their eyes sparkling at what they saw.
Truly, on the screen, they saw Scarlet calmly walking towards the front of the battlefield, her light-blue eyes sharp and focused.
On the battlefield, she raised a hand and spoke in a soft yet commanding voice. "Stand back, everyone."
Without question, the others unhesitatingly took dozens of steps back.
A brief flash of killing intent shone in her beautiful eyes as she unsheathed her slim, elegant sword.
The goblins and wolves tensed, watching warily.
They could all sense the killing intent from this person. Despite Scarlet’s best efforts to mask her hatred for these disgusting green creatures, a small trace still slipped through.
ROOOAR!
The goblins’ eyes sparkled with lust at her slim yet curvaceous figure. Like dogs in heat, they began to drool and lick their lips.
A look of irritation and disgust flickered across the faces of all those present.
"These bastards just dug their own graves," Brunt laughed bitterly.
BrawlerX frowned. "What do you mean?"
Brunt explained, "It’s no secret the vice guild leader hates it when people stare at her lustfully... in the past, she even blinded a noble just because he stared at her boobs."
"Heok!" BrawlerX’s entire body jerked. All this while, he had been silently admiring her from behind.
If... if she could do something like that to a noble, then who was he?
’Although I won’t die,’ he rubbed his neck, ’the pain sensor in this game is very realistic.’
Though it wasn’t as painful as in real life, it was still bad enough.
For his own safety, the tank swore never to look at Scarlet again.
With each passing second, the goblins grew more savage. The breaking point was when they caught her sweet fragrance—and they lost their minds, charging at her.
At the same time, Scarlet thrust her sword forward. "Sword Intent!" she exclaimed.
At least a hundred swords materialized in the air and shot forward, whistling as they impaled the first wave of goblins and wolves.
Some pierced heads, others struck chests or stomachs. It was instant death, and damage numbers began to float in the air.

Some larger armored goblins proved harder to kill in one hit, but if the first sword didn’t finish them, the second certainly did.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Adventurer Guild has yet again surpassed the other guilds with a whopping 300 points!"
At the announcer’s words, the Realm of Ascendency’s official chart exploded.
"Three hundred points in just one move!?"
"Are you blind? That wasn’t just one move—it was Scarlet’s Sword Intent! That’s Hero-rank stuff!"
A small minority were excited, while a large number of people were quietly questioning their life choices.
Naturally, the excited bunch were die-hard fans of Sir Broken, who had placed bets on him to come out on top!

In minutes, all the goblins were dead, and the battlefield was flooded with blood.
A metallic smell clung to the air.
Sophie’s nose twitched beneath her veil. Even though this world was dangerous and death happened constantly, she still had a great distaste for blood.
The crimson pool slowly reached Scarlet’s feet. Looking up, she noticed dozens of presences emerging from the other side.
Everyone’s gaze snapped in that direction.
The mist cleared just enough to reveal hulking silhouettes—far larger than goblins or wolves.
What stood out most was the color of their skin.
BrawlerX’s grin faltered. "Uh... those aren’t goblins."
Cassie’s pale face went even whiter. "They’re... Goblin Generals. And there’s more than one."
A quick glance confirmed at least two of them, with normal green goblins trailing behind.
The plaza crowd gasped, and the commentator’s voice echoed with excitement and fear. "Ladies and gentlemen... it seems a new, even more terrifying wave has entered the battlefield!"
From within the enemy ranks, a deep voice rumbled, "Which one of you... is the Hero?"
"I am." Scarlet stepped forward confidently.
The goblin generals licked their lips. "Good. You’ll make fine concubines for our king."
Their deep, guttural voices made even veteran adventurers like Khrome shift uneasily.
They grinned wickedly, yellow fangs dripping with saliva, bloodshot eyes locked on Scarlet like predators eyeing their prey.
Brunt’s knuckles tightened around his shield. In a slightly suppressed voice, he whispered, "These things... they’re on a different level."
Sophie didn’t respond, but the vines under her feet twisted restlessly, as if sensing the danger.
The two hulking generals stepped forward, dragging massive jagged cleavers behind them. The scraping sound against the rocky ground was enough to send shivers down the spine.
Scarlet didn’t move—she just stood there, sword lowered, eyes half-lidded.
It was almost... too calm.
The regular goblins and wolves behind them roared but didn’t charge, as if waiting to see the outcome of the first move.
"Why isn’t she attacking?" BrawlerX muttered.
"She’s letting them come," Brunt said, like he’d seen this before. "Scarlet doesn’t just fight—she kills in a way that leaves nothing standing."
The plaza crowd grew louder. Some fans leaned forward, others held their breath.
The commentator trembled with excitement. "She’s... she’s waiting! Is she going to let herself get surrounded?!"
The two generals glanced at each other, then waved forward.
The regular goblins surged like a green tidal wave, bloodshot eyes locked on Scarlet. Wolves ran alongside them, shaking the ground.
"They’re letting the horde attack first? Cowards."
"They’re testing her strength," Sophie replied quietly, her gaze locked on the generals. "They’re not dumb. They know exactly how dangerous she is."
"Everyone stay back, you’ll only get in the way of my attack!"
Most members—except some players—were already used to fighting alongside her. At her words, they didn’t argue and simply stepped back.
As the first wolf reached her, her sword shot upward in a single, calculated slash.
The head flew into the air, blood spraying like a fountain. Before the first drop hit the ground, Scarlet twisted, her blade becoming a silver blur.
Dozens of goblins screamed as crimson lines split across their bodies. Damage numbers filled the air.
A wolf lunged from behind—she spun, heel smashing into its jaw with a sickening crack before her sword pierced its skull.
In the plaza, the commentator was losing his voice.
"She’s cutting them down like paper! This—this is unbelievable speed! Even for a Hero-rank, this is insane!"
Still, the goblins came. Scarlet’s eyes flicked left—her sword arm moved once, and a line of goblins fell, heads rolling across the dirt.
Within seconds, the front ranks were gone, blood pooling fast enough to stain the ground.
The goblin generals’ grins vanished as they watched their forces crumble.
Scarlet flicked her blade, spraying blood aside. Her gaze locked on the hulking figures at the back.
"Your turn," she said coldly.
