CHAPTER 67: BATTLE ART

"Do you think there’s something going on in the background?" Blake questioned.

"Don’t you think?" Liam raised an eyebrow, then continued.

"First, they made it mandatory to participate, then big families started acting weird."

"Ohh... those motherfuckers really piss me off. It’s better they are out of the test," Blake said, his hands bulging.

Harry wasn’t paying much attention; he was trying to gauge his limits—limits to make space items.

"You two leveled up?" Harry asked, changing the topic.

"Pretty much. I am on Elemental Master level 3, and Blake is at the peak of Elemental Master level 2," Liam said, giving a side-eye to Blake.

"What? You bet! I can still crush you with these hands," Blake scoffed.

"Of course, you got a body enhancement element, but don’t forget, I can fly better than birds and swim better than fish," Liam argued.

"And what are you gonna do with that? Oh, you will run when I crush you."

"Stop it already," Gracie intervened.

"You got any news about the exam?" Gracie asked.

"I already told you, but if you think they made it mandatory to participate, then there will be more than 10,000 participants from all academies across different planets," Liam expressed his thoughts.

"No way they can arrange a 1v1 fight for everyone," Gracie laughed at this.

When Harry heard this, a smile appeared on his face.

"Battle ground."

"What?" Liam asked when he heard Harry’s words.

"Battle ground—it’s a game where many players enter an area, and whoever survives till the last wins.

The only rule is that you have to survive, whether by killing others or hiding."

When Gracie pointed out that they couldn’t arrange 1v1 fights, this was the first thing that came to his mind.

"Who plays games like these? But it would be an interesting concept," Blake and Gracie laughed at this remark.

Harry threw a ring toward Liam.

While they were talking, Harry had already prepared a space ring of 3 by 3 meters.

He brought another ring out and started making another one.

Last time he made these items, he was already getting used to it.

If he forged all the rings and bracelets he had, he was sure he would be able to forge them in his sleep.

’Well, that was too much. Maybe one day, he would even succeed.’

"Stop slacking off. If this many things are happening before the test, then there must be some truth to them. Go and train, and let me concentrate," Harry said after making another ring.

Harry gave it to Blake. Now all five friends were equipped with space rings or bracelets.

"You two, come with me. I will make your training hell with my element," Blake said and bolted out of the room.

Then Liam followed him.

At last, Gracie was about to leave.

"Tell them to fill their rings with utility items. This test seems bad to me. We have to be prepared. Maybe they really will put us in a battle royale situation," Harry winked at her.

Gracie nodded first and then slapped Harry on the back of his head before vanishing.

Harry couldn’t do anything, so he just shook his head dejectedly.

There were only about 15 days left before the exam. He was getting a bad premonition, and after hearing what Liam said, it only grew stronger.

Harry needed to make space items, but he was unsure if he should waste time on them.

But then, he needed credits to buy weapons and boost his battle efficiency.

Harry switched off his mind and started forging rings one after another. He forgot when it was day and when it was night.

His efficiency increased after making the last batch of items. But he needed some breaks to replenish the essence energy he used on the pocket dimension skill.

He forged all 40 items in three days.

The only reason he had kept going was his new skill. If he hadn’t had Hemostasis, he would have been lying on his bed in fatigue.

He only took short breaks. Fatigue was evident on his face. Hemostasis wasn’t an infinite skill. Even it needed energy to use. Although its passive usage came with an almost negligible amount, the amount it was using was lesser than his recovery. But the pocket dimension was something that took energy in packets.

Every ring required a certain amount.

He lay on his bed, a gentle smile on his face. It was the satisfaction—

the satisfaction of completing a task.

With that, his eyes closed.

He opened his eyes after four hours of sleep. He felt fresh. All the mental fatigue had vanished.

It was a short amount of time, but after his level-up and, on top of that, a skill to lessen fatigue, it was the best combination to keep him fresh.

He also wanted to change his marketing strategy. He couldn’t keep giving items to Aiden.

He needed to build an independent network. Should he open a shop where he could sell these rings? But then, that would lessen the demand and, consequently, the price.

He just gave up on it. He would think about all these things once the exam ended.

He messaged Aiden this time.

Aiden’s reply was short: "I am busy. I will send someone to you."

In the next five minutes, a lady stood before him.

She didn’t say much—just transferred the credits and took 30 space items with her.

She was the same woman who had shown him the way to Aiden’s office last time.

He checked his badge. There were almost 1.5 million credits.

He wanted to feel happy, but he couldn’t because he knew that once he bought some items, the credits would disappear.

For now, he needed to enhance his power.

He left for the training room. There was one thing on his system screen that could potentially improve his power.

[Battle Art: Locked]

In the last two months, he had tried to create something he could call battle art. But it wasn’t an easy task.

The definition of battle art was vague. Was it a technique?

But if it was a technique, then why would the system give it a separate name?

The only thing he could think of was his battle style, which was being forged by every practice session, every battle he fought.
