CHAPTER 423: CHAPTER 259: THIS IS UNFAIR! I WAS HERE FIRST_2
On the Golden Tree, a giant Purple Spirit Fruit had emerged, unprecedented in size, and its radiant glow had turned part of the tree’s canopy into a purplish-gold color.
Noah also carefully investigated the source of this extraordinary fruit’s nutrients, which primarily came from those who praised him day and night, even worshiping him as a Divine being, from different Wisdom Races.
The majority in terms of quantity were undoubtedly the lower and middle class populace, but in terms of quality, it was various Dragon Clan, Dragon Vein Mage, and Dragon Descendant names, along with a significant number of Paladins.
It was these worldly millions of secular people, who believed in his ideals and worshipped his deeds, who considered him sacred, that created this astonishingly large Purple Spirit Fruit.
Noah very much wanted to taste the flavor of this fruit, but he vaguely sensed that the fruit wasn’t yet ripe, despite its diameter almost exceeding five meters; it still needed more nutrients for maturation.
"The battle of the Great Graveyard, and the judgment of the Augustus Royal Family!"
Noah knew that the vast majority of the fruit’s source came from something, the battle of the Great Graveyard, primarily on the level of Transcendents, which shocked many Extraordinary Forces on the Xilantia Continent.
The judgment of the Augustus Royal Family greatly enhanced his reputation among the lower and middle classes, especially in terms of credibility among the lower class populace, reaching an unprecedented peak.
After all, even those living in the Noah Territory had never seen an event of publicly judging a Royal Family, let alone the poor people outside the Noah Territory, who had long lived under the rule of Feudal Nobles.
During the battle of the Great Graveyard, Noah was on the front lines, fighting fiercely, but in the event of judging the Royal Family, Noah’s major contribution was merely contacting a few Paladin groups, talking with them, and inviting them to preside over the judgment.
Noah only used his words, wasted some saliva, did not move at all otherwise, yet the benefits he gained far exceeded the rewards from personally fighting in battle.
"Noah, I brought your offspring back in one piece, come and take a look!"
Just as Noah was pondering what kind of effect the giant Purple Spirit Fruit on the Golden Tree would have, and what kind of Word Spirit it would grant, a haughty and inexplicably arrogant Mage came to kick the door.
"Look carefully, not a single hair is missing, if you don’t check carefully, any problem later won’t be my responsibility."
When the Golden Dragon slithered out of its bedchamber, with a majestic aura approaching him, the girl’s expression became even more smug.
At the first sight of Iliad, Noah understood why his adoptive mother was so arrogant. Because his offspring not only lacked nothing, but had many adornments added.
On the head, neck, wrist, fingers, waist, even the ankles, wherever equipment could be worn, there gleamed luminous equipment, even the uneducated common folk could clearly see these were remarkable treasures.
This is one characteristic of the top-tier equipment; either the spirit light conceals, appearing like hunks of scrap metal when not in use, unidentifiable even to seasoned appraisers, or it shines brilliantly, as if declaring to the world, grandly a Divine Artifact, an Inheritance Armor.
Evidently, after being looped back by Selena, all the equipment on his offspring belonged to the latter, even for Noah now, it was hard not to feel envious. No wonder his adoptive mother was so cocky, even daring to kick his door.
"Are all these for him?"
Noah found it hard to describe his feelings at the moment, to put it simply, very complicated.
Though his adoptive father treated him kindly in those days, there’s no comparison to now, from his offspring, any random ring could spark a Legendary battle outside, he had seen several treasures at the level of national heritage, treasures enough to form the foundation of a Kingdom.
"Did you think I specifically brought them back for you?"
Selena rolled her eyes at Noah, then unceremoniously warned the Golden Dragon,
"I’m telling you, these are your son’s, don’t even think about claiming them."
"Am I such an unethical Dragon? How could I possibly snatch equipment from my own son?"
Noah, too, got indignant, righteously retorted.
"Ordinary equipment, of course, you wouldn’t care for, but that old man, in a good mood, stuffed all the trophies he gathered from everywhere, don’t say you, even I’m tempted."
Selena reached out to touch the crown Iliad wore on his forehead, as her hand made contact, a song full of ethereal sanctity began to play, followed by apparitions of countless Angels hovering around him, about to take tangible form, as if an Angel Legion from Heaven were about to descend.
"Are most of these equipments from Heaven?"
Noah immediately grasped the situation, seeing that the equipment his offspring was adorned with all had Holy Attributes; this type of equipment’s largest source was certainly not the Material Realm.
"What’s the matter? Are you worried about the legitimacy of these equipment? They were snatched from other Lords, use them at ease!"
Selena nonchalantly said, quite unconcerned about the equipment’s origins.
"Then there’s no problem."
Noah nodded.
"Since it’s like this, my task is done, I’ll leave him to your care, I’ll come back in a while."
After Selena departed with a flick of her hand, Noah pulled his offspring over, scrutinized him up and down, then started questioning,
"Do you know where you went?"
"I know."
Iliad’s expression seemed very excited, understandably so, Noah thought he would be even more excited in his shoes,
"Sister took me to Hell!"
"And do you know who you met?"
Noah continued to inquire.
"Met a very terrifying... Titan, Sister told me to call him Grandfather."
When Iliad answered Noah, a hesitant look appeared in his eyes, but he still answered, then his expression somewhat bewildered, looking at his father who seemed unbothered, as if he understood everything.
With his acquired inheritance after birth, coupled with his understanding of his surroundings, he could determine this was a very terrifying Hell Demon God.
But what puzzled and troubled him was that this Demon God not only didn’t do anything to him, but instead acted like a loving and indulgent elder, granting him many Holy Armors.
These were exceedingly precious equipment, Iliad knew this deeply, even in Heaven, those Great Angel Leaders with illustrious battle achievements might not obtain them.
"Did you call him?"
Seeing his offspring’s bewildered look, Noah asked with keen interest.
The little one’s face turned shy and bashful, twisted and wriggled for a while before answering in a very low voice,
"I did."
As a Blazing Sky God and Ancestor Dragon, a possessor of two supreme bloodlines, to call a Hell Demon God ’Grandfather’, even if he seemed to be the legendary Titan, Iliad felt somewhat embarrassed, but what the other gave was just too much.
Of course, the most crucial part was his father, and the Legendary Mage who had always taken care of him and had him call her ’Sister’, their attitude assured him this Hell Demon God was not like those Hell Lords he knew should be killed on sight.
"Ah, calling him is good."
"But Dad, I shouldn’t have Hell bloodline, so why do I have to call him Grandfather?"
Seeing Noah unmoved, Iliad couldn’t hold back his confusion, questioned with an innocent voice.
"In terms of blood relation, certainly not, but your Dad was raised by him, so calling him Grandfather isn’t wrong."
"Ah, Dad, you were raised by a Demon God?"
The little one was instantly stunned, feeling like his worldview was overturned.
"Back then, it wasn’t a Demon God."
Seeing his offspring looking so ignorant, Noah had to calm himself, recounting the glorious past of his foster father.
