God-Tier System: Kill Beasts, Cultivate Forever
Chapter 72: Ironclad Raptors (2)
CHAPTER 72: IRONCLAD RAPTORS (2)
The only silver lining was that not all of them were as strong as the beast that Harry inspected.
Jessie had already killed one in a single hit.
Seeing one of their members die, all the beasts took flight. It was a short burst of flight, and their speed was greatly enhanced by their initial momentum.
Harry used his sword to clash with one of the beasts, but his sword only left a scratch to its tough shell.
Harry changed his style. Being agile and using Serpent Stride, he dodged the second beast that attacked from behind the first beast’s body.
As Harry dodged their first attack, their agility reduced greatly, and neither did they try to flee.
Harry was about to attack its shell when a fountain of blood scattered in the air.
Jessie had killed another one. Harry, taking advantage of the distraction, turned into shadows, appearing close to the raptor’s maw and thrusting his sword inside.
The beast backed away in pain. Harry controlled the blood on his sword to deal extra damage. The beast used its limb to attack.
Harry, staggering back, summoned a barrier, buying enough time to glide through the shadows and reach its back.
As he was about to thrust his sword in, he saw a beast rushing in his peripheral vision. Leaving his initial plan aside, Harry turned into shadows.
The momentum was too high for the beast to control, which caused their outer hides to collide.
"Boom"
Echoes of their clash remained on the battlefield.
Their outer hides were crushed beneath the force of their collision.
Harry, taking advantage, switched to his bow and arrows. Two arrows, enveloped by his Qi and soul energy, pierced through their broken shells, disappearing into their thick flesh.
The beasts, feeling extreme pain in their souls, tried to recover from drowsiness, but before they could, a sword cut through their inner organs with Qi strikes.
Then, it became a barrage of sword strikes.
The inner organs were cut into small pieces by continuous slashes.

Both the beasts were at level 4. He didn’t expect much since he was powerful enough to handle this level of threat.
It was just that the combination of both was hard to handle. Evading one’s attack while attacking the other was a difficult thing to accomplish.
As Harry turned around to see his partners, snowflakes were falling from the air.
Many ice structures had appeared on the battlefield. Several spikes were piercing the tough hides of the raptors.
Then, there were ice pathways, which Harry was sure were used to increase Jessie’s agility in mid-battle.
While Jessie’s clothes were neat and clean, Sephie was bathing in blood. The little clothing she had had changed color to crimson, blood dripping down from her hair.
Harry was no better; he was also covered in blood.
"Take the crystals. We should leave as fast as we can," Jessie said and started retrieving crystals.
Harry also took out crystals from the beasts he killed.
Then, he put the bodies of the beasts inside his ring.
Jessie and Sephie didn’t bother to take the bodies, so Harry asked,
"Can I take the remains?"
Both the girls looked at him, amused. Then, they shrugged, giving their permission.
Harry was delighted because these beasts could help his contract beast level up. The beasts he killed were of a low level, but the raptors that Jessie killed were considerably high level.
Harry put the remains inside his ring and transferred them to his beast space. The girls just watched him in shock.
Jessie sighed and continued forward. The sun was already up. If they kept dragging blood on their bodies, she was sure they would soon face another assault.
"We have to find some water to clean the blood off," Jessie suggested.
Harry was thinking about his contract beast, Wolfie. That’s what he had named it.
Then, he heard Jessie.
"Why find water? I have some," Harry said, bringing a water tank out of his ring.
He no longer needed water to survive—at least not as frequently as a normal human. But it hadn’t been long since the transformation happened, so keeping food and water was the first thing he did while preparing.
Although there were some artefacts that could store as much water as a pond in it but Harry wasn’t in mood to waste money when he had so much spare space.
The girls were flabbergasted. Only one question was in their minds:
How much space does he have in the ring?
They had clearly seen him put those beasts inside, and now he brought a whole tank out of it. They came to a conclusion.
"Young master?" But then, his attitude and behavior didn’t match that of a spoiled young master.
"You turn around. Let me wash first," Sephie said, taking a little water out to wash.
"Wait... What are you doing? Jump inside," Harry said.
Sephie tilted her head in confusion. "Won’t it spoil the water?"
Jessie, seeing their problem, made a thin wall dividing the tank into two parts.
She cleaned herself. As she dipped in the water and came out with her swimsuit wet, her skin was still rough. Water droplets clung to different parts of her body.
She came out of the tank, and Jessie made an ice wall for her to change.
Harry also took a bath in the water. It had now turned red and black. A grin appeared on his face.
He put the tank back in his ring.
Seeing the ice wall, he was expecting Sephie to come out wearing some decent clothes.
But she came out wearing a top and a skirt.
Harry was happy to see improvement—at least these could be called genuine clothes.
They continued in the rift. Every time they found a cave, they were ready for an attack.
But none came.
In those three days, Wolfie had consumed all the carpace. Its improvement was considerable. It had reached the peak of level 6 but was still unable to break through.
The highest-level corpse it ate was level 6, so there was a very low chance it could have benefited from them.
The rift was never-ending.
On the morning of day four, they saw a group of three people coming from the front.
Seeing each other both groups were happy and agitated at the same time. All six people drew their weapons, ready to cut each other down.
