CHAPTER 152: HANDING OUT INSTANT NOODLES (II)

Darling, are you thinking about using the instant noodles to earn some extra goodwill points? Xiao Xi asked.

Of course. She was just a few points away from unlocking the second level. As long as she could earn a few more points, Ruan Chanchan had nothing against making use of the supermarket. She smiled and explained to Chief Xie, "This is something that the Beast Goddess gave to me."

Ruan Chanchan had already thought long and hard about this. Since she was given the title of the Holy One, she might as well make use of it. Didn’t Xiao Xi say that as long as

"The Beast Goddess?" Chief Xie’s eyes went wide with shock. She had heard some members of the tribe calling Ruan Chanchan the holy one, but she had never taken it seriously, as she didn’t believe that Ruan Chanchan had any connection to the Beast Goddess but now—looking at the weird things that Ruan Chanchan had taken out from nowhere, Chief Xie had to believe that Ruan Chanchan was actually connected to the Beast Goddess. If not, what other explanation did she have to explain these weird things that appeared in front of her?

She had never seen such a thing, even in the Beast capital!

"Thats right," Putting on an exaggerated look on her face, Ruan Chanchan started her performance. "The Beast Goddess felt sorry for what happened to our tribe, so she asked me to share these good things with our tribe. This thing is called instant noodles, and this is called quick porridge. As long as we add boiling water to these boxes, the meals will be done, and we can eat them however we want."

When Chief Xie and Guo An heard Ruan Chanchan’s explanation, they turned and looked at one another. Neither of them believed a thing that Ruan Chanchan said because it sounded way too good.

Ruan Chanchan noticed the look of disbelief in their eyes and immediately glanced at Xie Daiyu, who hesitated but still went ahead and boiled the water. After Priestess Yuan taught them that they needed to drink boiled water, their family started burning a fire inside their cave by borrowing a burning log from Ruan Chanchan. He walked over to the dwindling flames and offered more dried logs to it before putting the stone pot on the fire and starting to boil water.

Once the water was done boiling, he added it to the two packs with quite a familiar attitude, which made Chief Xie and Guo An narrow their eyes.

"Daiyu, did you eat these things before?" Guo An knew his son too well. He was the one who carried his son in his womb for more than nine months. With just one fart, he could tell whether his son was suffering from constipation or loose motion.

So, how could he not see what was going on?

Xie Daiyu paused, his cheeks turned a bit red, and he nodded. "I have eaten these things, father. They are excellent. Why don’t you and Mother try it?"

Guo An trusted his son’s judgment. He immediately picked up the weird-looking bowl and started eating the noodles clumsily with his hands. At first, he was quite hesitant, as the content inside the bowl looked like it was made from worms, but that soon changed as soon as he took a bite of the instant noodles; his eyes lit up, and he soon started to devour them without stopping.

When Chief Xie saw that her husband was having quite a lot of fun eating the instant noodles, she immediately started eating them as well. Of course, her reaction was similar to her husband’s.

They had never eaten something so flavourful before and were quite excited to finish.

Ruan Chanchan watched them eat it without interrupting them. In fact, she even pushed the instant porridge in front of the two and made a ’go on’ action with her hands. The two of them had already tasted the sweetness of the instant noodles and didn’t hesitate to take a bite of the porridge. Their eyes brightened when the taste of the sticky, soft rice exploded in their mouths. They immediately took a bite and then another bite.

Before they knew it, they had cleared up the instant noodles and porridge.

The plastic cups were so clean that they could see their faces.

Seeing this, both Guo An and Chief Xie were a bit embarrassed. What the hell. Why did they eat these two things as if they had been starving for ages? But who could blame them? These instant noodles and porridge tasted good.

Chief Xie cleared her throat and said to Ruan Chanchan, "This thing is really good."

This was something that Chief Xie was also clear on; she nodded and agreed at once. "Alright, I understand. I will let the members of the tribe know this—" She paused and turned to look at the mushrooms and moon nuts. "But what are these?"

"Mushrooms."

"Mushrooms?" Guo An frowned and took a closer look at the things lying on the ground. However, as soon as he saw what it was, he immediately pulled away. "These are poisonous!"

"Dad, it’s okay," said Xie Daiyu when he saw the reaction of his father. "These mushrooms are really edible. Ruan Chanchan and I have personally verified that they are edible. I know that one of our tribe members died after eating these mushrooms, but that was because those mushrooms were poisonous. But there are many mushrooms that we can eat because they are not poisonous."
