CHAPTER 92: XIAO XI: FOUND THE KEY

Ruan Chanchan jumped in the air, and Xie Daiyu’s brows furrowed at her. He stared at her with a questioning look, and Ruan Chanchan immediately smacked herself on the leg before saying, "There was something—I think it bit me; it feels quite itchy." To make her act even more realistic, she even scratched her skin.

Xie Daiyu simply stared at her but didn’t say anything.

Realising that the mer was looking at her as if he was looking at a silly goose, she couldn’t help but lose her temper with Xiao Xi.

You brat, why did you yell so loudly? You made my heart jump out of my throat; do you know that? Ruan Chanchan scolded the system that was hovering next to her ear. If Xiao Xi hadn’t screamed in her ears, then she wouldn’t have given such a startling reaction.

"I am sorry, Darling. It was because of this mer who said something shocking that I gave this reaction."

Xiao Xi flashed an apologetic look to Ruan Chanchan, who raised a brow and asked, "What do you mean?"

Xiao Xi glanced at Xie Daiyu, who was standing in front of Ruan Chanchan. His host couldn’t see it, but he could see it clearly. The mer was shrouded in a beautiful white light. The more he looked at it, the more shocked he became. It turned out that this mer was destined for his host! His aura was different from that of other beast mers in the tribe. His host had no idea, but her presence was like an exception in this world.

While the beast goddess wanted to save this world, there was someone who wanted to ruin this world. A minor god who climbed higher, with his petty attitude, he wished to watch this world burn. Thus, there were troubles and obstructions in Ruan Chanchan’s path.

He turned and looked at Ruan Chanchan, who was staring at the mer with a do-or-die attitude, and sighed. It would be impossible for them to do anything like that for the time being.

Xie Daiyu seemed like he was eager to do it, but Xiao Xi was not going to make his host do something that she didn’t want to. He was not one of those unscrupulous systems who would punish his host and make her follow his instructions. He had his own values and morals.

I could look for some other loophole to exploit. Xiao Xi was lost in his thoughts, and Ruan Chanchan was eyeing the mer with a cautious look in her eyes. She wanted to see what kind of trick he was trying to play now. "I don’t have many skills. It was a miracle that I could save those people. Don’t you dare drag me into another mess." She cleared her stance from the beginning lest the mer pull her along into another trouble.

Xie Daiyu’s lips twitched when he heard the words of his woman. He raised his hands in the air and said to Ruan Chanchan, "I am not going to drag you anywhere. Just wanted to know where you are going so early in the morning. Did something happen?"

Ruan Chanchan kept looking at the mer. She had a feeling that there was something that the mer was not telling her, but when he didn’t say anything, she too stopped bothering to look for an answer. She lowered her guard, not completely though and replied, "I am going to look for a herb that can help Nan Wu replenish her energy and blood. She had lost too much blood; if she doesn’t take care of her health, I am afraid that the woman might end up getting weak."

Ruan Chanchan knew how important strength was to these beastwomen; she couldn’t see a good warrior like Nan Wu getting reduced to a useless person in the tribe just because she didn’t recuperate well. What was more, Ruan Chanchan took a look at the Nan family. She knew that if Nan Wu didn’t get back on her feet soon, her parents would certainly abandon her and Nan Zhi.

Those two people didn’t care for Nan Wu, but instead they cared for the hunting skills that she had. If Nan Wu lost them, then those two would no longer care about her or Nan Zhi.

Ruan Chanchan couldn’t allow such a thing to happen, as she had faced this thing many times in many of her past lives.

"You know something like this, too?" Xie Daiyu’s eyes lit up. He was quite surprised by Ruan Chanchan’s wisdom and wondered how she knew so many things.

Ruan Chanchan didn’t say anything and simply nodded. She then turned around and started to walk, but with the 3D model in front of her eyes, Ruan Chanchan found that it was quite hard for her to walk. She frowned and said to Xiao Xi, "I cannot walk with the model in front of my eyes. Can you do something about it? Such that all the information will be transferred into my head and I won’t have to look at it every time?"
