God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!
Chapter 181: Famous
CHAPTER 181: FAMOUS
By the time Gabriel woke up from his long sleep, it was already night again.
Since there was nothing to do, he went back to sleep, reflecting on everything he had learned through the memory fragment.
The next day, sunlight filtered through the window, bathing his face. Gabriel’s eyes twitched as he groggily rose from the bed.
After taking his bath and changing into a fresh pair of clothes, he stepped out.
’Odd, if it were other times Anna would already be waiting for me. Wonder where she is,’ he thought, sweeping his gaze across the hallways.
When he didn’t find anyone, he proceeded outside. On his way, everyone he came across greeted him with reverence in their eyes.
As soon as he arrived at the training room, he saw a couple of familiar faces.
Ragnarok99, Sniperbowlegend, BrawlerX, and Bunny.
"Good morning, Sir Broken!" they all greeted at once, their eyes shining with respect.
He nodded at them, not expecting to see them this early.
But then he recalled that time flowed differently between the real world and the game world.
After the event, the four had decided to join the Adventurer Guild temporarily, pending until Gabriel started his own guild.
Of course, Scarlet didn’t mind, even though she knew these otherworlders were loyal to Gabriel rather than the guild.
"I’m heading out now. You four can go downstairs and grab a quest to keep you busy," he said while walking away.
Instantly, a string of green texts appeared before them with a reward.
Without hesitation, the four rushed downstairs to complete the quest.
It was a win-win situation. Not only would they be rewarded by the guild, but they’d also gain experience points as rewards from Sir Broken.
Some time later, Gabriel stepped out of the Adventurer Guild building.
As soon as he did, Anna—who had been indoors—slipped out, panting as if she had just escaped danger.
"Is he gone?"
In truth, she had checked on him while he was asleep, or at least she thought so. However, because of what had happened the other time, she was uncomfortable and rushed out of the room.
"Miss Anna, is something the problem?" an adventurer asked with concern.
Anna casually waved with a forced smile. "It’s nothing."
Meanwhile, Gabriel walked through the city with a hoodie pulled over his head.
His status right now was no different from an A-list celebrity. Merely sighting him could cause a commotion.
Some time later, he arrived at the black market, downtown Stellar City.
Naturally, the place was bustling with people selling all kinds of treasures.
Among them were hundreds of players. He weaved through the crowd, arriving before Damian’s shop.
"Please state your business here."
At the entrance, he was immediately stopped.
"I’m here to see Damian," Gabriel said, his voice deep and rattling the guard’s spine—especially when he caught a glimpse of who it was.
’Why does this person look so familiar?’ the guard thought. In the midst of his confusion, another voice came from behind.
"Let him be. He’s a friend."
At those words, the guard didn’t question further and simply stepped back.
"I’m surprised you were able to recognize me so easily," Gabriel commented as he stepped past.
Damian smiled. "Well, I’ve been expecting you for quite a while now. Figured you’d come sell off some of your treasures."
"Makes sense," Gabriel nodded.
He was led to Damian’s office. Upon arriving, he went straight to business, retrieving his treasures—specifically the ones he had extracted the night he encountered the blue-skinned girl.
Gabriel sold all the treasures, mostly the ones he felt wouldn’t be useful to him, and cash was quickly transferred into his card.
Before leaving, he said, "I have plans of building a guild. Although the plans are still in motion, I’m specifically inviting you to become part of it."
Damian nodded. "I’ll think about it."
When Gabriel left, the merchant watched his disappearing back, deep in thought.
’Joining a guild would be great in the long run, but with his knack for making enemies I wonder if it’s a good idea.’ He stroked his beardless chin.
The Tempest family, the Valentines, and the Edgeburnes were now his enemies. The only reason they hadn’t made a move was because he was still under the cover of the guild.
"By the time he starts his own guild, they’ll all hunt him."
Even though Gabriel had the potential to become a powerhouse in a short amount of time, Damian knew he needed to play smart, or else he might be caught in the crossfire.
’Let’s see how everything plays out first then,’ he concluded.
After leaving the market district with over 200,000 Valerian dollars, Gabriel’s next destination was the Association.
In the Stellar Kingdom, every existing class had an association. He had a worry at the back of his mind.
He feared there would be no association for his Berserker class. However, since the Berserker and Warrior classes were somewhat similar, he hoped it could still provide him with an advancement quest.
As he arrived at the towering building—the tallest in the capital—he stepped in unobstructed and went to meet the receptionist.
"How can we help you today?" The receptionist displayed a warm, professional smile at the sight of him.
"I’m here for the class advancement quest," Gabriel stated.
"What class are you?" she asked. He had initially planned to lie by claiming he was a Warrior.
However, their association had methods of detecting one’s class, which left him with only one option.
And that was to reveal his class.
But was he ready for that? Even though it might make things much easier for him, he still had qualms.
After a while, he made a decision and held the receptionist’s gaze. She seemed to get a clear look at his face. Her pupils shrank, and a gasp erupted from her mouth.
"Ar-aren’t you Gabriel Reyes from the ev—"
"My case is special," Gabriel cut in. "If you don’t mind, can I speak with someone of higher rank?"
