God-Tier System: Kill Beasts, Cultivate Forever
Chapter 77: An inexperienced Brat
CHAPTER 77: AN INEXPERIENCED BRAT
The beast was unstoppable barging at Harry at unstoppable speed, halting in mid air and dodging a arrow looked impossible but the beast had enough experience to use aerodynamics to shift its weight, the arrow missed all vital organs.
Harry didn’t expect one hit kill so without wasting any second he switched to the Soul Judgment Sword, making a cut on the beast.
The raptor felt a soul-tearing pain, hindering its ability to think.
Harry struggled to keep his balance on his one leg but fell, headfirst.
He turned into shadows and reappeared at a distance.
Harry wanted to try something. He infused soul energy into the tip of the arrow and launched it toward the beast.
The arrow pierced its hide, going four inches deep into its flesh.
"Screeeee!" The raptor let out an ear-piercing screech.
It’s walk looked rugged, Harry appeared before it in an instant to take advantage of the opportunity he created.
A long black sword descended cutting through the air.
Then, he saw three other raptors flying toward him.
Harry’s heart skipped a beat. He ignored the system screen.
Turning into shadows, he used multiple teleportations, jumping five meters each time, His only hope of survival was to reach the cave.
All of his essence, all his efforts, all the might he had everything was dedicated to fleeing in the cave.
The raptors’ speed was astonishing Harry didn’t get a chance to use Inspect.
He barely entered the cave when the beasts were almost upon him. But he made another mistake. The cave wasn’t a place where they couldn’t enter; it was a place they hated to fight in.
But now, Harry was alone, while they were the majority.
He cursed himself for making so many mistakes. He realized how important battle experience was—just as crucial as power.
The weight of realisation dawned upon him—he was just an ordinary person three months ago...a thing or two may have changed in the time but he was still an unexprienced brat, lacking any Battle awareness.
The three beasts entered the cave.
With nowhere to run, Harry emerged from his shadow form.
Group of beast landed before him but didn’t immediately attack.
Harry could almost see a grin on their faces. But it was all in his head—they didn’t even have faces he could understand.
The beasts lunged at Harry—But before they could reach him, a wolf appeared, standing between them.
Its eyes gleamed red.
With a flick of its paw, it crushed the tough hide of a raptor. Its large maw opened and severed the raptor’s neck.
The other two raptors were about to pierce the wolf when a barrier blocked their attack.
The barrier shattered, but the attack didn’t land.
The wolf growled in anger. Taking a long leap, it pounced on another raptor, devastating its outer shell.
Harry cautiously cast multiple barriers to protect the wolf against the third raptor, but his level wasn’t high enough to keep them intact.
Using its four strong limbs, the raptor attacked the wolf with full force, its claws piercing the wolf’s torso.
A howl echoed through the cave.
Then, the beast’s golden back began to glow. Before the raptor’s eyes, all its injuries healed instantly.
Harry wasn’t in any condition to help the wolf, but he did cast a few more barriers to assist.
The wolf pushed the raptor down and, using its maw, severed all four of its limbs, black blood erupting like a fountain. Finally, it sliced off both wings.
The raptor lay there, as good as dead—but it wasn’t dead yet.
Harry struggled to stand. He wanted to keep lying down, but with sheer will, he forced himself up. Using the Soul Judgment Sword, he delivered the final blow.
[Congratulations! You have slain an Ironclad Raptor.]
[+20,000 EXP]
Harry collapsed onto the floor.
He left the wolf out to protect him, but the wolf itself wasn’t happy to help.
It growled in dissatisfaction.
"Fuck you, I don’t care what you feel," Harry wanted to say, but he held back.
He had no sympathy for the wolf. He had already done it a favor by giving it a unique name.
If the wolf knew what Harry was thinking, it would have buried itself in the sand.
Harry analyzed his condition. The bone in his leg was crushed, and his injuries from the previous fight still lingered.
The surprising part was that Hemostasis was working—it could even heal a crushed bone. But the speed at which it healed was mind-shattering.
Harry couldn’t afford to wait half a month in the cave just to heal these injuries.
He took out some high-level pills that had cost him a fortune to buy.
One... two... three pills.
A mind-boggling pain struck him. The pills worked—the targeted healing repaired his previous injuries completely. But a shattered bone still took time, even with high-level pills.
At least now, it would heal within two or three days.
An hour later, he ignored the pain and opened his eyes.
Wolfie stood before him, staring at the raptors’ carpaces with a watering mouth.
It would have already devoured them if Harry hadn’t ordered otherwise.
Harry used Soul Eater on the first two beasts.
It wasn’t enough to level him up. He felt a slight improvement, but it was not colossal neither negligible.
He moved to the third and final raptor—the one with severed limbs. He tried the skill, but it didn’t work.
Harry was confused. He didn’t feel anything—No energy influx.
"Does this mean I can’t use Soul Eater on normal cultivators anymore?"
He had no proof He needed to kill some other beasts to test it.
Harry gave a side-eye to Wolfie.
"You can eat them now," he said, putting his mask back on.
He stored two of the bodies inside Beast Space. They were as big as Wolfie.
Harry was sure it was a male wolf—since, in wolves, males always lead the pack.
That night, he rested in the cave. His injuries were now at a manageable level.
The next day, he climbed onto Wolfie’s back.
The wolf tried every trick to throw him off—sprinting at full speed, leaping as high as it could—but Harry wasn’t fazed. He was enjoying the thrilling ride.
At some point, Wolfie gave up.
For the next three days, Harry crossed the mountain rift.
But it was still mountains—smaller, with mostly plain stone terrain.
He had three extreme paths to choose from.
He picked the one that led back toward where he started.
As he moved forward, he spotted a group of colossal Behemoths.
Harry sighed.
He knew it was inevitable—he had to fight these creatures if he wanted to go beyond the mountains.
More importantly, they were the perfect targets to increase his level.
"I’ll never kill you, cuties," Harry grinned.
Being cautious about his masks drawback.
