Guide To Reign My Tycoon Husbands
Chapter 612: Looking For Trouble
CHAPTER 612: LOOKING FOR TROUBLE
Qi Yongrui pulled the blanket to cover his body once he finished speaking. Seeing his actions, Luo Huian felt her lips twitch. She wanted to tell the mer that it was too late for them to be worried about this step. They did more than just look at one another last night. But upon seeing how embarrassed the mer looked, she realised it was better to stay quiet lest he melt into a puddle of water.
She turned to look at the clock on the wall and then remarked in what she thought was a casual voice, "I guess we are too late for breakfast. I will make something light for the two of us; are you okay with egg noodles?"
At that moment, Qi Yongrui would have agreed to hand over all of his properties under his name to Luo Huian if she had asked him for them. He pursed his lips and then nodded before saying to her, "Of course. I am fine with almost anything."
Luo Huian nodded. She picked up the shirt that had been dropped on the floor last night by her and pulled it on her body. When Qi Yongrui saw her wearing his shirt, he swore something had happened to him. At least he felt a twitch in his length. Even after everything that they did last night, Qi Yongrui looked down at his little brother down there, who was now covered with a blanket.
And fortunately, it was. Because if it wasn’t, he was worried that he would have been embarrassed to death.
Luo Huian, of course, had no idea what the mer was thinking about or what kind of changes had happened to his physical condition just because he saw her in his shirt. She first took a shower and then went to the kitchen after she finished dressing up.
"Huian, you are awake." Ye Shun noticed his daughter coming downstairs and smiled at her gently. He was in a much better mood without Luo Yeqing trying to destroy the only kitchen of his house by trying to make something for him for breakfast. With the peace restored for a while, he was quite calm.
Luo Huian paused in her stride before nodding at her father. She glanced at the newspaper that he was holding in his hands and questioned, "Is there something interesting?"
"Nothing," Ye Shun replied with a shake of his head. He then glanced at the newspaper and added, "Only that there is a new case of a serial killer."
"Serial Killer?"
"That’s right," Ye Shun nodded. He was frowning as he read the news to Luo Huian. It turned out that there was a woman or man targeting mers. And not just mers. Underaged mers. It was a crime as disgusting as it could have been.
He looked at the information that was printed in the newspaper and told everything that was going on to Luo Huian. The more he spoke, the louder and angrier his voice became. By the time he stopped reading the news, Ye Shun felt like his heart was going to burn due to anger. He smacked the newspaper on the tea table and then crossed his arms in front of himself before saying to Luo Huian, "This is abominable! How could they? How could they ruin young mers like that? Do they not have the smallest bit of shame or humanity left within them?"
Luo Huian didn’t say anything. She simply pursed her lips and watched the noodles boil in water as she prepared the rest of the things. She had to admit that the humans of this world were really despicable in the most disgusting way. She ladled the noodles into two bowls and then poured the soup that she had prepared. The kitchen had prepared some xiaolongbao, which looked rather delicious; thus, she even placed them in a small bowl and then turned to walk out of the kitchen.
"Have you eaten?" Luo Huian asked Ye Shun, who hummed in response.
"I did. It was quite a pleasant experience without smelling anything that should have been locked up in a nuclear power plant." Ye Shun snorted.
When Luo Huian heard his response, she opened her mouth to ask what he meant by it, but upon a quick pondering, she realised that she didn’t want to know anything. She turned around on her feet and headed upstairs. Upon arriving, she saw Qi Yongrui rubbing an ointment on his back. When he saw her, he stiffened slightly. However, after a short pause, he nodded at her and said to her, "You are here."
Luo Huian nodded back at him. She looked at the mer who was now dressed and questioned, "Did you call for a servant to take care of you?"
"Uncle Feng came to the room after you left," said Qi Yongrui with a light tinge on his cheeks. Because of what happened last night, Uncle Feng was worried that he was in trouble with Luo Huian. Thus, he hurried to see him. Though it was quite embarrassing when Uncle Feng rushed inside the room as if he was prepared to save Qi Yongrui from a burning fire, only to see him struggling to get up from the bed, it was better than staying naked in bed without getting cleaned.
At least with Uncle Feng helping him out, he didn’t have to worry about anything.
Luo Huian nodded. She then set the small table in front of Qi Yongrui and placed the bowl of noodles along with the soup dumplings that she had brought with her. She said to the mer, "Eat. You must be tired."
Qi Yongrui’s face turned red when he heard Luo Huian’s words. He didn’t say anything to Luo Huian and sat up straight before he started to eat breakfast. Once he took a bite of the noodles, Qi Yongrui sighed. He didn’t know why, but every time Luo Huian cooked something for him, he felt a surge of warmth in his legs.
He didn’t know whether it had to do with the psychological impact or something else.
If Luo Huian knew what was going on in his mind, she would have told him that it had nothing to do with the psychological impact. It was all related to the spiritual water that she was adding to his meals to heal his legs.
"What are you going to do today?" After eating a few bites of the noodles, Qi Yongrui raised his head and asked Luo Huian.
Luo Huian paused. She raised her head and looked at Qi Yongrui. Ah, this was a miscalculation on her part. She didn’t have the slightest bit of an idea about what to do after sleeping with her husband; the last time she slept with Fan Meilin, the mer was the one who took responsibility for making the entire situation less awkward.
But Qi Yongrui was different. He was much more silent and serious.
She pursed her lips and then said to the mer, "Nothing much. I was just thinking about taking Nian Zhi to the hospital. Doctor Tan asked me to bring her to the small hospital that he runs. Though I told him that we could arrange for the pieces of medical equipment at the farmhouse, he was quite upset about the entire suggestion."
Luo Huian had no idea why the mer was so against such a simple suggestion, but Doctor Si asked her to follow whatever Doctor Tan said to them. Thus, even though Luo Huian would have loved to arrange a special ward for Nian Zhi at the farmhouse, she could only agree with what Doctor Tan said to her.
When Qi Yongrui heard her response, he nodded. He then took a sharp breath and said to Luo Huian, "By the way, I was thinking about taking the children and our family to the strawberry farm. It’s not far from here, should we go there after you return from the hospital? Nian Zhi and the others will like it as well."
Luo Huian agreed because she too wanted to visit the strawberry farm.
While they were making plans to take Nian Zhi and her brother to have fun, Ye Jinglan was looking for trouble. He had been looking for the mer nanny ever since he wasted all the money that he had gotten from him that day at the hospital. It took him a long while before he could find the company where the mer worked, and when he did, he didn’t even think twice before barging right into the office.
"Hello, how may I help you?" When the mer at the reception saw someone entering the building, he raised his head and smiled at Ye Jinglan, even though he was quite confused upon seeing the condition of the mer’s clothes. The receptionist knew that there was no way a mer with an economically weaker condition like Ye Jinglan could hire a nanny but he still maintained his professionalism.
